thedoctor777
I went to Queen Mary Dark Harbor on Friday the 29the and was having a good time until.... I exit one of the mazes and security is there claiming that SOMEBODY complained that they saw me groping and molesting multiple people in the maze! I was not allowed to defend myself or complain. I was escorted out an exit and told there was nothing I or they could do...The desicion had been made. I don't think I have ever felt so hurt and humiliated in my life. Why would someone make this false acusation against me? I can only think maybe it was a mistaken identity and the real culprit got away or maybe they had another reason for wanting me gone and this was a convenient excuse. I was dawdling in the maze because I really enjoyed seeing how it was all put together. It was certainly not dealt with in an appropriate manner and I hope it does not happen to anybody else. I'll try, probably in vain, to get a refund and an apology.
Marita714
that really sucks...its better getting kicked out than getting arrested...
beatle11
Damn, if someone complained, what is the park supposed to do? Looking at it from there perspective, they really had no choice but to escort you out. They can't take the chance that the accusations are true. Hopefully they give you a refund though. They should at least give you the benefit of the doubt on that.
CardCraze
Wow, are you the world's fastest molester? I mean, how do you molest somebody within a maze without anything happening until yu exited the maze. I mean, that's not something that just casually happened. "The maze was pretty good. The scare actors were lacking a bit, but I stopped and molested somebody in one of the rooms before being on my way, so I got my money's worth." FLIPDUDE
Ugh,that sucks... Reminds me of the time an employee at my home park screamed his head off at me to get lost, while I was looking at the new coaster being bult(from the OUTSIDE of the park, mind you), and didn't even offer an explanation. chemical_echo
It's unfortunate, but it's the world we live in. If you're a guy and some girl complains you grouped or harassed her, it'll usually be her word over yours. But, as someone else said, at least it was just kicked out, rather than arrested. XII
I'm sorry to hear that that happened to you. False accusations are always a horrible painful thing to go through. But, like others have said, at least you didn't get arrested, so it could've been even worse.

Jew
As someone who has worked Halloween events at theme parks for many years, there seems to be a strange phenomenon that all people getting kicked out are NEVER guilty. No one is ever smoking an illegal substance (despite being seen doing so), no one is ever visibly intoxicated (they've only had a few), and no one ever hits a monster (despite being caught on video and/or positively ID'd by that monster). Weird. The bottom line is simple: You were on private property. They have every right to ask you to leave if they felt it was necessary. I highly doubt you will get anything back from them. Smoking that's one thing, but molesting? In a maze with god knows how many other people in it. I am not saying he is telling the truth, but I don't think you can sit there, and say he's a liar. How many people in this world make up lies about someone else, because they dislike them. There is a very high chance that someone doesn't like him, or he annoyed someone so what do they do? EASY lie.
Ace Of Spades
^^I think that phenomena is true with all instances of crime, really. Doesn't necessarily make it true though. Eh, I dunno, I just have a feeling this thread isn't gonna end well.
cfc
^^He's not accusing him of lying. He's presenting the point of view of the management of the event. There's simply no way for anyone here to know one way or the other what happened unless they were there. (I'm going to assume it was a misunderstanding, myself.) The point is that this was an event on private property--their rules, their call. Frankly, because the police weren't involved, no one would've heard about this if it hadn't been posted here. WFChris
I know its a new guy to the forums reporting this story so you all may not know him, but I know if a park told me I was molesting people I would probably be pretty angry. To change perspective, how would YOU handle it? Just shut up and leave? What if Robb Alvey posted this and said HE was kicked out? Would everybody be all like 'Well, Robb, its private property. Thats how it goes.' I think the kid should pursue his refund.
Angry_Gumball
Though not as extreme, I've been wrongfully accused of spitting off of a drop ride (Doubeshot at Santa Cruz to be exact). After the ride ended, my group was told that if we were caught spitting again we would be kicked off. We did not spit but felt it was best not to argue it especially with that attendant. In a situation like this, I'd just do whatever the attendant says so you aren't being 'defiant' and once things are done, complain to someone higher up, especially if you had witnesses with you, or if the other end can't prove it was you therefore leaving you screwed over. dammie16@vt.edu
I want to throw in another monster POV here. Did they actually say, "You were caught molesting?" Or was it touching. As a monster we will often get touched both accidently and on purpose but in a haunted house setting you may not see who does it. If a female monster was groped by someone in your group or near you it may just have been a misunderstanding but in the end the monster has to look out for their own safety. Guests, especially good guests, don't always fully comprehend just how much happens to a monster on a nightly basis. Also to add to the never guilty comment, we had multiple people WITNESS a monster get CHOKED this year and yet immediately when the cop showed up it never happened and it was all the monsters fault... ginzo
I'll try, probably in vain, to get a refund and an apology. Look at it this way: You got off cheaply. Losing an admission to a haunt is a LOT cheaper than hiring a good criminal defense attorney. And, really, management should have called the police considering there were a reports of serious crimes. It's not their job to figure that stuff out. The courts are supposed to do that. So, they did you a favor by not involving the law.
