greatamerica1990sfan
My home park CGA currently plays the National Anthem on the loudspeakers right at 10:00 when your lined up waiting to go through security. I'm just curious to see what other parks do at opening.
tiger01
Alton Towers Water Park has this whole welcome speech and they play WipeOut as the guests are comming in. Other than that i'm not sure.
Bolliger&Mabillard
^^I think all Cedar Fair parks do that. Back when I worked at Knott's in 2006, we had to hold testing for the national anthem...of course Xcelerator was the only ride still testing as the park opened rather than before... jps294
Fiesta Texas does the national anthem before opening, but I think they still do this but I could be wrong.
The_Mad_Hatter
Universal Studios Hollywood has a few characters come out and pretends that the opening of the park is a scene for an up-coming movie. A "director" comes out to support the scene. Magic Kingdom apparently has some characters come out on the train station and sing and dance. Disneyland has a little spiel that comes up. That's all I know for sure.

Skycoastin Steve
Carowinds plays the original theme song for the park from 1973 at 9:55, then the national anthem immediately after that, then a jazzed up version of the old theme song, and then the newest theme song ("Fun And Only") after that. The Carolina Sky Tower is raised to the top of the tower in timing with the national anthem so that it reaches the top precisely when the anthem ends. This is done because the American flag is on the tower, and it's painted with stars and stripes.

Very cheesy, but kind of neat to keep the tradition going.
Skycoastin Steve
^Yeah, until you hear it every morning and can't get it out of your head!
downunder
Cedar Point stages a fun run every morning in 2 divisions. Division 1 - the Early Entry Classic, is a leisurely balls to the wall sprint to Maverick. An hour later, Divison 2 runs, which is broken up into several different length runs depending on fitness and intelligence levels: Raptor, Millie, Dragster, and Maverick; and ends with confusion ("why is there already a line") for the winner. And they play the National Anthem too.

Michigan's Adventure does not play the National Anthem when they open. However, I have noticed that they have added "The Stars and Stripes Forever" to their front of the park CD. Brad
^Yeah, until you hear it every morning and can't get it out of your head! I can DEFINITELY see the song getting old (I've only been to Carowinds once).
