deguy123
So I finally made it to Dollywood after wanting to go for so long. I headed there with my boyfriend (Alilstronger) who thank god loves theme parks as much as I do. Plus we both belonged to this site which was pretty funny because I rarely meet anyone who is into it as much as I am. We headed out from Baltimore at around 12am Friday morning and drove straight to TN so we arrived around 8:30ish, then headed right to the park. On a side note, we didn’t realize there was soooooo much to do in Pigeon Forge besides Dollywood. These pictures were taken with my camera phone since I forgot my camera at home! Just a few notes -Tennessee Tornado was a great Arrow Looper IMO -Most of the coaster were closed Friday -Mystery Mine ride was down Friday to Sunday but we got a complimentary ticket for Monday and it finally opened at around 1-ish and it didn’t disappoint! -Thunderhead was GREAT especially in the back.Top 3 wooden coaster for me! -The Cinnamon Bread as SOOOOOO good! -Dollywood Splash Country was better then I expected -Mountain Slidewinder was AWESOME! -The park was BEAUTIFUL -The bumper cars were pointless to me...lol Leaving finally! 12am Some random gas station I think in Virginia! Getting closer! On the tram heading to the park! The sign was exciting! But getting up there and finding out that Thunderhead and Mystery Mine were closed was not a good start Closed all 4 days BEAUTIFUL! YUM! Inline for Thunderhead! AWESOME wooden coaster, we both really loved it! This was pretty fun to do! I loved that they have "different" types of rides! I'm not a "big fan" of spinning rides but I actually liked this one Was looking forward to this also! SO GOOD.....YUM! Haha....note taken Credit or not? lol Theming was great thoughout the park! I let him infront of me so he could have the "pink" one...lol Spinning ride....but it was fun for a bit until I started getting dizzy! Mystery Mine opened finally! Heading to Dollywood Splash Country Rented one of those canopies.... I was excited to go on the Butterfly the most...LMAO These slides expecially the green ones were really fast, the middle one I lifted off at one point Never been on this type of slide before but was great! I admit I was a bit nervous. Heading home An end to an AMAZING vacation! Edited August 23, 2010 by deguy123
jynx242
Thanks for posting these. I feel the same way as you about Dollywood. I knew it was going to be nice, but was completely blown away when I visited. The food was AMAZING (changed the name to Dollyfood) and Thunderhead was just awesome. Glad you had a good time! alilstronger
This trip was sooooo fun sweeite!!!!! My favorite none coaster was Mountain Slidewinder and I was pissed Timber Tower was closed ALL 4 DAYS!!! I have never seen better food at an amusement park and I will admit (a lot of people on here will hate me for this) I did NOT like the cinnamon bread. I am not big on cinnamon. deguy123
We headed to the beach for the day in Rehoboth Delaware and headed over to Funland for some rides. The place can get very packed but for 20 dollar you get 90 tickers which is a deal. The lines aren't too long and move pretty fast. The Haunted Mansion is always great at night! Also don't go to GROTTO'S head over to Nicolas Pizza, it's way better! Rehoboth Beach Devin and Bobby on the FreeFall Ride! The Gravitron is very well kept like all of their rides...I actually got on. Its one of the few spinning rides I love! The rides are really packed in this place! Sea Dragon is the most insane one Ive ever been on! Haunted Mansion! Devin and Bobby! The dont spin anymore! Not sure when they stopped that but a few years ago they were! bigstevet07
Awesome, I haven't seen Rehoboth's Funland in forever. We were there in October, but everything was closed up, couldn't even walk through it. Nicola's is good, but I definitley prefer Grottos. Of course the best food in Rehoboth are the Thrashers Fries.
