The idea behind this topic would be to share some of your favorite pictures of 2010. These can be pictures taken by you or pictures you've seen on TPR. Feel free to share the stories behind these and why they are so special. Let's see how this goes, feel free to comment and post your suggestions/images. Below are some of my favorites from the first half of the year (might add some more later on) Let's start this trip through memory lane Olympia looping, One of the most awesome ERT session i was part of. The media day at Belantis for their ride Huracan. Efteling, it's a nice park and with the addition of the new GCI woodie (Joris en de Draak) it only got better. Fire thing at Bellewaerde Park. New place i got to visit with some old friends Fire dive dude at Fort Fun The promo ladies at belantis park.. something with Playboy if i remember correctly After 10 years i got to get back to Universal Studios Hollywood... I don't know why... I just love this one. It's as if Walt were topping off the Astro Orbiter... My current desktop picture on my Mac. It's the Tronorail! For some reason, the way this photo was captured, it made things almost tilt-shift in feel. Hogwarts is so photogenic! One of my favorites taken with my Pentax Optio S5i. Awesomeness at Bay Area Bash. More Awesomeness from Bay Area Bash. Mr. Six's Splash Island opens up at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. I just love how this shot on California Screamin came out with the other train dueling. Setting the lake on fire during the World of Color Show. This shot turned out perfect. I just love how I got the entire train in and how perfectly it is set up with the American Girl Store in the background. Prowler in all its holiness. Fun at the City Museum. (I just LOVE the expressions on everyone's faces.) So many amazing backstage shots. This one is of Mr. Freeze. Here's a good Voyage shot that I really like. Now who was it that said you don't get wet on Pilgrim's Plunge? I actually managed to photograph the lightning from the thunderstorm during the TPR Bridge Party @ SFGAm. The only editing I did was to resize them. Millennium Force's red train just as the sun came up. I love how I captured the pure speed of Millennium Force during its morning test runs. Sunrise + Millennium Force + The Moon = Pure Roller Coaster Beauty I still don't understand how this shot came out so well, but I love it still. My absolute favorite of all. My vote for favorite little wooden coaster goes to.... But my favorite at Mt. Olympus is Hades. After shooting this late summer it was my desk top picture for the last couple months. Okay I'm cheating here. This is only slightly amusement park related. I shot it at a Ren Fest that I visited in the middle of a multi day amusement park trip, but possibly my favorite picture of 2010. Coaster shots are nice, but if I can capture kids having fun at parks those are the pictures that I consider priceless. Love this framed shot through the trees. Griffin your the star of one of my favorite pictures of the year. This to me was my favorite picture of one of my favorite days of 2010. TPR day at SFGA was absolutely a blast. My favorite picture from Darien Lake. My favorite Cedar Point Halloweekend picture from this year. One of my very first attempts at panning. I like the way this turned out though. Love Kings Island's nightly firework display. Something about the fountains, fireworks, and tower all working together visually. I doubled my coaster count this year but Voyage still stands as my number one. I think I also have more pictures of Voyage than any other coaster. These kids were already posing for their parents. Showing love for Iron Wolf A cool silhouette of Raging Bull and Demon First time to Holiday World, here's Raven! Liberty Launch doing its thing Do the clouds look fake to anyone else? Trying my best to get an action shot Raven Splashin Safari with Wildebeest in the corner Raging Bull turnaround Batman Behind the scenes look of Iron Wolf I view of the first drop you can't usually get The timing on this one was perfect Giant Drop and Raging Bull Raging Bull and Viper on a backstage tour The storm from TPR SFGAm day, very eerie yet totally awesome! Last May on the Atlantic City Boardwalk I learned that we don't have to the end of 2012, the world is ending sooner. Bushkill Park before American Pickers got there. I did not even try, but almost got three tower rides at Coney Island morphed in a single line. Prizes at Seaside Heights Haggling with this German guy during his bachelor party to charge Renee only half price to take a picture with him. Olypmia Looping goodness Derek backstage at Europa Fun at Phantasialand View from an Austrian sky lift Taking this picture looking into the sun ruins it for many, but I like the result. This carousel at Vidam was gorgeous, I wish I had taken better photos of it. A buddhist in Budapest. Being my home park since birth I often forget when visiting to just LOOK at where I am at and how I just take living so close to such a nice park for granted. Nemesis at Alton Towers! From the queue line! Air at Alton Towers! Very close to the gound! The amazing view from our Hostel in London! Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park! Trying to be artistic! Stealth! Random X-Raptor track pieces taken during my first and only visit to Gardaland this year! Rainbow Magicland at Valmontone! The loop, the insane turn and some theming! Oh, and I am not a very good photographer. I305 after Grizzly ERT. My current desktop background. Okay this is cheating, my dad took this picture, I was on the ride at that time. Sexy. January, sunset in Hawaii March, Josh's first WCB April, Josh's first ride on Riddlers. June - Dodger Game and booing Manny August, 3 concerts in 3 days. Day 1 - Rush!!! Day 2 - Weird Al Day 3 - Primus August - San Francisco 49ers game for my bday In September I finished my first 1/2 Marathon October - Backstage tour at Haunt October - Josh's first Fright Fest December ... my favorite memory of the year.
