9th Season

Hello again,

Boulder Leisure Park is doing great! We've seen a slight dip in attendance, likely due to the lack of new attraction this year. Regardless, we're sure it will pick up once we get farther into summer.

People still love Mad Mouse!

This area is still doing well.

Rotor looks busy today.

Boulder Leisure Pools is still as popular as ever on these hot summer days!

Lakeside Dipper is a hit!

Come out and visit the park soon!

Have a great day,

9th Season

Hello Boulder!

Sorry I haven't been able to update you lately, I've been busy in the office. We've been ironing out our plans for the next few years at the park. Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed!

However, it is with a sad note that I must let you know - two rides will be leaving Boulder Leisure Park at the end of the year.

But before I tell you, see if you can guess! Full plans will be released at the end of the season.

Until then, here are some pictures:

This area got a makeover last year as well.

The Main Street Shops sure look nice from up here!

Hands up!

Great shot from the roof, just don't tell my boss I was up here!

This stop on Boulder Railway also got a new station building.

Please let us know what you think - see if you can figure out what'll be leaving next year!

Have a great day,

9th Season

Hey again,

The first ride to be leaving will be Shoot the Chutes. We hate to see it go, but we're sure you won't be disappointed with its replacement!

Any guesses for the second ride to leave?

Regardless, I have some pictures for you. I managed to get out of the office for several hours today, it was really nice being able to walk around the park for a while.

I will say, El Furioso has gotten rougher over the years.

Upside-down or rightside-up? This is quite the disorienting ride!

Everybody still loves Modern Motorcars.

It's the middle of summer, but crowds aren't quite as large as this time last season. Must be the lack of new attraction.

At least Paratrooper seems full!

See if you can guess what might be leaving next year!

Have a great day,

9th Season

Hello Boulder,

I regret to inform you that Super Slide will be the second ride to be leaving for next year. It's had a good run, but our replacement will not disappoint!

Regardless, onto some pictures:

You really do get some great shots from the top of Rocky Rumbler's second lift.

Mad Mouse always has a line these days!

Now that we've made an announcement, guests are trying to get their last rides in on Shoot the Chutes.

You can see the crowd levels are winding down now that school has started.

This Hospitality Center is one of the best spots in the park to sit down and relax for a bit.

An official announcement on next year's additions will come at the end of the month.

Have a great day!

Boulder, CO - Guests at Boulder Leisure Park will have another great way to celebrate the Bicentennial next year. Next year, the park plans to debut Washington's Whirl, a Tilt-a-Whirl attraction named in honor of our first president.

Washington's Whirl will be the new centerpiece of "The Forest" section of the park when it opens next year.

Other changes at the park include the renaming of English Tea Cups, which will become the Boston Tea Party. The park's first roller coaster, Mad Mouse, will also receive a new patriotic paint scheme.

Washington's Whirl will replace the current Super Slide attraction. Shoot the Chutes, the park's log flume, will also be removed over the off-season.

Guests can experience Washington's Whirl and other attractions at Boulder Leisure Park when the park reopens for its 10th season next year on May 1.

Hello Boulder,

I hope you saw our announcement about next year. Needless to say, we're excited! However, it is once again closing day. I managed to get a few more pictures before the park closed for the year:

Guests have to get in their last ride on Lakeside Dipper

El Furioso needs some love too.

The last ever picture of a blue Mad Mouse - new colors for next year!

Goodbye Super Slide! You will be missed.

One last ride on Shoot the Chutes as well. Sad to see this ride go as well.

It'll be another long winter...

Thank you for your patronage. See you next year!

The park will reopen on May 1.

Have a great winter!

The American Bicentennial

May 1976, 10th Season

Hello Boulder!

Welcome back to another great year at the park! I can happily say, Washington's Whirl is a hit! The park is doing great, and everyone seems to be full of excitement and patriotism this year. The park is doing better than ever!

Welcome back for our 10th Anniversary!

Guests seem thrilled to be back!

This small drink stand was added near the front of the park.

Here's Mad Mouse, sporting a new red-and-white paint job. (Let me know what you think of the supports, footers have since been added)

Shoot the Chutes sure leaves a large gap in the park's lineup... What could fill this spot?

It's a hit!

Come and check out the park soon!

May 1976, 10th Season

Hello again,

We're just about a month into our 10th Season here, and we're doing great! Attendance is up from last year, but still slightly lower than our peak season.

In other news, we're seeing some development towards the front of the park. I wonder what it could be...

Weeeeee!

Sea Serpent Looks like fun today.

Lakeside Dipper's crew is one of the fastest in the park!

Hmmm. This looks interesting

Stay tuned for more updates!

The American Bicentennial

June 1976, 10th Season

Hello America!

I managed to get out of the office again to snap a few shots of the park. Looking good, and there's a bit more development on the construction site:

Lakeside Dipper's viewing area is great for guests who need a chance to sit down and catch their breath!

We can't forget RPM over here! In other news, Hurler is still closed. Hmmm...

The park looks busy as ever!

This sure looks exciting! We'll have to wait and see what it is.

Have a great day,
