tristtkd
Is it just me, or does A$$ Blaster sound like a very poainful variety of waterslide?
Blind Idiot God
I feel sorry for the coaster trains that have to cart those beached whales - I mean ACE members. Also, when I saw A$$ Blaster, I instantly thought of this:

dandaman
^ I haven't ridden it myself, but from preliminary reports, you see God.
mightbeawannabe
^^I would say so. It almost has to be to be a 'Best of 2009.' I've only ridden three GCIs so don't go entirely by me. I'm sure some of the love it's getting in the TR is overdone because of the initial responses from the poll...for the fanboys.
coasterferg
Prowler is very good and has great airtime and laterals. It's a ride that doesn't let up the whole way. The last drop before you curve into the breaks might be the best airtime hill on the whole ride. I'm also glad to see you guys got to ride it at night. The ride goes out into the backwood trees of the park's land and at night it's pretty much pitch black after the lifthill and first drop. Chris Benvenuto
OMG Becky look at his salad, it IS SOOO Big! He looks like one of those Veggie girls boyfriend, his salad's so large and out there. It's gross! Look! It's just...so...WACK! MY GOD, that salad was huge.
Erik Johnson
Silver Dollar City Our Branson hotel put us up on the Marquee...somehow "Theme Park Review" translated into "Roller Coaster Tour Company"...but hey, I'll take it! TPR arrives at Silver Dollar City...one of the best theme parks in the United States! Silver Dollar City is celebrating their 50 year anniversary. Good for them! Here's to another 50 years! Silver Dollar City is a park set in the 1800's...it's sort of like would Knott's Berry Farm would be if Cedar Fair hadn't screwed it up. Fire in the Hole...this is the only photo I have of the ride because it's an indoor coaster/dark ride...and it's one of those "old school" rides that is an absolute MUST SEE when you visit the park. This might be my favorite kiddie coaster name ever! Of course if there is a kiddie coaster...TPR will ride it! Hooray! KidTums gets TWO coaster credits today! Ooooh! Culinary school! I want to go! Wait...they have classes for pot heads??? Even the smoking areas are themed! In most parks they make you keep your knives and guns in the car. At Silver Dollar City...you can BUY them in the park! Now for the park's very compact, but very awesome B&M... WildFire! See 'ya later TPR members! Mmm...B&M Goodness! Wildfire packs a LOT into small space! And all the awesome curvy sections are great, too! Kevin got a little bit more of a thrill on Wildfire...he got stung by a bee! While ON the ride!!! What is it with TPR members getting stung by bees on B&Ms??? "Don't worry Kevin, we only have to remove two-thirds of your arm..." This is Lou killing Dan with a plate full of grease and sugar! Go froggies! Go!!! Silver Dollar City put together a special "TPR Version" of their Trailblazer Pass for us today. Thank you Martha! The Giant Swing was just as awesome as the other S&S swings. A full car of TPR members! SWING TPR!!! SWING!!!! Can you tell this was a "Hanno photo?" "Raise your hands...if you're SURE!" Thunderation is an Arrow mine train with a little "surprise" that makes it one of the best mine trains. NOTED!!! Oh, we'll tell you that half of the train goes backwards...sure...but that's not the "surprise!" Silver Dollar City is famous for their "Skillets" Just look at that! A trough of food!!! Mmmm...dried pig skin! YUMMY!!!! The candy store is amazing! Robb ate the entire plate of strawberries. This picture alone will kill Dan. I hear they make a crap load of funnel cakes every year! If you want fresh potato chips...here ya go! SDC has easily the best looking Splash Battle ride in the world! "Ostrich Jerky???" And if all that food isn't enough for you...go join the "no hands" cake eating contest!!! Powder Keg...yup... We wish to be blasted! We will be going that way! Any coaster that includes an explosion of fire as it's theming is automatically awesome! OMG! NOTED!!! Silver Dollar City put together a backstage photo tour of Powder Keg for the TPR moderators. We present to you the Middle America contingent of the 2010 TPR Moderating Team! It's got amazing airtime, the launch is great...but not too intense for more intimidated riders. "I never want to leave!!!" I would love to see more parks order an S&S launched coaster like Powder Keg. It really is the "perfect" ride. Does anyone know why they needed to design these very odd-looking A frame supports? (Joe - you're not allowed to answer) If a coaster like Thirteen had a coaster section like Powder Keg, it