printersdevil78
I just got back in from watching the lunar eclipse at its peak. This is the first time I've seen one, and it was amazing! Wish I'd had a telescope to see it really well, but even with the naked eye, it was incredible! Anyone else catch it? What did you think?
ScottBrown
Looked pretty good from here
AllenA07
Always enjoy seeing those, and this is the first one I've seen in a few years where clouds didn't ruin the night. I didn't bother with the telescope (I've got a 8in scope) because I frankly don't think it would have done that much, plus the thing weights in the range of 60 pounds and that didn't seem like much fun to move at 2am. The shadows on the moon are what give a sense of depth when using a telescope, so under an eclipse I'd imagine that you're actually going to get a flatter image of the lunar surface. Saldek
I loved it. Â It looked amazing hovering right next to Orion.
XII
Unfortunetly for me, the damn clouds obscured the actual eclipse itself. But on the bright side, I could still see it's effects and got some really cool photos of how the clouds were from the eclipse.
Coaster Cow
I woke up for a pee right at the correct time. Too bad its friggin' cloudy here in upstate.

Jerrykoala2112
Apparently you couldn't even see it from Chicago, which is pretty lame.
cal1br3tto
I heard it was hiding behind clouds where I live. But perhaps it explains my disturbing nightmares at around that time...

rolercstrluvr
I went and watched the whole thing up until it's peak at Mount Hamilton. Not a cloud in sight, it was one of the best i've seen since 2008.
Joe Cool
It was to cloudy to see it here in St. Louis.

ebl
It was all clouded over here, but I would have missed it anyway because I forgot all about it. Â Eric
DerekRx
I enjoyed seeing it (hated the cold weather though). If I had known about it sooner, I probably would have had the intelligence to get some sleep and then wake up when it was happening instead of staying awake until 2:41am to see it reach full eclipse before finally getting to bed. Duh on my part!
Angry_Gumball
Nice and clear in the Bay Area...fortunately, 11:30 was when it was nearly full.
samisthabomb
I was going to stay up and watch it, but I finally said screw it and went to bed. I'm glad I did, though, since the only thing you could see the entire night in East Texas a blanket of clouds. Pictures are good enough for me
