Six Flags Enthuseast
I took yet another visit to Wild Waves, this time with more than 30 minutes to do things. I took more photos this time, and I even took 4 POVs! Since I had trouble trying to upload them to TPR as a file, I'll just post the YouTube video links. Please note: I took these POVs with the permission of Wild Waves Theme Park ride operators, and I took full responsibility for my actions. NEVER take a POV on a ride without park permission, and make sure you are able to hold your camera in a way that is comfortable but firm, so you won't let go of it during the ride. Know the forces on the ride you are riding and ensure that they are not enough to knock the camera out of your hands. "On the road again...." I hate tolls! Old bridge, new bridge! Artsy artsy artsy! The same sign as the last TR I took, this time in SUNSHINE! We quickly reserve a spot by the wave pool.... We were some of the 1st people into the park, so we still got to see some of the invisible people as they were making their way out of the park. Employees were still walking around. The games were quite popular with the invisible people. PARC represent! I-5 Dive Skycoaster. Has Steve been on this one yet? Hey Larry! Here's an index shot for 'ya! Classico Arrow Looping Shot. Sadly, not open yet. =( We're the 1st riders of the day on Disk'O Flashback! "You're my 1st riders. Don't you feel special? Hello, and welcome to the Disk'O. You must be 48 inches or taller in order to ride this ride. Please no gum chewing or spitting while on this ride. Take note that Wild Waves Theme Park is not responsible for any loose articles brought on the ride. You may set any loose articles on the exit deck. Thank you for listening and enjoy your ride on the Disk'O!" It was pretty rough because of the lack of riders. When we were done with Disk'O Flashback, Wild Thing opened. Lift hill shot! Button shot. Did you know that this coaster was once completely white and was one of the star attractions of a traditional Rhode Island theme park? Hey Larry! Another sign shot! Hang Glider is a 2002 Zamperla Gliders ride. One of many 2002 Zamperla rides at this park. Falling Star. I learned that its vehicle is hiding to the right of Lumber Jack Falls's lift hill. I think it's being painted. Another shot for Team Staten Island. A few people finally made it into the park. Guess what? Another sign shot! This is one old carousel! The Paratrooper; an older ride. I almost wish this was like the one at Silverwood and most fairs, where you can ride more than once. Larry should be drooling himself to death, by now. Timberhawk: Ride of Prey. Also not open yet. Darn you, All Theme Park Rides Open At 11:00 Policy! See what I mean? Falling Star, only wagon themed and mini. The Gambler.... ...no suprise here. We wanted to ride the slide down. But it wasn't open all day. Fright Fest. The only time when I'll ride I-5 Dive, becuase it's only $10 per rider on the very last day of the year! KidTums credit. 2 Larry Credits in one picture! LJF sign. Ready for some broken ribs, anybody? Whoever is in the right seats right now, your ribs are about to be broken. But not as badly as the people in the left seats! 3. 2. 1. OH MY GOD! MY FREAKING RIBS! It suddenly quit working. RIGHT as we were about to get on it! So we've broken 1 ride today, I suppose we can't break any more, right? Timberaxe's sign seems... abit lopsided today... Broken. I didn't break it... this time... Sit in the middle, and you will get wet! The ride-ops let us on. When we got off, they said that they shouldn't have let us on because it wasn't 11:00 yet. So they told anybody waiting in line that the ride 'had technical problems'. So, 'technically', this is the 2nd ride I broke today. Zamperla is doing REALLY well right now! If I wouldn't have broken the ride, you'd be seeing a big SKLOOOSSSHHHH!!! right now. KGR opened again... So we rode again. These poor people don't know what they're in for! The last turn. The worst turn. Let's try Timberaxe again. It's themed to an axe. Rawr! I'm a bear! Give me some candy! This ride has a lowering platform just like Hammerhead Shark. However, the platform is not grated, so little pine needles can't fall through it. The restraints wouldn't lock properly. Broken Zamperla ride #3. Next, with a random kid I talked with while on Timberaxe, I rode Ring of Fire. I shouldn't have. UPSIDE DOWN! On our way to get lunch, we notice how busy the waterpark is. Unlike the stamps at Williams Grove, these take 3 seconds to come off! I'll post more later. Thanks for reading! Six Flags Enthuseast
Ok, here's Part 2. We head to Costco Federal Way for some lunch. The signs in the food court here seem a little different... We return to the park, do some water rides, and notice this really big seagull flying against the wind. Close up of that big seagull. Expect to see plenty of these when you're at Wild Waves! The line for Deck: The Ride looked pretty short... ...so I got a credit! Demolish D:TR....... flatten these hills.... Put a Double Shot and a Screamin' Swing, and I'll be drooling! Heading up toward Timberhawk. NOTED! Pirate. The only Huss ride in the park, I think. T:RoP sign. One of the better ones. This is a pretty fast lift hill! Not exactly El Toro, but not exactly The Ultimate either. Thankfully, the were operating 2 trains. Wait for it.... ZOOM FAIL! As you can see, some of the lowest parts of the track get VERY close to each other. This track makes many rings. Wagon Train. This time, in operation. The Dry Slide. Still NOT operating. Theming? Maybe, I dunno. KGR's line got long, so not 2nd ride. Timberaxe sign. Still crooked, but at least the ride is open now! The restraints on here are WAAAYYY more comfortable than the ones on Hammerhead Shark, because they aren't automatic and they don't have pokey bits near the chest and shoulders. There's also a bit more theming on this than there is on HS. Only the really cool kids are allowed to ride Frog Hopper. Sadly, I am not a cool kid. =( Kanga-Bounce. Looks tame, but there's that one bounce that's pretty airtime filled. 4 seats were closed. So the wait was 2 rides for a relatively short line. This is what it looks like when you're looking straight ahead. This is what it looks like when you look straight up! (sky may vary) Paratrooper sign credit! Hey....uggghhh...coughcough....Larry.... ZOOM! Paratrooper. A fun yet relaxing ride. The sign is cool, but the warnings list is not. We ride thrice more. The fast lift hill. Step on this pedal to release restraints. We decide to get one more ride on Disk'O Flashback. I guess SOME fences were repainted. Not this one. =( Half-pipe! They call it Disk'O because it's a disc that's shaped like an O, and its spinning makes it feel like you're dancing! CONTROL PANEL NERD SHOT! Floating half-pipe! Hang Glider was popular around now, as you can see. This is my current desktop display background! Wish it still had the fence... Somewhat pretty, IMO. Enjoying the sun... while I still can... I see you, LJF boat! After our dinner at Hooters, we noticed this amazing sight! Mount Raineer and the moon! After that, we went to Krispy Kreme. We can't decide what to get! I always get a Chocolate Iced donut.... ...along with some 2% Milk! Thanks for reading!
Pingu1651
Nice TR and POVs! I liked the Wild Thing POV a lot. Now I really want some milk though. That Raineer picture was quite pretty, especially with the random truck in front.
Six Flags Enthuseast
^Thanks! I'm one of those people that always has to have milk with anything sweet. I couldn't get a better angle of the picture. I hate it when things block the nice pictures!
