coasterbill 296
That looks amazing, though I'm skeptical they'll keep producing fog at that level a year or two into this ride's existence.
DoinItForTheFame 3
Whoa!!! That looks amazing!!! Sadly, I too am skeptical at how long they will keep up those amazing effects.
coneyislandchris 43
Even my wife, who has been known to be less than impressed when I send her photos of coasters, says "Wow! That looks incredible!". Now just to convince her to hop the pond.

Alice Kane 1
Christopher Lee would be so proud! This coaster should appeal to pagans and non-pagans, alike! Alice
Robert.W 0
I just want to point out that these images are for promotional purposes. Many of the effects used in these pictures won't actually be in use when the coaster opens to the public. As the park is only open during the day, bar a few weeks at the end of October, the lighting and fog effects wouldn't nearly be as effective as they are in the pictures released today. Having said that, the coasters theming sure does look absolutely fantastic, even without the extra lighting and smoke effects!
KarlaKoaster 11
Shame the park is rarely open into dusk, but fingers crossed it looks nice during daytime hours too.
cookiex 0
I feel this is an example that Merlin can be really good with theming when they put money and effort to it. Even if it seems limited to the wicker man structure it alone looks amazing.

Robert.W 0
Wicker Man is NOT based off of the films of the same name!! It is based on the same myths and legends that inspired the films.

Baffles 1
It is an odd theme really - there could have been plenty of names for the ride in keeping with the story they wanted that are not associated with the corny movie of the same name. One of the first things the UK press did was associate it with the movie. For the park marketing department to then have to correct them, I am not sure why they didn't come up with an original name in the first place. Still, can't wait to ride. No need to shout, young man. What makes you think I'm shouting? My text was in large and bold. It just makes it a bit easier to see and emphasises my point. I do apologise if it came off that way. But yeah, I agree with what Baffles is saying on the name. The park brought all this confusion on themselves in naming it what they did. Nevertheless, I'm sure in time we'll get used to it. It's quite clever really when you think about it. Because a lot of people are aware of the movies they are just going to assume it is based on them. So they basically have all the benefits of an IP, without actually having to pay for one.
