Jojo19799
Thank you for giving me something awesome to read while I'm at work. I miss MoA and can't wait until my next trip there. I still need the kiddie credit. For some reason I thought adults were not allowed to ride.
Jakizle
Update time! After surviving an epic stay in the Bates Motel in Iowa and being visited by the famous Leslie Hall, we plowed through Corn and made it to Adventureland Friday morning. This park ended up being REALLY nice and SUPER friendly! Â Following this update will be our quick credit run and Prowler ERT on Friday night before our full visit to WOF on Saturday! The TPR bus pulls into Adventureland. As Clark would say, "Were the first ones here!" The park's entrance immediately reminds you of Magic Kingdom! See what I mean? It was very charming! Unfortunately we visited right after the front area of the park just claimed by a fire The park was VERY nice though! It was pleasantly surprised as we walked back to our first coaster of the day... ...The Underground! This basically was very similar to Blazing Fury and Fire in The Hole but didn't have the large drops those coasters had...but it IS a wood coaster! Next door was Tornado, the parks classic wooden coaster! It really pays off to get to park at opening! Robb did some filming as we rode, so I joined him and took some pictures for your enjoyment Lift hill enthusiasts, rejoice! Spot the TPR members! Its so much fun going around the park in a big friendly group First drop fun! This was my favorite drop on the ride! I love how it just disappears Overall I found it to be pretty forceless but really smooth and just FUN! As we headed to the back of the park, it appeared that Outlaw wasn't open yet... ...so lets ride the raft ride! We decided to join forces for the fat mans raft, and robb and myself were on the other side of this photo =] The lift hill provided some cool views of Outlaw CRAP. We ended up creating a huge splash at the bottom and got soaked...and broke the freakin ride!!! Hmm, that's a good sign! Seems like a good way to dry off. Wow, holy fail on aiming the camera, Jake...but you can still see us! Outlaw is technically a CCI...but everyone knows it's the first GCI I will never let down the lift hill enthusiasts. Some of the layout. Here we go! Outlaw spends a lot of time crossing underneath and around itself...a true twister! Airtime!! Outlaw has a good mix of curvy bits and hills, a solid coaster for this park! Funny story here...this first hill of the ride is VERY violent as it is full of negatives and the first Robb filmed it jarred the camera...luckily the people in line let us ride again and thats where the great footage you guys can see came from One last picture of Outlaw because it's that fun! A couple of us took a little break from coasters and checked out the parks mini frisbee! It was amazing! It ran a really long and really great program! I swear these are so much better than the big ones (Sorry MaxAir!) Unfortunately we had one last coaster to ride here...the infamous Hopkins looper. This was also the only line we encountered all day...go figure I thought the lack of air gates was totally awesome. One last coaster of onrides for you guys! This made really weird noises...oh god. Just incase you were wondering what most of Iowa looks like... And this is what pain looks like Thank god, we made it back alive. All Adventureland coasters conquered After all our riding, we were ready for a nice lunch. We hung out and ate at the clubhouse! After lunch we walked around the park and checked out some of the other attractions, such as the sky ride. It came very close to the log ride, but I didn't feel like getting wet Waling around the park is just filled with charm everywhere. How about a train ride? This is actually where the park's Galaxi used to sit but closed over 10 years ago. Notice the extra long platform? The train also took us by the parks rapids ride which looked VERY nice, especially for a smaller (relatively) park. The last thing we did was have a mini TPR take over on the rotor! Hi guys! KT totally LOVED the rotor! That's it for Adventureland! This park ended up being a lot bigger than I would have ever thought and so much nicer too! I really enjoyed the visit! QueerRudie
Another great 'post' update- and for a small park in the middle of Iowa, a definite Gem. Â (Not to mention: Their OD Hopkins looper looks like it was actually FUN!) Â R.D.
SharkTums
KT's love of rotor's has continued, although the one in Sydney was almost too much for her. The floor dropped more than she is tall!
mattnz
I loved Adventureland! What a cool little park. Wish we made it on the Rotor. Ah well, at least we made it on the one at Worlds of Fun.
Guy T. Koepp
Awesome TR so far. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it.
Jakizle
How about right now? Here's a quick little update! Â After our amazing day at Adventureland we made the trek down I-35 to Kansas City, Missouri. After a quick stop at the hotel we went over to the park for a quick 2 hour credit run (since the next day would be Saturday) and PROWLER NIGHT ERT!!!! This would be the TPR bus outside our hotel! Shout out for our AMAZING bus driver Brian. Epic stories were told. This was also the view from out hotel room! I like how the ride's just sticking up above a field. For a Cedar Fair park I felt like this park actually has a pretty unique location...the egdes are very "hilly" and field like while the inside is very...lush. It was still light outside as we filed in. The first part of the park we walked through was the nighttime spectacular thing...it was a nice touch! Might as well knock this POS out first...it was a walk on thankfully! Lots of cool down time was spent inside Coasters as we made our way to the back of the park We took Mamba for a few cycles...just a good fun ride! Nothing too special but not boring either. A nighttime ride on Timberwolf was filled with some OMFG moments, but also many WTFs??? Continuing around the side of the park we made our way to Patriot. Sadly, this invert was a perfect example of the "new age" forceless B&Ms The longest (and really only) wait of the evening was for Spinning Dragons! These rides honestly do nothing for me, but every park I go to that has one it seems to be a big hit with the GP! Coasters are pretty at night. After gaining 5 of the coasters and still waiting for Prowler ERT...we took another lap on Mamba! Can't go wrong with a little airtime. But finally 10 pm came along and it was time!!! It might not look like much, but this station is where you board the train to heaven. Prowler makes everything move at light speed. Nick and David have no idea what a life changing experience they are about to embark on. OMFG where did all the riders go? Heaven of course, to hang out with the ride's designed God himself. All kidding aside Prowler was a petty kickass coaster and the night time ERT was wild! I just only managed to grab a few shots as ERT was ending. Â Luckily for you, in the next update we get up and close with Prowler!!!

