jec8992
Ive never been to Fun Spot before. Always looked boring and overpriced with lack of rides. But now it looks worth going too. Those 2 coasters look awesome Now Magical Midway has some competition lol

AndrewRnR
^^ The go-kart prices may seem steep but you get what you pay for - some of the craziest tracks around.
Skycoastin Steve
It's been a little while, but I've got another doozy of an update for everyone! Lots more work has been done on the parking lot and entrance! Trees are starting to get planted, and they've put in curbs, as well. In case you were wondering about the Enterprise, here it is sitting across the street from the park. These have been here for a while, but they're the seats for Freedom Flyer. I imagine we'll start seeing a little train construction before too long. More palm trees waiting to be planted. Entrance building is coming along nicely. They've started putting up the supports for the pre-lift section of White Lightning! Walkways and handrails are going in! These men are working on a section of White Lightning across the street. Bottom layer of track is on, it's starting to look like a real roller coaster! Mmmmmmmm curves. Hard at work on the track immediately after the first drop. Oh yeah, looking good! Nail guns were made for this sorta thing. We've already seen this in this thread, but Freedom Flyer track construction is finished! This is the landing spot for the mid-course ramp. Hello there! Doors and windows are going in at the food court building. The whole perimeter fence is installed around the Skycoaster lake. Backside of the entrance building is getting some paint love. As is the food court building. That's all for now, thanks for reading!
Mrlittle
^looking great. It's amazing how fast that coaster is going up. ( I of course mean both )
Double0Kevin
Is the food court the building that is under where you load onto the Skycoaster? I like how the huge support is right there at the entrance to it.
coasterfreak101
This isn't so much a complaint as much as a nitpick on behalf of Vekoma, but man the catwalk under the first half of the drop on Freedom Flyer is so ugly. Glad to see the ride finished though, and so great to see White Lightning go up - the white supports look so good!

The only reason I know it's the Food Court is because it was labeled as such on their Facebook page recently.
jedimaster1227
Fun Spot has sent us some fantastic aerial photos of the expansion as it progress, along with an update as to the grand opening of the entire project! Here are very recent photos of the expansion on Fun Spot America in Orlando. Please note the progress on the wooden roller coaster – White lightning. Also the Green Commander go-kart track is being built up. The street of pavers is almost complete. The interior of the buildings are being worked on. Everything points to being able to open the new parking lot and side with the new building by mid-May. Rides will then open as they can. With everything being open for our 15th Birthday party on June 8th. We will have specials, entertainment, and local celebrities all part of a party being at 10 am that morning. More details will follow. I hope you enjoy the new photos.

thrillerman1
We need a place (at least) like this in Nashville.
Chittlins
There's a nice little spot of land between the sky coaster and the retention ponds. Was this where the water part of the original expansion plans was to take place?

Double0Kevin
I think it's amazing how much this park is increasing in size. I really hope they are successful (no doubts that they will) and we see these mini parks star popping up in more places around the country. vacoaster09
Where would one start to find investor/financing for a small park like this for a place like Mississippi or Nashville?
gatorchomp83
Just swung by the park and have a few pictures to share. There's been a lot completed since the last time I was there about 2 weeks ago. A lot more structure has been put in place for the return run. The next big hill is halfway complete. And the remainder of the lift as well as the pre-lift section has been installed as well. Onto the pictures!

SharkTums
I can watch them work on the woodie from my trapeze class! It kind of amuses me and gives me the strength to climb the 24 foot ladder!
