coasterkid21
It seems that one side gets a great headchopper effect with the house but the other doesn't.
coasterkid124
Hmm the official website says lsm technology, but the video mentioned flywheel. I wonder which is true
adam47150
To be a fly on the wall in the meeting that KK management called to watch the announcement. (You know they all got together to watch just like us)
ahecht
So.... it's furious baco? Launched wing coaster with smoke effects on the launch doesn't seem that "first of its kind" to me.
eddie200330
I thought this was very nice......... Â http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2014/07/24/emotions-run-high/

coasterbill
Wow, I think we need to head out to Holiday World next year. I love Wingriders and this one looks like it's going to be the best one yet.
HWLover
Good job to the several members on here, and myself, who guessed the name of the ride and that it would be a launched wing coaster. I'm so impressed with this!!!
Propeller Factory
Flywheels can store energy for an electric (LIM/LSM launch.) The animation looked like LIM/LSM launch. Â Wonder if she misspoke about the flywheel or if the animation wasn't accurate? Â I think I've heard from others that Anubis and Sky Rocket use flywheels to store energy for a launch. That is probably what this is. Â In the vid it sounds like an lsm.
better_by_design
Looks very legit - for a wing coaster. And obviously the launch into the massive Immelman is impressive. The keyhole barn thing at the end looks great... it all looks great. Â It all just seems a little un-Holiday World-ish to me. Â Great, but... I'll shut up now. ahecht
Hmm the official website says lsm technology, but the video mentioned flywheel. I wonder which is true  LSM with the flywheel attached to an electric generator.
Brassinthegrass
Im not seeing a flywheel as they said in the webcast...
RCF
It's a flywheel LSM Launch. The same goes for Wicked at Lagoon. So it's both, basically.
ahecht
Im not seeing a flywheel as they said in the webcast... Â It's inside a building attached to a generator, I wouldn't expect it to be visible.
Rambler
Looks good. Thunderbird will be my first wingrider as I doubt I'll be getting to CP, DW, SFGAm this year. Looking forward to it.
better_by_design
So.... it's furious baco? Launched wing coaster with smoke effects on the launch doesn't seem that "first of its kind" to me. Â They did say "first launched wing coaster in the nation" so, yeah. Â I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is going to be MUCH better than Baco though. Â Although, interestingly, Baco had/has critics saying it ruined the area it's in.
coasterjunkie1975
Looks like a fun ride...it has 2 things I love in a Roller coaster....a launch and good interaction. Hopefully they keep the theming that is pictured in the videos ( The fog/lightening and the farm)
ScreaminNewEngland
Kinda short for a 22 million dollar ride. Â It still looks awesome!
thrillerman1
Kudos to one of the best indie parks in the world. Looking forward to checking Thunderbird out in 2015!
Mega_Coaster_77
now this... is the way wingriders were supposed to be! and it turned out to be the orange track what is that blue track for?????
BBH
Flywheels are mechanisms for storing energy. The Incredible Hulk Coaster uses a flywheel to store energy for its launch, and this will work in the exact same way, but with the flywheel holding power for LSMs instead of drive tires. The flywheel does NOT launch the train by itself like on a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coaster.
Invertalon
Awesome... Looks awesome! I am excited for the smaller train, which should lessen the push/pull feeling and improve the pacing through the elements. Launched B&M finally? Cool stuff. I think it will be incredible! Â This will get me back to HW next year for sure!

Coasterdude54
Lame, I guess I'm going to carowinds instead next year. JK. The ride looks really cool and I'm excited for the future of the B&M launch, but the ride looks like its going to be a capacity nightmare with only 5 cars per train.
