Rode Technic Coaster and Dragon Coaster. Ate some apple fries and split. Six Flags: Magic Mountain January 9, 2011 (Had a pretty good day keeping to the 48" rides). LegoLand: California January 23, 2011 Just rode a couple things before softball practice. Six Flags: Magic Mountain February 21, 2011 Went to ride Superman Backwards. Waited most of the day, but it was well worth the wait. Sealife Aqaurium: Carlsbad California February 26, 2011. Got a great deal to get 6 people in for $5 and took the family. Six Flags: Magic Mountain March 19, 2011. Day #1 of West Coast Bash. What a wonderful, exhausting day. Knotts Berry Farm March 20, 2011 Day #2 of West Coast Bash. What a soaking wet, freezing cold day... but I got to stand in the log flume!!! Weather didn't kill us it made us stronger. Legoland: California April 3, 2011 Went to check out the new Star Wars areas of Miniland. Really nicely put together. Disneyland and California Adventure April 8 & 9, 2011. Spent a couple of days at Disneyland for my birthday and loved it even with California Adventure completely under construction. Edited 5/4/2011 - I haven't been keeping up with this, there's trips I've already forgotten about. I know I've been to Legoland more times than I remember and have pictures for, but we usually just pop in and out of there for about an hour at a time. I have some things planned that are coming up, can't wait to get out of southern California and ride some new things. The Big So-So Posted January 4, 2011 Share Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) January 1 - Disneyland / Disney California Adventure - A nice clear day in-between rainy periods here in SoCal. I'm at Disneyland often and will be back many times throughout the year. January 2 - Universal Studios Hollywood - This was my first time at the park in three years, but seeing as it's a mere five miles away from my apartment, I decided to get an annual pass for this year. I only rode the Studio Tour, then left because I didn't feel like hanging around in the rain. This was my first time experiencing King Kong 360 3-D, which is good for what it is, but nowhere near as good as the late King Kong Encounter. January 15 - Adventure City - Great mouse, a rib-shattering kiddie coaster and an effective, though small, drop tower. Fun little park. January 15 - Scandia Amusement Park - I enjoyed the Screamer despite a little pain, but don't myself returning here anytime soon. February 6 - Six Flags Magic Mountain - One of my home parks. I'll be back here many times this year. Can't wait for the new coaster experiences! April 23 - California's Great America - This park is definitely lacking, but I still had a good time. Flight Deck is as good as everyone says it is, and Grizzly is definitely not the worst roller coaster in the world. April 24 - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - Nice surprise. Some good, though not spectacular, coasters and a lot of cool animals. April 25 - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - First time here in a couple years and remains one of my favorite parks. What a charming place. May 13 - Six Flags Over Texas - Got a few rides in the night before TX Giant Bash, and then had a blast at the Bash. I was really impressed with this park and think it would make a great home park. Solid variety of rides, pretty good theming for a Six Flags and a fantastic new airtime machine. October 16 - Disney's Animal Kingdom - great park, though light on attractions October 16 - EPCOT - my favorite park at Disney World. We spent some time there every day of our vacation. The food especially kept us coming back. October 17 - Magic Kingdom - fun to compare to Disneyland - I prefer Disneyland Park to MK, but WDW as a whole is a much better resort experience October 19 - Disney's Hollywood Studios - my least favorite park in WDW, probably because it feels so similar to CA Adventure. Wet n Wild and Movie World to come. I have a VIP Pass which allows me unlimited entry to those 2 parks, plus Sea World, until June of this year. Monday, Jan04. Sea World, Gold Coast, Australia. Very hot day, so waiting in lines wasn't something we were prepared to do.
