^ What is sad-and-pathetic style?

Yay, just placed my order, ordered my cousin's registration as well with mine as suggested. I also topped it off with some TPR shirts: 2 for me, one for my cousin I'll get the shirts in before the event, right?

Probably not since Robb has already left for the East Coast trip.

Yea, just messaged Robb last night. Oh well, it's cool, gives me something to look forward to from TPR after the event's done.

I'm on the fence about last call registering for one or both days. I don't know anyone else from the area that wants to go with me cause none of my friends like the parks very much and the only TPR member I know in the area is CoasterPalooza but it appears he can't make it.

Well, 1 week away. There's no turning back now that I've already paid for the event. I'm definitely excited to see what CGA may have in store for us on top of the list of events we already know.

I do have one question. When we arrive at the parks, is there anything we need to bring with us as proof of payment and registering for the events (such as the email receipt I received), or just provide ID when I pick up my tickets?

This is going to be one long week, leading up to an epic weekend!

My friend and I are going to the SFDK day. We're driving down really early in the morning but I know for a fact that we're going to be too tired after the event to drive 4 hours back. We're trying to book a cheap motel tonight.

I wanted to know where other people are staying and if anyone has suggestions about inexpensive motels. We were looking at the Relax Inn for $20 for the two of us for one night, but that motel and the other 2 or 3 cheap options are in the same part of town and had some bad reviews about seedy people hanging out in the parking lot. We don't really care if the hotel is nice or not, but being two single young ladies on our own, I just want to make sure that we're not going to get raped, mugged, or have my car broken into for the one night. We've never stayed at these hotels before (all of the times I've gone in the past my dad was driving and we drove an extra hour or two to his mom's house). I'm not good at driving when I'm tired and I've never gone to an amusement park for a day and wasn't extremely tired by the end.

Any suggestions? We're up for anything. We're even willing to sleep in my tiny 2-door car at a rest stop if it seems a better option than a motel. We really don't want to pay more than $60 or so.

^If you could mainly if you wanted to also hit up the CGA event, you could drive about an hour's worth and hit up the Avatar Hotel next to CGA. I don't know their pricing though.

Curious, how many are actually doing both days and what's the headcount for the event?

We weren't planning to go to both days, mainly because of cost for the tickets (we don't have season passes) and food, gas, and lodging.

Do you know of any good places to stay near SFDK? We're looking for $60 or cheaper for one room for two people.

Finally - so glad there's a TPR trip we can attend. Our last was Magic Mountain in the olden days when Deja Vu was still running ...

Isn't Deja Vu still running? It was on my last visit to MM last August.

Yes it is, maybe they meant Psyclone.

oops. Did mean Psyclone. I may have been trying to block out the horror of that ride and substituted another ride in the park.

So does anybody know if a final schedule is being emailed or mailed to the folks who signed up or if we go with the info posted here on the website? We did receive our parking pass.

Thanks - see y'all Saturday

final schedule should be emailed to you pretty soon..

I was wondering the same...or if it all depends on when we finish eating. I'm not sure but I am excited for the event! Unfortunately, I won't be able to do live updates as I'm still somewhat oldschool with my phone...no data plan, no internet. For those who upload photos via text message to Facebook, is it possible to upload photos to another wall other than yours (being TPR's wall)? Otherwise, I'll have my photos up probably Sunday evening or Monday evening with a nice trip report.

I do plan on bringing my camera to both events and will try to shoot as many photos as possible and safe to do so. I'm curious, what is the headcount anyway? Is it more than a B&M trainfull?
