Ryan King
Hey TPR Roller Coaster Junkies! Its been a long while since I've posted a trip report or even ridden a Roller Coaster! I have been very busy with School and Work that the Theme Park hobby has slowly slipped on the back burner. Well I am currently visiting my lady friend Erin, in Aberdeen Scotland for a little while. But she is often busy with her college schedule during the week. So I often leave the flat and stroll a few miles into town. One day Erin & I decided to take a different route and we stumbled upon a theme park! I'm really glad I found this little park. It was such a family oriented place, and it really got me back into the mood of roller coasters and theme parks. I forgot how happy and exciting new theme parks are for me. Anywho, No more gushy mushy I miss the hobby nonsense, onto the photos! So my morning started off with a walk, I came over the top of a hill and to my surprise... I see a Ferris Wheel! And Coasters! And A Scottish Guy! I was so surprised I started my jog to the theme park when suddenly I found this little blessing... After a few minutes of reading I decided to carry on. The coaster appeared to be running, which was a good sign for me. Especially on a gloomy rainy day. This is me jumping up and down like a pathetic foreigner excited about the theme park being open. They had a pretty good sized Ferris Wheel right at the entrance to their park. See, I told you. My approval has been given for an open gate. Although they didn't have confetti cannons or dancing scottish folk. I was semi-disappointed. As soon as you walk through the gate you're greeted by the herp derp whacky derper worm. And past the wormy dermy I was caught off guard. They had a Pinfari lopping star on the roof of one of their buildings. And to the right they had a little log flume. Why they were running a log flume in 40 degree weather was beyond me.. And it had victims. Apparently the locals don't mind being wet and freezing cold. Although I steered clear from it. I ended up buying their Unlimited Rides wrist band. It factored out to being around 10 or 12 bucks USD. So not too bad for unlimited riding. So I darted over to the Looping Star first thing. Erin displays that we are tall enough to ride. *whew* Dodged a bullet with that one. They also had an elevator going to Cuba, but the Unlimited rides pass didn't qualify. Here is the looping star in all of its Pinfari Death Machine glory. The Death March... This is my "I'm ready to die by the hands of a Pinfari" face Up I go to certain death Up Up Up we go..click click click click Round the bend. I love that you can see all the tall churches and buildings off in the distance. And Awwwaaaayyyyyyyyyy LOOP LOOP LOOP, IM COMING Upside Down Loopy Doopy shotz Brakey Brake This pretty much sums up my feelings for the looping star. It did beat you around. And since I'm a bit taller, the restraints really pounded into my neck. And I survived... Herp Derp Worm Here is the midway outside. Little classic games were set up along the sides for winning prizes and that sorta thing. The park was TPR Bloodshot Donkey Approved!! They had a cool little dark ride. Equipped with the typical air cannons and loud buzzing sounds. It was a throw-back to the classics. The park was well prepared for all the little ones. They had a handful of kids rides and their height requirements weren't too bad. Crazy Train!!11!1! Here is some signage for you signy sign fans out there. Up the lift hilllll This here is the wildest train in Aberdeen Action curvy left hand turny bits I choo choo choose you Hey Elissa, they had another awesome ass-bruise slide for you! Here was the information and height restrictions for the CRAZIE TRAINZ. Only 5 of their rides had restrictions. The 3 Roller Coasters and I think the swinging ship. The girl in the photo is sleeping against the sign...ssshhh... They had a really fun and exciting swinging ship. It was themed to Hawaii for some odd reason. We went for a spin in the Hauntttteeedd Mannnssiioonn. Most of the interior was much like this. Christmas lights and scary bodies. Well hay der laddies, why don't cha come on ova hera and gimmie a big ol smoochy Now inside, they had a little bike course around this pond. And of course in the pond, you could pay 1 pound and drive the boats. The park also had an eating area, and inside the eating area the little ones could buy some ceramics and paint them. You could turn it in once painted, eat, and pick up the product when you were finished. It was a REALLY cool thing for kids, I have never seen a theme park do this before. TAKE THE TUNNEL Past the arcade they had your typical rewards station..but..they had the best prize ever! Weight Watchers Scale!!! 4,000 tickets! We need more of these in America Erin decided to give the Whack a Mole a shot Attached to the games they had a walled off Casino for ages 18 and up. This old woman was here the entire time. Cmon, Granny Needs a new Cane! They also had a few lanes of Bowling The whole inside had a downstairs, mostly comprised of arcade games and the casino. Upstairs, however, had a really cool Bumper Car section. They weren't all safe like the American versions. This was the original real deal. After our bumper car ride, we decided to head outside and hit up the Ferris wheel for some ariel photos. You can really see how big the indoor part of the park really is from way up. It really nice for a small place like Aberdeen to have something like this for kids who are stuck inside all day when its raining. A photo of the coastline from the Ferris Wheel. Above view of the looping star of death THROUGH THE LOOP And I leave you with this photo of me imitating this gross giraffe. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed it! let1gre
That looks like a really great little park, with three credits to boot. Thanks for sharing coaster adventures from a far corner of the world (to me)!
DandAyr
I love your line "It really nice for a small place like Aberdeen" That will be Aberdeen the 3rd largest city in Scotland Good to see the place is still going though - looks likes the North East of Scotlands is smaller than the two 'amusement/theme parks' over here on the west, but at least unlike one of ours it is still a going concern. Thanks for posting about rides in our country I had not seen before.

You should try and get over to it sometime, it was quite nice. We spent a few hours there!
