vuurvogel
Roller Coasters in the Raw 5. Awesome. I like the new smaller caskets. It means more room for more coaster dvd's. I think it is good to have a bit more time to read the coaster specifics. I used to pause the dvd's. that is not necessary on this dvd. Great work on this raw edition. I didn't remember the speed of ispeed, I thought, wow, that fast.
robbalvey
I think it is good to have a bit more time to read the coaster specifics. I used to pause the dvd's. that is not necessary on this dvd. To be honest, it wasn't totally by design. Just kind of happened that way. You see, I always struggle between "a few more seconds of coaster footage - or a longer intro slate..." I figured people would do what you say you did - pause the DVD if you wanted to read the screen. But when you think about it - 5 seconds of longer intro slate times 17 coasters is...well, basically another complete coaster POV! Fortunately on this one though, I had enough space to make them a bit longer. Glad you liked it! More to come! --Robb
rollin_n_coastin
Just got the package today and really enjoying it! I know it's not high def but the quality of the footage and encoding is so good that it could just about pass for 720p. Congrats on another great video Robb! Really like the reverse POV. Oh by the way, the lady that gave you the finger at Belmont during the Giant Dipper POV? Nice area culture capture

Simon Baynham
Hi Robb / TPR Members Congratulations on 1,000,000+ posts. Will there be a DVD release: "Roller Coasters In The Raw! 6" If so, what is the likely theme? Did you (Robb) mention something about Japanese steelies? Read you all soon Simon Baynham (Andy Shine's Glamorous Assistant) http://www.rollercoastermedialibrary.com
robbalvey
Good question! At one point I was considering an "Asia Specific" RAW DVD, but after asking some people and collecting information, I decided to hold off on doing that. There WILL be another RAW released this year! I am trying to focus on collecting as much HD (High Def) footage as possible to put together another Roller Coasters in the RAW Blu-Ray and a Roller Coasters in the RAW Volume 6 DVD. I would suspect that both will be available in the fall, and each would contain different coasters as the DVD and Blu-Ray releases are still treated like two different series.
