I'm super curious which ride is moving. So many rides there could make a good fit!

looking at the pics in that blog post, it sure does seem to be the Eagle Flyers from the 4th of July section. I wonder if they'll reclaim that space for something other than a ride or replace it with a new flat ride possibly?

I think it is Sparkler, the one pic in the blog, looks like the base foundation when they where building it. Don't know what they would retheme it to, but there are numerous themes to choose from.

Holiday World is getting better and better! Ride relocation to the Thunderbird plaza! News about the trains! Some new "near misses" on Thunderbird! Even though I've never been to this park before it's going to turn the theme park industry upside down. That's why I'm glad this will be my first visit come opening weekend in April 2015!

Yes indeed, it does look exactly like Sparkler. We should get great views of Thunderbird while riding.

When will we find out all of the near misses for Thunderbird? I know too many questions, sorry!

Well if it is Sparkler then I wonder what will go in its old spot. Doesn't seem very Holiday World-ish to leave a concrete pad very visible to the public empty. New restaurant, maybe?

I think they will dress up/ hide the area/concrete pad for the upcoming season and then a new ride will be announced for the following season.

Also, I'm not convinced it's the sparkler. It would be a cool ride to have right there, but wouldn't they also have to change the light package somewhat to match the new theme?

I doubt the light package would need changing (and even if they did, It shouldn't cost the park an arm and a leg to reprogram it). I think the issues would be the color scheme and the decals on the banners between the arms, though.

The red stump that's at the new location looks very similar to Sparkler's current base. I figured it would be either Sparkler, or the Flying Scooters.

That red stump really does look like the Sparklers, and I didn't even think about the banners. I do think the sparkler would be a good choice though. It would look awesome there, and the views would be incredible.

Sorta off topic, has anyone rode the sparkler here? I never have. Always looked like something that might make me dizzy. Is it a pretty fun ride?

For 2015, we'll add seating to that area, in anticipation of something else taking that spot in 2016.
