chadster
Thanks for the POV Robb, that was amazing. Banked turns, helix of death, airtime hills, on what looks like about what 25-30mph in sections? I'm jealous.
ernierocker
A five-minute lift hill would not be entertaining unless it was Robb behind the camera!

thrillerman1
I think Ober Gatlinburg totally needs one of these Alpine Coasters...in the snow! Thanks for the video Robb.
SFOGdude25
This trip report is awesome! Glad you guys had fun! Skiing is IMO the greatest winter sport ever, and Park City is on my list of resorts to visit in the future. The alpine coaster looks so much fun! Thanks for posting! tt.repo.man
I only wonder how they keep all that snow off the track in a blizzard ! I looks like alot of fun!!
dmaxsba2408
Had the chance to ride one of those at Glenwood Caverns in the fall of 09. Made 6 trips down it. Must say it was one of the funnest things I have ever done. Thanks for the video and flood of good memories from the rides I had on one.
jray21
The Alpine Coaster looks awesome! I wish we could get one here in Tahoe. They tried to at Northstar earlier this year, but there were a lot of 'environmental' concerns and I haven't heard anything since. One complaint was noise. Looks like you guys had a blast! Too bad it's over.

rcdude
It looks like you had a good time skiing despite the semi-unfavorable conditions on the first day. Also, the alpine coaster looks like a lot of fun. If I ever go somewhere that has one, I'll be sure to try it.
odene497
Such awesome pictures! I really need to go skiing someplace other than our rinky dink mountain.
printersdevil78
These updates have been awesome! It's like going on vacation without ever leaving home. I've never been skiing, but I'd love to do that alpine coaster!
Popcorn54
Loved the update and video, Like how 5 minutes of the video is the lift hill. That looks like one of the best alpine slide things out there!
HerBlackWings
I'll be checking out the "mountain coaster" at Attitash in norther New Hampshire over the weekend. 4300 feet, not too shabby. Nick, come with me.

robbalvey
You guys not going to go to Deer Valley???? It's great for the kids Not as good for three year olds! Trust me, we've done all our research. Park City fit all of our requirements. They had a great kids program for Kristen's age (Park City offers a 3 to 1 ratio), it was closer to where we are staying for the week, they have the alpine coaster, its close to some of our favorite brew pubs (Wassach & Squaters), and it has the perfect type of skiing that we like - green trails and some blue. Skiing is only one of many reasons why we are here. Â We are well aware of Deer Valley, we have been there before, and we choose Park City as our skiing destination. It's one of the top rated ski resorts in the country and we really like it. If you like Deer Valley, that's great... you go there! Â --Robb "We are more casual skiers, not die-hards!" traincrossin
Park City definitely looks like a fun time! I love skiing and am loving your winter adventures! Â Imma have to hit up Park City some time. But this year, it's Breckenridge again. I'm going to Breck in a week for some skiing action, they opened up an alpine coaster too! I can't wait to ride it, it's going to be my first one!
