robbalvey
TPR's Australia Trip Updates! Part 1 - Luna Park, Sydney & Orphan Rocker Part 2 - Warner Bros Movie World & Superman POV! Part 3 - Sea World & Jet Rescue POV! Part 4 - Wet N Wild! TPR Takes over the Flow Rider! Part 5 - Dreamworld with Tower of Terror 2 POV! Part 6 - Aussie World with Wild Mouse POV! Part 7 - The Steve Irwin Australia Zoo! Part 8 - Luna Park Melbourne! Part 9 - Merimbula's Magic Mountain! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey everyone! Theme Park Review is currently on our first ever Australia Trip! Many of these parks will be the "first time" visiting for almost everyone on this trip! So lots of de-virginizing going on! We will document each park as much as possible, since these parks are not covered very frequently. Our first two days consisted of a "de-jetlag" Aussie Tour day including visiting the defunct Orphan Rocker, and then a visit to Sydney's Luna Park! The photos below should tell the story.... Theme Park Review is on our way to Australia! We will be sure our travels are well documented! And when we say well documented we mean anal probes of koalas and kangaroos! We arrived in Australia and they put up banners to welcome us! We weren't in the country five minutes and, no joke, Elissa stopped at McDonalds! Our new TPR travel pillows have multiple uses! "Don't worry Mr. Kangaroo, the anal probe only hurts for a second." "What did we do to deserve this???" KOALA!!! OM NOM NOM! "Please don't eat me Mr. Kangaroo!" Koala signature shot! Tasmanian Devil!!! NOTED!!! If you know what animal this is... EMAIL DAN! mrt0ad13@aol.com Hooray! Our first Vekoma! These are 100% politically correct! "Hey little girl...want some candy?" Orphan Rocker!!! Orphan Rocker was constructed in 1988 by an Australian engineering firm. Problems with the design caused it to never open to the public. The ride kind of looks more like a Cycle Monorail than a roller coaster! (at least this part.) Orphan Rocker may have never opened, but the Scenic Railway was pretty thrilling! We sure this thing is safe??? This thing has an INSANE angle of decent of 52 degrees down to the bottom of the hill! "Holy crap! That was more thrilling that most recent B&Ms!" It's hard to tell, but that thing is STEEP! Yes, we are all retarded! OMG! TPR does nature! Yup, it's a horse. We took the cable car back up the mountain. Orphan Rock. Orphan Rocker. Trees and foliage has overgrown the tracks. It's unlikely this thing will ever be completed. The ride only ran a few times with staff and to film a movie that shows in the visitors centre. The lift hill. You can still see the train locked up where it's been for nearly 25 years. Close up! First Australian boob credit!!! "Hello? Mr. Goodbar? Are you in there???" Abso-F**kin-lutely!!! My Wagamama order! Day two starts with a quick photo stop at the Sydney Opera House! Our first park of the trip!!! OM NOM NOM!!! MUST EAT TPR!!! TPR was given a tour of Luna Park taking us through the parks history. We got to check out the amazing looking fun house. Luna Park is one of very few parks left that has a fun house "wheel!" Brad showed us the pictorial history of the park that is on display in the fun house. Yes the front entrance face used to be even more creepy! Just for fun! This looks like it will give some serious airtime! Wooden Wild Mouse for the win!!! This is a real "old school" mouse from the 1950s. Hey look, Jeff Johnson, this one is TWO credits! "Please don't let this kill me!" The Wild Mouse has an AWESOME view! Wild Mouse POV!!! This was a pretty damn cool coaster! TPR takeover on the wheel! Dan is having steering issues on the slide. "Hurrr....I'm can't do da slide..." Barrels of fun! Barrel FAIL! Near vertical slide! These slides are nuts!!! Fortunately for our lawyers, no TPR members were injured on the wheel! FUN HOUSE VIDEO!!! Nope...nothing politically incorrect here at all! KidTums found a ride her size. "I just found me a new wife!" And my sexy mistress... This is not just your average Rotor...this is the most OMFG insane Rotor I've been on! The floor drops about 3 feet! Nothing politically incorrect here at all! Our lunch venue has an amazing view! A special menu just for TPR! Elissa's amazing salad!!! Dan loves hot meat in the mouth! Dammit! They even brought Dan a diabetic friendly dessert! No Dan death today... Thank you Luna Park! We had a fantastic day! And now to take a stroll around Sydney... "What about us brain dead slobs? You'll be given cushy jobs! Is there a chance the track could bend? Not at all my Hindu friend." Vote for this man NOW!!! And what exactly is wrong with "out of control prostitution?" Burger King is "Hungry Jack's" down under... They even have the Aussie Whopper. If you need to find me, I'll be in here! Just found the perfect souvenir for KidTums' classmates! "Hey Joey...I'm touching Amy with my balls." These aren't the only balls Dan's had resting on his chin! OMG! Why aren't we getting ERT here??? Australia is co-inhabited by humans and zombies. I had no idea! I learned something today! Any one of these people...could be a zombie...they live among us...just like normal people...except they are undead. Another random zombie. Australian Zombies feed off brains...and McDonalds. Who doesn't love a good cock fight??? Sydney has a real London feel to it...which makes sense. The city has an interesting mix of old and new buildings. More zombies just hanging out...waiting for the bus. Back to our hotel... Yay! Dinner! More Aussie updates to come soon! Schibbles
I can't wait for you guys to hit up the Gold Coast parks! I've always wanted to know how some coasters such as Superman Escape compare to the likes of Xcelerator (I mean in smoothness and stuff, with forces we both know its Xcelerator) or how rough Lethal Weapon is compared to other SLC's. Whatever the case is I hope you guys have a blast! Just wondering, has any ERT been organized for any of the parks?
robbalvey
^ Yes, we have either ERT, backstage tours or both at all the parks we are visiting.
