We enterd via the Wheelchair access for the left hand side station, viewed here.

The entrance to Air's area gives a great view, namely of the Air shop and of cute cuddly toys.............why they would have them out i don''t know.

Alton Towers is for me one of the best parks in Europa, nice coaster and verry well themed! I love it.

Too bad it's almost 9 hours driving from here.

That photo of Nemesis from Air's lift-hill is brilliant, just take a look at the attention to detail on the roof of Nemesis' station, amazing, all that detail for a bit that you never get to see! The whole alien looks awsome aswell!!!

I don't know about you guys, But I am Insanely physced about this ride!

Its just what Alton towers needs, So what do you guys think about It?

All I know about it is it's costing roughly £8million (same price as Rita), it's ment to have some amazing special affects, and the big feature is the glass elevator, where it's ment to seem like your actually going out of the factory roof!

I would almost rather my local park get CatCF than a coaster. If done right it sounds like it could be great.

Hello all!

 

I went to AT again at the weekend and i having seen the supposedly initial plans for the rejected woodie which starts in Ug Land dropping 200' into the gardens and switching back by air and back to Ug Land again, i was very surprised to see a huge line of trees from the ug swingers heading into the gardens have been chopped down.

 

I think this is very bizarre to do this just as the season starts, but the cleared space is wide enough to fit about 2 wooden tracks?

 

Does anyone know any more on this?

I thought they weren't aloud to go above the Tree Line.

You are right in they build above the trees - but the lift hill was going to be about 70' ish and then the first drop would go into the gardens which is well below the trees, about 150' below, hence the 200 foot drop.

You beat me to it! They have some great retro videos on there too from the old days,

 

That "wood" be some ride if it goes ahead, I think its time for the corkscrew to go though and they can put the station of the woodie in its place, it seems so rough now compared to all the new coasters, its 26 years old this year i think, older tham me!

The plans have been shelved. There was too much opposition from many groups. And the park have some major problems atm;

It might happen eventually. But it's a huge long shot.

The proposal looks awesome, and hopefully the park does eventually get approval to build this. Mr and Mrs Roper can only live for so long. Too bad Jack Tripper died, otherwise he could drive them to move away and landlord elsewhere.