would have made it one of the best rides in the world. Lots of awesome photo angles not normally allowed by the public. Powder Keg is a seriously awesome coaster. It's probably my favorite S&S coaster ever made! Some interesting supports that even go underground to help support the footers. While I would consider Powder Keg a ride "for the entire family", it's more than just a "family coaster." The theming on Powder Keg is really awesome! Yep...We're not going to lie to you, Lou loves getting her bottom vibrated. TPDave would like to use these spoons for a purpose that we could get in trouble for if we posted it to TPR. Random Water Balloon Toss! The "Marvel Cave Tour" is one of the amazing and unique attractions that Silver Dollar City is famous for. It starts with a door made just for KidTums! But Jon's ass looks pretty hot going through it too! I really like small, tight passages! NOTED!!!! The Cave Tour is going to challenge our physical ability! It starts with something like 400 stairs that seem like they go straight down! "How are you guys doing so far?" Bats? Salamanders??? AWESOME!!! OMG! It's Prowler! The light! I can see the light!!! Deep down we go into the cave of stairs. TPDave feels very holy...for a moment. This is just so cool. I mean, some theme parks have "cave trains" into a fake cave... ...Silver Dollar City gives you the REAL DEAL!!! Yup, we started WAY up there! If you're into rocks and stuff...you HAVE to do this! All of a sudden...things just got a little more claustrophobic! TPR loves deep, dark, dank, wet caves! Very pretty! "It's beautiful!!!" "Don't look at it Marion!!!" This waterfall is naturally pink. The Cave Tour is really just a very elaborate themed queue for... ...THE TRAIN RIDE!!! (Where we have to get VERY close!) "Everybody clench and squish!!!" Some of you are going to get to know each other a little bit better after this ride! Our "Cave Tour Group Photo!" Yes, we all survived! NO! HANNO!!! DO NOT LOOK IN THAT HOLE!!!! There's a creepy old man in there. TPR's favorite pastime...FOOD! "Thank you Silver Dollar City!" Silver Dollar City is so awesome! Really, it is one of the best parks in the US. You need to go here!!! "Please keep moving...there is nothing to see here!" Edited August 9, 2010 by Erik Johnson

larrygator
R&E planned the trip perfectly by hitting SDC on a Sunday instead the day prior. It was a mad house at the park on Saturday.
CoasterWarriors
Awesome coverage on Silver Dollar City! Only 4 days and 8 hours before TPR hit SFGAm! Can't wait to see the TPR celebrities and fans and of course... how can we forget about the whores especially the coaster whores... others are welcome too
deathbydinn
^ You've only said that about a thousand times now. SDC really does look amazing. I think it just needs a woodie to be complete. Not that it's current state is awesome though. It's the little details that really make it stand out to me. Can't wait for the next update! CoasterWarriors
^ Can't help it. Been away from theme parks, roller coasters, and fun far too long due to grad school and freelancing. Last time was Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2009. That how long ago since I visited theme parks & roller coasters. I did one Junior coaster at That Fun Place (FEC style) with a friend so he can gain his remaining coaster credits in Indiana.
fatdaddy
Best update yet. That cave tour alone makes that park awesome, was that a planned part of the trip, or did a group of you just happen to show up at the same time? CoasterWarriors
OMG! You found the Bat Cave! I almost forgot that Ice Bat was on this trip. I'm sure s/he either made establish friendships via BatBook or MyBat and finally meet each other or Ice Bat despite the cave bat for living in the ghetto since s/he live with a much cooler roommate who is crazy about sharks. robbalvey
I think it just needs a woodie to be complete. I've heard this so often and don't understand it. Why does a park need to have a woodie to be "complete?" Some of the best parks in the world don't have wooden coasters: Europa Park, Silver Dollar City, Alton Towers, Epcot, etc... Sure it would be a great addition, but I don't think it's mandatory for a park to have a woodie.
robbalvey
Best update yet. That cave tour alone makes that park awesome, was that a planned part of the trip, or did a group of you just happen to show up at the same time? It wasn't planned, but our last Trailblazer Pass Attraction ended at the same time so I think most people just migrated over to the cave together since it does take up about 90 minutes of your day. (worth every minute!)
