Pingu1651
^ Exactly. The one he has is more of a Schwarzkopf. I don't care either way since it's RCT, but something like Sidewinder or Lightning Loops would be more realistic.
Mastersax68
Good job with the park so far, however I feel some improvements could be made. Don't listen if you don't want to, after all it is your park. Keep up the good work, and here's what I would do: Â 1. Delete the trees from underneath of Whitlock Whizzer's station. It makes the station seem un-realistic. Â 2. Try to make your roofs more interesting by breaking it up with different angles, such as: X3 Building Highlight.bmp The change in angle helps the building look interesting, in my opinion. GaryGB
You guys are correct about the Shuttle Loop, I'm still learning when it comes to coaster types/makers, but I'm getting there. (Mainly from my local area park, Six Flags Great America) I mistakenly thought Tidal Wave (now Greezed Lightnin') was an Arrow, when infact it was a Schwarzkopf. Â I'll make the changes needs to make it more true to actuality. Â As for your advice, Mastersax, thank you, you will see some work done on my pre-existing roofs/new roofs in future updates, I do agree, my roofs do seem quite boring. Â Thank you for all the help everyone, without it I wouldn't be able to learn and grow as a player/coaster lover.
GaryGB
Update #9: Introducing.. October 3rd, 1976 Â Hello loyal readers, it's great to see you all again! Nothing but good news in the update! Attendance has spiked in recent weeks with crowds over 2,000 every day! Quite the relief, it took some time but it looks like Whitlock Gardens is really starting to take off. Â On the the biggest, and best news! The construction on our newest roller coaster has finished, along with the surrounding area. We constructed a grill near by serving all you grilled favorites, from hamburgers and hotdogs, to fall off the bone pork ribs. So next time you're in the area of our newest rollercoaster, be sure to stop in and enjoy some of our grilled classics. Â And now the big moment: an Anton Schwarzkopf shuttle loop rollercoaster, hitting speeds of over 56 mile per hour, and reaching over 105 feet into the sky, Whitlock Gardens is proud to introduce... Â A thrill for any seasoned rollercoaster rider! Â On to some pictures, I took some more of construction around Blackout's surrounding, and some photos of the construction on "Blackout Grill", I hope you all enjoy. Â The ground work for the grill has been laid, some flowers and fountains have been added just outside of Blackout's queue, some work on Blackout's station was done as well. Â Construction has started on the grill, benches and litter bins have been added to the walk ways. Â Construction progress. Â The grill is completed, I can already smell those delicious ribs! Â Finally an overview of Whitlock Gardens! Â That's all I have for you in this update, wow it is hard to believe the season is coming to a close, just under a month left in our first year of service to the Northern Arkansas region. I'll be sure to be back and update you all before the season ends, until then, I bid you all happy riding! Â -James Francis Whitlock

djbrcace1234
There is something about that Grill building I just love. So simple, yet elegant in it's own way. The shuttle is a nice addition, and I'm eager to see what is in store next!

CoasterCreator9
I like Blackout's building and how it extends to the loop. The grill is also wonderful.
Mastersax68
I really like your buildings this time around. Good job.
dmaxsba2408
I can only see one thing I would change and that would be the building covering the track all the way to the loop. I think it needs to be backed off about 3 more track sections before the loop. I do like it, it's just a little long.
GaryGB
--Thank you all for the comments/suggestions. I read over them all and it's great to know I have you all following Whilock Gardens faithfully! Â Update #10: End of year one November 1st, 1976 Â Wow, I cannot believe our first year is in the books! Quite an amazing year it has been. October saw record breaking crowds through out, "Blackout" was an instant success, the vertical loop seems to be the future of roller coasters. I would like to thank all of you who made i out the Whitlock Gardens for our first season, this amusement park would not be possible with the support of you all! I have a few announces for you all, the last of which coming at the end of my post, so let's get right to it. Â First, during the off-season Whitlock Gardens will be working on 4 projects. 3 of which should be ready for opening day 1977. As to what they are, that will be a highly guarded secret until next season! The fourth project the park will be undertaking is the largest, and most innovative the park will see. I don't want to give out too many details, but expect big changes to the park. The project is slated to take just over a year and a half to complete, so that means you will all have to wait until 1978 to see the finished product. But that doesn't mean I wont tease you all until then! Â Here are some photos I snapped just so you all can have idea what is going on at Whitlock Gardens during the off-season. Â Hmm, I wonder what could be going here.. Located between Whitlock Gardens Carousel, and Whizzer Snacks. Â The pathway has been expanded leading past Whizzer Snacks now, to what I wonder.. Â Seems as if a bridge is being built to Lookout Island.. Â And ground has been broken on the Island! What could possibly be put here? Â And the biggest project of them all... Â Finally an overview for those who wish to see the parks progress. Â On to my last announcement, advisers close to me suggested that I create a board of directors, now instead of creating a board of fancy suit businessmen, I asked myself: "What would make a better board of directors then a group of 5 people who love Whitlock Gardens as much as I do?" So I would like to announce the Whitlock Garden board of directors open call. The first 5 people to express interest in the board will be added. What does this mean? As a member of the board, you will have control over what is next in the park, through annual meetings, the group of 6 (5 of you, and me) will hold votes on which direction to take the park next. This is a truly unique experience. Â How it works: I will present the board with a few options on opportunities presented to Whitlock Gardens yearly, each board member will decide which option they like best, and the board will hold a vote. A majority will win the vote, and the idea will be put into action at Whitlock Gardens. Â So act quit, this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity! Please send a letter of intent (private message) to myself as soon as possible! Â -James Francis Whitlock
braztaz
If we were just 15 years ahead, that would be PERFECT for an Arrow Hypercoaster. But a little too early for that  Nothing much to say except congrats on the first year, and I'm looking forward to the next update, because I can't tell if it's a roller coaster, or a new section. Or both.  I could be part of the board of directors, but that may take away from the "surprise, wow!" factor I get from this park.
djbrcace1234
It's all looking nice, but I think this park is due for another small family coaster I think. Â Keep it up!

