gci2011
Oh yes, the tile. I've been meaning to change that - I changed it to the matching red brick on Bumpers' exit, but I still have to change it for Mad Mouse's exit. Parkay? gci2011
July 1, 1973 7th Season  Hello Boulder,  I snapped a few more pictures today. Boulder Leisure Park is doing great!  Guests love RPM! Bombardiers stands tall over the crowded midways. Mad Mouse has been running great lately - guests still love the tight hairpin turns! Hurler hasn't been doing very well lately. Lots of maintenance issues. Can you spot the identical twins? Modern Motorcars is doing great as well - families love it! Ecstatic Elephants is quickly becoming one of the most popular rides in the park!  Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
PdiddieG
If I were you, I would would add some theme to the log ride. It looks very plain. Good luck, and a very nice park overall.

gci2011
August 4, 1973 7th Season  Hello friends,  I've just got another quick update from the park. Everything is going well for us - attendance is up, publicity is working, etc.  In other news, construction has begun on next years additions. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!  I'll get onto the pictures:  Nothing beats airtime on RPM! Guests still love Grand Wheel for thrills and a great view! Hands up! An overview - the east side of the park. An overview - the west side of the park. Not too crowded over this way, it seems. Look at that splash! Unfortunately, I've heard that Shoot the Chutes may not have much longer...  Come out and visit the park soon while the weather's still nice!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
gci2011
September 1, 1973 7th Season  Hello again,  Just one month left this season, before Boulder Leisure Park once again closes its doors for the winter. I've got a few pictures to share:  I forgot to mention - all of our café's and restaurants will get these new tables for their outdoor seating areas for next year. Guests really do love our new area! Apparently Hurler has become a "maintenance nightmare". We'll have to see what happens to it. All aboard! A sneak peek for next year - work is progressing steadily.  Hurry to the park while you still can!  Have a great day, -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
gci2011
October 1, 1973 7th Season  Hello,  Our 7th season is coming to a close. We hope you will visit us again next year when we open on May 4, 1974!  Guests love the Rotor! Hard to believe that these midways will be empty this time tomorrow. Lots of people have to get their last rides in before the long winter. Scrambler will be moving to our new area for next year - it's just too crammed in.  See you next year!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park

gci2011
May 4, 1974 8th Season  Hello Boulder!  Welcome back to another great year here at Boulder Leisure Park! We're doing well, and so are our guests - attendance is up once again.  I've got a few pictures from Opening Day for you, and I'll highlight our additions in the next update. Enjoy!  Welcome back! The bathrooms seem to be the most popular attraction! The first train on Rocky Rumbler rumbles up the lift. Guests are rushing to get on El Furioso. Ready to go! I will say, El Furioso has gotten a bit rougher since it opened 5 years ago. Hurler didn't open with the park this morning. On another note, new tables! Like them? Like this view? More tomorrow...  Have a great day!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
ericm95
It still looks pretty good. A couple things: - It looks like a lot of your buildings have a blue color scheme. Maybe try experimenting with new colors on your buildings. - I don't like the looks of hurler. That building is an eyesore. Maybe remove it and put a nice flat in its place. - Your buildings have definitely improved maybe try building a new station for El furioso? And is that a new woodie I see? Keep it up! gci2011
^I agree on all accounts. Â 1. Yeah, I use a lot of blue. I think it's a pretty standard Main Street color, and I feel like it's sort of Boulder Leisure Park's suited color (along with white maybe). Now that I've sort of got the hang of using CS and all, I'll probably try to start using different sets in general, in addition to new colors. Â 2. I agree - Hurler is to BLP as Disaster Transport is to CP. Sources tell me it is on the way out... Â 3. Thanks for the compliment, I may or may not build a proper station for El Furioso. It depends on how much I decide like the open-air tent style I've currently got. Maybe for "seasonal" improvements once this 5-year expansion thing is over. We'll see. Â As for your speculation, you'll find out soon!
Ace Of Spades
I actually like the Hurler building...a lot. Strange. Â Anyway, loving the updates as allways, can't' wait to see what's in the park's future (new coaster, perhaps?)
Gmaster562
You should make a big Looping coaster or SOME steel coaster.
gci2011
Ace: Yeah, I understand. Once I got to thinking about it though, I've decided to put that area to better use in a few years. You won't be disappointed once we reach the 80s... Thanks for the compliment! Â Gmaster: Yes, however the first looping coaster didn't open until 1976. After that, you'll start to see more steel. Besides, we've got 3 steel to 2 wood. Â On that note, sneak peek: Â More soon! Â More soon! Â -gci2011

