The "Rant" Thread

Crap! What I thought was just a "fake tooth" needing to be re-glued in my mouth...

Turns out it was an actual tooth, with a fracture line that finally "fractured"...

And now I will need a root canal to get the "dead nerve" that's still in the tooth,

before we crown it all back up.

Why does YouTube have recorded livestreams in a separate drop down section instead of lumping them with regular uploaded videos?! Nearly went senile searching for a video I was almost convinced didn't exist.

I'm feeling sore in my joints, and sniffling, and thinking I'm getting another form of

cold here. Ick. Staying close to bed, definitely not going out of the house (it's

raining now, and cold, so why even try.

Bleah.

Reality Check RANT

My "tooth crown" has now turned into a root canal, that now has to be done... "by a specialiSSSt". UGh.

And the Consultation FEEeeee for this new operation, will be....$125 Cdn.

Just to consult on how much MORE it's going to cossst me.

For the root canal work. The new Crown. And of course, the probably 'temporary crown' I will have to wear,

while I am coastering myself sick over at Cedar Point in June.

Uhghg. I do have money saved for this emergency, and still the trip is pretty much covered and paid for,

already.

Still - ugh. (I am so hoping the "healing time" in all of this, works around my trip to CP, in June.)

good news is that I just got done getting a crown too, and you can eat just fine with the Temporary (yay for BarBQue and Beer!). .

you just can't floss normally, and they'll warn you not to eat anything "sticky" on that side.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had wonderful company who came in for the weekend, for my Bday celebrations.

and we were commenting after dropping her off, on how she always is surrounded by drama, but this visit was surprisingly drama free (other than a minor issue with having to run back to a store to swap out something that was supplied in error the day after she bought it . . didn't notice until we got home). .

and then I got a text. . .she left her car keys in MY car while we were driving around.

and she is locked out of her car, an hour away from her house in her home city.

to same day express courrier them to her is over $400 (it's SUNDAY night for criminey's sakes). . . so she's scrambling trying to find a rental car to get her home (she DOES have her house keys. . for some reason, she only left her car keys. .jeez). . . to get her spare key and then go back to Airport to get her car.

but by now, I've already blown 2 + hours of my evening researching couriers, and she needs me to overnight her keys to her tomorrow. . . which means going to either Post Office or UPS store tomorrow (both of which are expensive, tho no where near the $400 cost).

so on a busy workday tomorrow, I'm going to have to run out and deal with this crap now. . .

I love her..but jeez. . .

^ Best I can do for ya right now, Bert...

I'll take it.

this on top of my Dad pissing me off a bit ago (I wish I didn't care that he really could not give less of a crap about my 50th birthday on Tuesday, but it really drives home how much I miss Mom, because she WOULD care). . that put me in a foul foul mood, and so Nick and I have been sniping at each other most of the evening.

oh and then I lost my wedding ring (realized it had slipped off my finger while I was putting new sheets on the bed in the guest room). . 20 minutes of frantic searching, and I found it (in the corner of the new sheet). . but that had me freaked for a bit, thinking I lost it elsewhere, and just hadn't noticed).

so yeah. . i'll take it. . been a fairly brutal day.

(and the lack of sleep ain't helping. . we stayed up until 3 am, and were up at 8am).

Over the last couple of weeks I've had to dish out $1000 on repairs on my car. While it has all been changing of parts that wears out on all cars (brakes & wheel bearings), it sucks when you have multiple things wearing out at the same time...

I swear to got, some days I just want to punch my partner in the face!! (Not that I would. I don't believe in an abusive relationship, and his face is way to beautiful to mess up) anyway... He thinks "Oh, if I'm a few minutes late (and by a few he means 10-20 minutes) it doesn't matter." Mind you, I'm the one who is always 15 minutes early for everything. Ugh. So people. #SMH

I just lost my wallet and I can't remember where I last saw it (last time I remember seeing it was last Tuesday night). Part of me thinks that I could've knocked it in the garbage by accident, but I dug around to find it, although I feel that I don't look for things hard enough. I wish that I could remember things better, and I wish that my anxieties didn't cloud my judgement and I could just look harder.

I'm such a moron. I went out to eat yesterday, and I had my retainers wrapped in a napkin (BIG MISTAKE), and I didn't realize I left them at the restaurant until I was almost home. I had to go back, look through their trash cans and their dumpster (can check dumpster-diving off my bucket list), and couldn't find them. So now I get to pay a few hundred dollars to replace them, right when I'm trying to save up for college. It was my own stupid mistake, so I guess I'm ranting at myself. UGH.

I HATE how much roller coasters are based on subjective opinions but everyone treats their own opinions as fact! If my favorite roller coaster is Mean streak (It isn't) people are going to say I'm wrong or crazy, or if I don't enjoy The beast (I hate it) other enthusiasts are going to talk about how wrong my opinion is.

With my David, he does it in the grocery store, by "wandering around" too much,

so I have to wait in an aisle, for him to come back and for us to resume shopping.

Drives me nuts! And yes, he's also not very punctual, unless his (literal) life depends on it,

which means usually somebody else has "set the rules," LOL.

Oh well, the dumb bastard loves me, so what can I do, hmm?

It bothers you, because you care about what people think, because you're 12... You'll get over it in another 12 years. It will still be the same, but you won't care.

^ I understand your pain. After two great weeks, where you really wanted to be, to come back to work is not a great feeling, for a lot of jobs.

My rant, is that this past trip to Cedar Point (finally, after years and years of knowing about it all), and it was only one week from start to finish, is my last planned trip until (gulp) 2019, where I have planned 2 trips to Disney and Knott's. One is for the Boysenberry Festival (April) with my David. The other is in Sept. for a hopeful repeat of West Coast Bash, AND the new Star Wars Land, recently opened that past summer.

It's a long wait, and I hope I'll be able to get over whatever angst I have about traveling somewhere else, in the U.S.A. before then.

But for now, it's a rant. Definitely. A RANT.
