After a season of major expansion, the two parks got some small additions for the new year and took a break from large rides.

HOLIDAY THRILLS:

The area where Bon Voyage's queue used to be was replaced with a nice sitting plaza, with shops and a dessert shop.

The entry plaza has new buildings added: a desert and snack shop, and an arcade.

Would like to see some base blocks put in under those sky-way supports to get them out of the water.

Going to miss that big pile of wood. It was my favorite ride in the park.

Right! I totally forgot about that, oops

Yes, it will be missed, but it gives us huge land to expand to.

Myrtle Magic:

BANKRUPTCY!

The title got you there, didn't it? No, Myrtle Magic is not bankrupt. It's far from it. It's neighbor in entertainment, On-Par Golf and Country Club, is rumored to be filing for bankruptcy in the coming weeks due to it's low attendance. Of course it wasn't the most beloved in Myrtle, it still had a place in many's hearts. But, HTEC hasn't waited to jump on this opportunity: the country club and golf course took up a lot of land, land that could be potentially Myrtle Magic's for expansion. So, look for a large update in the coming days- one that will change Myrtle Magic's fate forever.

Holiday Thrills:

An announcement for the new ride next season will be made shortly. What do you think it will be? Roller coaster? Thrill ride? Gentle ride?

New Additions:

MYRTLE MAGIC:

Myrtle Magic again took it easy this year, with the addition of bumper carts. My guess is that they're too preoccupied with trying to get the land previously owned by the country club.

Nice flowers were added around it.

HOLIDAY THRILLS:

Ready. Set. Fly. You are like the earthworms....the eagle is the PREDATOR. Launch up to 72 mph and rocket 210 feet in the air (with an amazing view, too!) only to fall back and do it again. With this new inverted impulse coaster, Holiday Thrills now has 3 roller coasters over 200ft- just 1 short of the record held by Cedar Point.

Just enter through the interstate entrance and take a sharp left- you'll find yourself nearing the Predator.

SCR558.BMP

What's great about this coaster is that it's a thrilling addition to the park's now 11 roller coasters, while only taking up a limited amount of space.

SCR560.BMP

Your getting close to the plaza. (Sorry about the sign, I need to update it!)

SCR561.BMP

Queue.

SCR562.BMP

Airtime- with a view! This baby packs an estimated 22 seconds of airtime!

Little space with BIG thrills- we're sure you'll love Predator as the newest addition to the Holiday Thrills family.

^ You can hit control S and take a screen-shot. The shot can then be found in your RCT2 folder in your Documents. For future reference, please post any questions you have in the Help Thread. Good job with the park, braztaz. I suggest to build your buildings in varying footprints, though. It's not good to have a bunch of 3x4 or 2x3 buildings in a row. Keep up the good work.

I think the one thing about the impulse I don't like is the single support on the very end of the track. I don't know, something about it doesn't look right..

Otherwise, awesome work!

I know, that urks me as well. But I know without it, it wouldn't be realistic. But with it, it wouldn't be too realistic. I don't know what to do!

But thank you, and thanks everyone for the guesses...the answer is coming soon!

HOLIDAY THRILLS:

This years addition was "Micro Men", a very fun dark ride that seems like it shrinks you down to microscopic size, then zooms you around the city!

MYRTLE MAGIC:

Pack your bags, coaster enthusiasts, for "Coaster Camp" is making it's way into Myrtle Magic this summer! For one week you will spend learning bout HTEC's coasters, the facts, build models, and get to help in the construction of MM's newest section, "World of the Dream"!

SCR571.BMP

Speaking of the new section...have we got a surprise for you! Based on Christopher Nolan's new movie "Inception", "World of the Dream" smashes it's way into Myrtle Magic with two new roller coasters and two new flats!

SCR572.BMP

Wow!

SCR574.BMP

SCR576.BMP

So much force!

SCR579.BMP

Like the movie, you have to navigate through the maze of a dream!

And a new mini coaster.... "Projectile"!

Sorry that was so rushed. I was required in the glorious field of dentistry.

Here's some more pics. (The area, as you enter, is supposed to be a "dream"... the city. If you haven't seen the movie "Inception" yet, I encourage you to do so.)
