I305KD
I saw Marilyn Manson at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. I'm pretty sure it was May 2nd. I know for a fact that I missed Game 3 of the NYR vs Caps series because of the concert.
DallasAlvey
I went to the "KJEE Summer Round Up" last month at the Santa Barbara Bowl. It was one of those summer radio show there were a lot of notable bands playing like Grouplove, the Naked and Famous, Garbage, and Silversun Pickups. It was the second time I saw Grouplove this year, saw them at Coachella a couple months ago, they're a really cool live band by far one of the most energetic. Garbage seriously rocked and it was great seeing Silversun again, they're one of my all time favorite bands.
I305KD
Not sure if this counts but I'll say it anyway. I sat outside A&E Stage in Pittsburgh listening to Modest Mouse after the Pirates game a couple of weeks ago. EDIT - My 100th Post!
NJCroMag
Last concert I went to was Flogging Molly at the Bethlehem Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA (5/24/12). Brothers Of Brazil opened up and they were dreadful...some kinda weird calypso-/salsa-flavored rock. By the end of their set, a fair amount of people were applauding, but I'm pretty sure they were joking. FM were fantastic and played for close to two hours. Great setlist, great energy. I'd gladly go see them again (this was my first time seeing them). Also, this was only the 3rd concert at the venue EVER...so it was neat to be one of the first to check it out. There was lots of room in the joint, plus seating up off the floor going back both sides of the place. And the sound was marvelous.

SamanthaMc92
I was working at T in the Park (Scotland's biggest festival) at the weekend and managed to catch McFly and Twin Atlantic on the main stage It was wet, cold, exceedingly muddy and the air smelt of piss, sex and alcohol, but it was worth it
forces
Seal with Macy Gray at Wolftrap in VA last week. He moved more than he ever has before, place (including lawn) was packed. I guess now that Heidi is gone he is letting it all out on that stage.
AllenA07
I've going to see Evanescence, Chevelle, Candlebox, Hailstorm, Hellyeah, and Aranda on Sunday. It will be my third time seeing Chevelle, but a first on all the others.
Kenny
I've going to see Evanescence, Chevelle, Candlebox, Hailstorm, Hellyeah, and Aranda on Sunday. It will be my third time seeing Chevelle, but a first on all the others. Candlebox, Halestorm and Hellyeah all put on a great live show. You are in for a treat! I haven't seen Aranda and you know Chevelle is good already. I saw some opening band, My Darkest Days maybe? Bush and Nickelback, it was a good show. Not a huge fan of Nickelback, but I absolutely did not want to miss seeing Bush. They really stole the show. It was about 15 years ago that I first saw Bush at the same venue. Pretty sure the opening song they played was the closer the first time I saw them. Still amazing. The covered a Pink Floyd song(forget which one) and Come Together by the Beatles. Great set, wish it was longer. Nickelback was good, but again not a huge fan. Had a good stage presence and showmanship. Glad I went. After seeing Roger Waters The Wall, I think most concerts now won't be so wowing to me. That was one hell of a concert.
dylanreich
Devo at the Hollywood Park in Los Angeles. Third time seeing them, it was definitely worth showing up a few hours early to be in the very front and also meet the band members. Next up should be Odd Future in LA. the ghost
I saw a bunch of local bands last night. I saw The Combos, my friends band Hooray 4 Our Side, The Bohunks, and The Skank Agents... one of the best local ska bands around. It was awesome and was only 5$ with a bunch of rude boys/girls having an awesome time. Tonight though SUMMER OF SKA 2012 with The Maxies, Suburban Legends, Big D and the Kids Table(HELL YEAH) and Reel Big Fish(hell yeah) so it should be fun. It is also the first concert I can legally drink at, which is awesome. I had a single beer last night when the show started cause I had to drive, but tonight I am going to get some fun stuff! Tanks4me05
Just saw 4 Point 0 about a week ago. They're a local ska band (like, REALLY local; I marched with half of them in my rookie year of marching band in high school) and they kick serious butt. They just came back from a tour going down to Miami and back (I live in the Syracuse, NY area for reference) from which their biggest gig was about 150 people in the audience. YoshiFan
I saw The Offspring at the House of Blues in Atlantic City Thursday night. It was the first concert I saw there and I really liked the venue. There aren't a lot of seats so no one was really far back and I liked how if you were 21 or older you could get a wristband to leave the House of Blues and walk around the casino rather than wait an hour for the concert to start. The Offspring put on a great concert, even though they had a new album released this year they played almost all older songs which I liked. DallasAlvey
Saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Staples Center last night! Great show!!! They played close to a two hour set although I have to say they had by far the worst opening acts I've ever seen! They were actually laughable. Lone Wanderer
Kansas and Boston at the Ohio State Fair. IT WAS SO LOUD IT, THAT IT MADE ME ILL AND PASS GAS CONSTANTLY... I've seen Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper and they were nowhere near as loud as fucking Boston...I had to leave after the second song!
PurpleMontu
Aiden and Kill Hannah a fair few years ago now :/ Hearing Elton John on the promenade at Blackpool doesn't really count... However! Sir Clinksalot
Saw Procul Harum and YES last night. The show was "ok", not the best, not the worst. Procul Harum was actually the surprise of the night. Not the biggest fan of theirs but they put on a great show. YES was ok, the new singer wasn't the problem, it was the setlist and the fact that they probably should have given it up 20 years ago. At the very least I can say it was a concert I can check off my list. Procul Harum performing "A Lighter Shade of Pale". Amazing song. Yes - "I've Seen All Good People"

Ed Farmer
Went to go see Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket last night at Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. We didn't actually get the chance to watch Band of Horses because the beer line was 90 minutes (no exaggeration), we were able to hear them loud and clear though. Not bad, but I'm not as familiar with their material apart from their first album. My Morning Jacket was something to behold. I got tickets for this show in June based on the praise they get for their live show- prior to that, I don't think I've heard as much as a single song or theirs. So, I quickly Amazon'd all of their releases and pretty much crammed like you would for a Final at the end of a semester. I still wasn't familiar with a handful of the songs they played, but that didn't limit my enjoyment of their set because they were so damn good live. I'm pretty sure the setting of the show influenced my opinion of it to a certain degree, though: ^ It doesn't get much better than that. Oh, and beer lines were about a 90 minute wait right up until the end of the show. We thought that might be the case, and noticed that the people ahead of us were getting 4 or 5 at once, so we followed suit rather than setting foot in that line again. One guy somehow managed to carry 7 beers at once, it was pretty impressive.
bert425
Styx,Foriegner, and Kansasat the Woodlands Pavilion my Partner wanted to go to that show when it came to Austin. . but I think Journey was on the bill instead of Kansas? (because we were weighing the merits of seeing: Journey w/out Steve Perry, Styx without Dennis DeYoung, and Foreigner without Lou Gramm). LOL was it a good show? we *are* planning on going to see Asia in September -- as he is a fan. it's the 4 original guys, but they are touring a new album, so who knows how many classic songs they'll be playing. last show we actually went to was Weird Al, on the Alpocolypse tour (and that was quite fun).
