Pingu1651
You're mistaken my friend, TPR knows AND loves Heide Park. Anyways, nice pictures. The ones of Big Loop and the ones from the observation tower were great! I look forward to more TRs from you! By the way, don't say you like Vekoma. Everyone here hates Vekoma! Tezee
Ok thanks. In my view Vekoma isn´t so bad. I haven´t drive many Vekomas but Big Loop with the new trains are OK. But I think when you drive Colorado Adventure in Phantasialand you will love Vekoma . I hope the TR was nice to read. The SLC Limit Grill -> SLC BBC SLC BBC -> Limit Grill OMG Scream is so excessive! And the best is: only 10 min wait time! again The next stop was Scream Pizza. I have eaten 1/8 Pizza and Pepsi for 5€. Bobbahn It was very funny matches The next Stop was Huss-Land aka Ex-Green-White-Land. But since last year there is Maya-theming And they have remove some Huss-Flatrides (Condor and Rainbow) to build a Wave Swinger and a Round Up. God old Germany The coaster was so boring. nice Yes there is a Photo-Station! Even at the Indy-Blitz was a Photo-Station. Raftin was a very good ideal on this hot day. 37°C Next stop -> Monorail Cool! I think I´m in the USA. Over the "Grottenblitz" Desert Race Up and Down. Out and Back. Queue time: 75 min! What? Should I wait so long for a coaster? No! Maya-Tal No comment. Big Loop - Big supports It is very crazy. First drop -> 40 meter driving around -> Loop No. It isn´t a postcard O no! The boat will hit the monorail. Time for Wildwasserbahn I Splash Limit. It is ok when you put you head on the left. The last ride! Wildwasserbahn II. We where in the park since 10 am. At this moment it was 6 pm. Time to say good by and go at home 3 hours by bus. I´ve you think I wasn´t on Colossos you are wrong. I´ve bought me an express-pass for 9€. So i was Colossos 2 times without waiting and 1 time Desert Race without waiting.
coaster1000
Nice with an update from a great park. I agree that many Vekomas are underrated. I hated Big Loop last time i visited, but I nearly enjoyed Limit! I really don't see why SLC's are bashed that much, they have awesome layouts and great pacing - I guess it's the roughness and the fact they're cloned that make coaster enthusiasts hate them. Colossos is one of my favorites - the back seats are heavenly, but unfortunately the ride has gotten a bit rougher over the last few years. Tezee
I think it is normal that Colossos get a bit rough. But in my view it was smooth enough. Did you have ride Big Loop with the old Arrow trains or with the new train? I think with the new train is the ride much better.

Yeah, while there's some roughness in the bottom of the drops Colossos is still very smooth for a 75 mph woodie! I've ridden Big Loop with both trains... Honestly, the new trains don't do that much of a difference to me, I still find that the ride is pretty uncomfortable.
larrygator
I really enjoyed my visit to Heide Park, especially Huss Land, sad to hear the Condor has been removed.
darkon
They worked on Collosus for this season and it´s a little less rough than it used to be. It still rocks and is my favourite coaster at HeidePark, the second would be the amazing Bobsled.
bgwfreak777
Another thing you won't see in the US. We must have gates for everything.
willh51
Heide Park looks great. Does Colossus have the kind of ejector air that Balder and El Toro have? I completely forgot Desert Race was at that park. For some reason I thought it was in Spain, but I guess that's Baco.

Hockeydad
When it comes to Vekomas, (esp. SLC's) I really think it varys from person to person, and coaster to coaster. Some of my earlier experiences with them was that I loved Serial Thriller at Geauga Lake, (now Thunderhawk @ MiA). But on the opposite end was T2 at SFKK...that thing has totally sucked no matter how many times I've rode it over the years! Then from park to park, I would say that X-Flight was terrible when it sat at Geauga Lake, but I ride it regularly to this day as Firehawk @ King's Island. It's rides much smoother, and doesn't bang the crap out of me on the twists near the end. I don't know, can the construction make a difference? Was it new trains or wheels? I don't know...