GaryGB
--Sorry for the delay on this update, it was my birthday weekend so I had a few family members stop by for longer than I had expected, but here we are so enjoy the latest update! Â Update #11: Season 2 May 20th, 1977 Â Wow has it ever been a busy off season? It seemed like there wasn't a day when construction was going on inside the park. We have added three new attractions to the park, each sure to appeal to any fun seeker. The first attraction completed during the off-season is a world record holder, "Super Dodgems", a Dodgem flat ride made by SOLI of Italy, is the worlds' largest dodgems. With a floor of 6,845 square feet, and capabilities to hold over 40 drivers at once, mayhem is surely to ensue once the ride begins. "Super Dodgems" is located between "Whitlock Gardens Carousel", and "Whizzer Snacks". Â The next two rides are located on Lookout Island. "Lookout Tower" located in the middle of Lookout Island is an Intamin AG gyro tower design. The tower is the tallest structure standing in Whitlock Gardens, at over 225 feet! The tower is sure to offer breath-taking views of Whitlock Gardens, and it's surrounding area. It offers quite a thrill, and is a perfect place to escape to on those hot summer days. With an air conditioned cabin, why not take a second ride to the top? Â The last of our additions was the biggest, but perhaps the most cost effective. Taking advantage of the deal offered by the Arkansas Basin Lumber Co. for free lumber, Whitlock Gardens is proud to present it's first Wooden Rollercoaster: "Manic Mouse". This Wild Mouse design, designed by the Allen Herschell Company is a ride to be reckoned with! Offering hairpin turns and steep and sudden drops, "Manic Mouse" offers quite an amazing ride! The surrounding area is finely themed, and numerous pine trees give the ride a sensation of flying through the tree tops. The "Manic Mouse" makes Lookout Island a place for everyone in the park to visit! Â I have snapped some photos, so I hope you all enjoy. Â "Super Dodgems", the worlds largest Dodgems! Â The exit of "Super Dodgems". Lovely gardens in my opinion. Â "Lookout Tower", offering an amazing 360 degree view of Northern Arkansas! Â "Manic Mouse", a wooden wild mouse, is my personal favorite, it gives a great feeling of being totally out of control! Â The ride has 8 cars, each mouse themed car has room for 2 adult passengers, don't be fooled by it's top speed (34MPH), and highest drop (22 feet), this ride is one of the more intense I have ever been on! Â Coming soon: "The Miner's Lodge" Whitlock Gardens' first buffet, for those visiting the unique Lookout Island! Word is, an alcohol license has been obtained for the restaurant.. Â Unfortunately, little progress has been made on Whitlock Gardens' largest project to date. Â Opening day 1977 saw record breaking crowds! Â An overview of Northern Arkansas' favorite destination! Â That's all for now friends, I'll be sure to update you all on "The Miner's Lodge" construction in my next update, and hopefully some construction photos on our super sized project. Â Happy ridings! See you all at the park! -James Francis Whitlock

Great update, I really like the Super-Dodgem and the mine coaster, as well. I hope the park's largest project to date is a Dinn&Summers Woody!
