Hi everyone,

It was time again for our (Benny (groteslurf), Eelke-Bart aka EB (Vuurvogel), Michael, Bart and me) little autumn trip. Destination Germany... We hit parks in northern Germany... at least all the big parks were in northern Germany. I'll let the introduction to EB cause he's much better in writing a proper intro for this trip.

full summary of the trip:

1. Fort Fun Abenteuerland (oct-5)

2. Hansapark (oct-6)

3. Heidepark (oct-7)

4. Serengeti Park (oct-7)

5. Zoo Safari- und Hollywoodpark Stukenbrock (oct-8)

6. CentrO.Park (oct-8)

7. Quick stop for Alpineslide in Bottrop (oct-8)

8. Movie Park Germany (Horrorfest) (oct-8)

First day, first park... Fort Fun.

Fort Fun is a nice little park situated in a valley. A few small coasters and some fun flat rides but most important there is a heck of a Alpine slide. This is one of the best Alpine slides out there, I do prefer the ones where the ride vehicle is not secured to the track like a coaster but this one... well it blew my mind.

Let's just go to the pictures...

It was a great trip !!

Except for the traffic jams and loooooonnnnnnnggggg drives the first day, all parkvisits were awesome and we had a great time and a lot of fun. Some parks a bit more awesome than others we visited.

Fort Fun was great. It's a really nice park with a great variaty of attractions. A big rollercoaster is still missing, but I agree, the alpine slide, those were my favorite rides of the whole trip. It's was really long, fast, awesome....

First time I didn't dare to ride full speed, 2 and 3rd time I did ride at full speed and it was SOOO awesome.

Really like that ride.

I'll start posting my reports soon in my thread.

Great to see the start of the report. My part will start coming somewhere next week. So the intro will not be the beginning .

Hans, I hope you were a nice Dutchman and got the pictures we need for the park index at Hansa and Heide:

Yes Larry, we bring you pictures from hansa and heide and a new park!! serengeti. But you already started with the park in the index I see.

On a sad side note, kaffetaschen at heide park is no more. Unless someone has a picture in their archives it is difficult to get a ride sign.

That's right, I already added Serengheti and Zoo Safari just for the pictures from your group

Fort Fun is one of those little parks that we have been trying to squeeze into a bigger TPR trip for years and it's just never quite worked out. We will absolutely go when we finally do "Robb & Elissa's Weird Parks of Europe" trip!

Thanks for posting the pics. The park looks like a lot of fun!

Trapper Slider looks insane, thank you for posting that POV. I guess I always underestimated alpine coasters.

I wonder how much it'd cost to get one of those to BGW...

It will never happen:

1 - Low capacity ride

2 - Need a much greater change of elevation for an effective mountain coaster, hence why they build them on mountains.

Day 2 - Hansapark Sierksdorf Germany.

Hansapark was one of those parks that I had my eye on for a long time. They have a awesome custom Schwarzkopf and since 2008 a massively themed Gerstlauer.

The park is great very good themed areas and a good selection of rides. We had a great, fun time here and I hope to return to this park in the near future. Thanks Benny for the awesome German Weissbeer!!

On to the pictures.....

Nessie!!! Great ride, what else can you expect of a Schwarzkopf.

We were lucky enough to have Nessie and Rasender Roland synchronised through the loop.

It was a very joyful moment maybe better than a rollback on TTD.

3rd day part 1 - Heidepark Soltau

The biggest park of the trip. I was really excited to return to Heidepark. This is such a beautiful park with great rides. The only downside of the day was that Colossos was closed . Actually this was quite a big disappointment but anyhow I'm getting used to that this year.

Heidepark has made some improvements to the flatride section of the park and they started some groundwork for the 2011 B&M. So I will be there again in 2011 to reride Colossos and getting a new credit.

We only stayed till about two then we left for a quick visit to Serengetipark.

Pictures...