gci2011
June 1, 1974 8th Season  Hello Boulder,  I've been really busy in the office lately, but I do have some photos of our new attractions for you:  This building is a "hospitality center" with restrooms, first aid, and an information desk. This building is a new restaurant. I can't quite remember what they serve - I'll get back to you! Looking down into the new area from the entrance to Rocky Rumbler. The two great woodies of Boulder Leisure Park - El Furioso and Lakeside Dipper. Here's a better view of Lakeside Dipper's layout. Here's Scrambler in its new location. Here's our Lakeside Lemonade stand. Expect to see more of these popping up around the park over the next few years. Guests will also be able to sit down, rest, and watch Lakeside Dipper from this observation area.  One more surprise to come in the next update - stay tuned. But for now, let me know what you think!  Have a great day!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park

gci2011
^Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 1, 1974 8th Season  Hello friends,  Things are great again here in the park. We're hitting our peak attendance season once again, and everybody seems to be having a great time here at Boulder Leisure Park.  I have some new pictures:  Hurler has been closed now all season. Whispers around the office are that it probably won't be here much longer. The first riders of the day climb Lakeside Dipper's lift! Guests love Lakeside Lemonade! Riders are always surprised by the pre-drop. This spot has some great airtime! I'm also pleased to announce Boulder Leisure Pools! Now guests can cool off in the water on hot summer days like these!  Have a great day!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park Edited December 7, 2010 by gci2011

gci2011
August 1, 1974 8th Season  Hello again,  We've got just one more month until kids start heading back to school and we begin to wind down for the season. It's been another great summer!  Come and check out the park while there's still time this year.  Have a great day!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park Which is more fun - Boulder Tower or Bombardiers? I can't even tell you how many times I've ridden Ecstatic Elephants this year - it just never gets old! Welcome back riders! How was your ride? The midways are still packed... Guests are loving our new area!
gci2011
September 1, 1974 8th Season  Hello,  Just one more month, folks! Get out to the park while you still can. We'll be making an announcement about next year at the end of the month.  Guests love being able to watch the Grand Carousel from the midway. Mad Mouse has not been as busy since the openings of Rocky Rumbler and Lakeside Dipper. Wow, that pizza parlor is busy! Lakeside Dipper's station is designed so that people can walk over the track as they exit. Here's a better overview of the new area. The season may be winding down, but it's hard to tell when you see these crowds.  Have a great day!  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
gci2011
September 29, 1974 8th Season  Hello,  It's once again time for the summer season to draw to a close. Boulder Leisure Park has had a great season, and will reopen next year on May 3. We plan to work on seasonal improvements and upgrades over the offseason.  Guests are catching their last rides on El Furioso for the season. I will say, this area looks very different since Scrambler and the Breeze have been moved to other areas of the park. Goodbye, Modern Motorcars! See you next year! Its hard to imagine that these midways will be empty by this time tomorrow.. Bumpers was surprisingly popular this year, it seemed. Guests getting their last slice of Boulder Leisure Park Pizza... Can you imagine how this would look without Hurler? Rocky Rumbler makes one last hop into the station. See you next year!  Until next time,  -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
Ace Of Spades
Nice update! I've gotta say though, as the rest of the park gets better and better, the front part with the log flume and the slide looks worse and worse in comparison. If you're doing "upgrades", that's where I'd recommend you start there. Â Looking forward to season 9!