Jakizle
Time for more PROWLER PHOTOS!!!!!!!! Â And Lamberts Cafe. Â -Jake Goooooood morning Worlds of Fun! We were back up at the park bright and early for some ERT! This mornings ERT coaster was...Patriot! How American! Patriot unfortunately was having technical difficulties this morning...but it's damn sexy to look at! For you R.D. However eventually the ride was fixed (it was actually a pretty major problem I think, kudos to the park) and we were allowed up into the station! Hi Jason! The park was actually open at this point, but they held off the GP so we could still get out ERT!!! This one's for you, R.D. One last shot of Patriot. While not the best invert, it still is freakin' good to look at. Bryan still needed his WOF credits so we made a round of the park. First up, Spinning Dragons! Time for another WTF was that OMG ride on Timberwolf. Last night I tried the front, so this time I opted for the back seat. Timberwolf doing it's thing. This ride has some crazy ejector hills but the rest of the ride is like banging against two walls for 2 minutes. Nerdy wooden coaster shot for those types. Ladies and gentlemen...I present to you the GREATEST FLAT RIDE EVER!!! This is the only shot I managed to get, but I don't want to give away any details of this sweet ride. Back to the coasters, another ride on Mamba was due. The lines aren't even that bad today! And folks it was freakin HOT on this trip...there is an example. After a lap on Mamba, it was time for more PROWLER!!!!! Wait a second...where is the line??? Yeah, at 2pm on a Saturday this was the wait on Prowler!!! Short wait = numerous rides on Prowler's glorious curves and heavenly lifting airtime. I guess the GP just isn't up to the challenge of conquering the mighty Prowler. I suggest taking Prowler (and any other GCIs for that matter) from the front side. Classy tattoo. After a few rides it was time to go backstage and get a little more personal with Prowler. Everyone get your cameras out! Jesus may appear at any moment. No one but god himself could have shaped these heavenly blessed curves. I had to use a quick shutter to capture a Prowler train because it travels at the speed of light!!!! What are you guys doing???? That's not Prowler! You're going to hell. Ahh, that's better. Prowler makes you go CRAZY!!! I believe Prowler has the airtime of El Toro, Balder, and New Texas Giant COMBINED I couldn't keep my hands off of this heavenly blessed beauty. Prowler will change your orientation forever. MORE PROWLER PHOTOS!!! Okay okay, I'm sure you've seen enough Prowler. Moving on... We spent the rest of our afternoon hanging out in one of the park's restaurants which over looked the log flume. It was very nice and relaxing and brought us back down to Earth after our holy Prowler experience. This is the last photo I took at WOF before.... the World Famous Lamberts Cafe!!! This is what it looks like from the outside. We had some time to kill before our tables were ready so we poked around a few shops and found these. I love Lamberts giant cups. I don't even think I needed a refill! Fried Okra is delicious!!! Oh yeah, this is what it looks like on the inside. I ordered the classic Chicken Fried Steak plate...wait that's not a plate. This was amazing. Newly vegetarian Bryan ordered a salad. THIS IS A SALAD!!!! The service here is great, as they throw rolls at you whenever you want one, bring you all kinds of sides, and then even deliver desert! Lamberts was amazing and totally lived up to the hype...I don't think I ate for the next 3 days. Everyone go there NOW! jray21
That salad had to be the most amazing food item of the whole trip! I don't think I will ever see another salad, or any food item for that matter, as big as that. Great pictures!

Jakizle
It's like a good 3-3.5 hours from the park (map here: http://tinyurl.com/3rfgrnf )...it was perfect for us because we were heading to Branson for SDC the next day! Â Speaking of the devil...i'm heading to work until 9 but will try to get SDC uploaded tonight because I'm heading to SFOT, In-n-Out, Wonderland, and Joyland for the weekend!!! It's in Foley, about 10 or so miles north of Gulf Shores. I love it and eat there every time I am down there. coastercrzyjames
Ah man Texas great photos! I really enjoyed our time at World's of Fun, and I have a friend whom just moved to Kansas City- I was telling him I really need to come visit so I can go to WOF again. I really do miss Lambert's Cafe, that place was awesome, but afterwards I was so full that the bus ride to Branson was slightly uncomfortable. Good times, I still believe that Middle America is the best trip I've done so far with TPR.
