Coaster Palooza
I know it has been a while since I posted our Trip Reports. For those of you that know our trips, I hope you like it. Those that haven’t seen these before, I hope you enjoy them too. I will try to update the thread with our trips from last year as well. It depends on how much time I have. I will get this started with West Coast Bash. We didn’t take too many photos at West Coast Bash, but it was a blast! We had a very good time. I know most of you have seen other trip reports, so I won’t go into too much detail. The photos are below. The Entrance... The crowd waiting patiently. More crowd photos. Gyendolynne was a little cold. Only seat belts and lap bars on Revolution! We met up with Heath and Kim. More ERT on Tatsu! Our ERT ended on X2. That is perfect ERT line. I'm on the ride. I love this shot outside of X2. Once the park opened, we headed to Superman. We finished on Goliath. The lunch was good too. We took a quick trip to Knotts in the afternoon. I don't know how many go to Independence Hall, but it is a good stop. Thay have a replica of the Liberty Bell there. Coaster Palooza
The next stop for the 2010 tour was Bay Area Bash. We met up with the bus when it stopped at Santa Cruz on Friday night. I will post the SFDK on another post. I have a few more pictures at that park than I have at SCBB. We had a great night riding Giant Dipper and meeting up with some friends. I'm here! I will patiently wait for the bus...and my wife. I don't know how many people look at this, but these are boards from the original boardwalk. I know it is open now. I wish we could have gone on opening day. Some construction photos. We're here to ride you for a couple of hours. As I continue to wait, I thought I would show a little bit of the place. This stage will be rockin' on Friday nights! WOW! What are they setting up for? It must be someone important... The bus showed up, now for some ground rules. Everyone pays attention to Robb. It wouldn't be a report from SCBB without a volleyball photo. Riding Dipper! Hi Joey! I needed a couple more though. This must be where we need to go for food...and BEER! Yep, it is where we get beer. Hi Kevin, I will post SFDK soon.
Coaster Palooza
We picked up my neice, Tori, the next morning and headed to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The second leg of Bay Area Bash. I hope you like a lot of pictures. There will be 2 posting for this. It has a lot of animal photos. Tram ride from the parking lot Discovery King... Robb distributed tickets. Don't worry, Shouka won't hurt you. Captain Lee trains the audience. Hi, I'm Shouka thbbbbbb ERT on Medusa Giraffes don't hurt you. Elephants need a bath...EVERY DAY! Captain Lee cleans the elephant's eyes. Make sure you get my toes. Do you see how clean my toes are? It doesn't look like it was a good toss of the orange. Tori was picked to feed the elephant. Our private elephant show. TPR lines up for the tug-of-war. So far so good.... hold on... hold on... hold on... Failure! Everyone gets to feed the elephant. The new babies. Lunchtime was fun with the animals. Tori, you won't get bit. This dolphin won't hurt you either. hehehe, that tickles! yep, Awwww, the sloth is cute. Robb won one of the raffles, I think. It might have been Kristen winning. The otter show was really good. She is a new trainer and they threw her into the water. Thomas Train Gyendolynne having a beer and getting a foot massage. I have a couple more shots of the cubs coming up, as well as a few more photos. I hope you're enjoying it!
Coaster Palooza
A few more photos from SFDK...continued. more photos of the cubs. We saw Odin and the other ones this way too. Out of my way, I'm coming through The tiger show is always a good time. I love it when they dive in the water. Tori putting on a goofy hat. Gyendolynne and Tori rode Roar a few more times than I did. This is how ERT looks like on a TPR trip. Getting ready for the water challenge...Something tells me that this won't end well. Tony Hawk! We had a great time! One final shot, thanks for lasting this long.
Coaster Palooza
Alright, time to get the Midwest Trip posted. We started our Midwest Trip at Cedar Point. Our trip will take us from Cedar Point to Six Flags Great America, Hard Rock Café Indianapolis, Indy 500 (only photos), Kings Island, and finally Holiwood Nights at Holiday World. It was our third trip to Cedar Point. I am glad we have been there before because Top Thrill wasn’t running that great. It was a real disappointment. We didn’t get on it at all! Maverick bashed us around, but Millennium Force was running awesome! The shows were great too. Those kids work their butts off. I won’t bore you anymore with the typing. I will start with Cedar Point. We're here! America's Rockin' Roller Coast Take the tunnel... Maverick was down when we arrived on Saturday. This was a big worry, I'm glad I fit. This is Sunday, day 2. The crowd waiting for ERT rope to drop. It wouldn't matter because Maverick AND Millennium Force were down! We waited out Maverick's line. Finally got on it around 10:15. Standard shot leaving the station. WOOHOO! Millennium Force! After the wait for Maverick and MF, we rode Magnum and then headed to the hotel. When we got back, we decided to see a couple of shows. The set for the country show. It wouldn't be a Saloon without a beer! These kids work their butts off! On our way to the next show, we stopped off at Shoot the Rapids to see what was up. Oh my God! They're testing! Exclusive water dummy shot, nobody has this! Yep, if you're by MF, you gotta take some photos. Show number 2. It is a tropical number. These shows are well worth the time to go see them. Meanwhile, back at MF the wait just gets worse. My head isn't that big...is it? On Day 3 of our trip (5/31), the ERT for MF kicked butt! ERT on Top Thrill Dragster sucked though. It wasn't running and had rollbacks for over an hour! Hands down! Hands down! Hands down! They must have played that around 8-10 times. Our Maverick On-Ride photo. We had family get on-line and save this. That's us in the box.

Coaster Palooza
^The Coaster Palooza Hotel is always open! The beer is always cold... We headed to Six Flags Great America after Cedar Point. There was an incredible storm that we drove through on Memorial Day. I’m glad we weren’t at a park. We went to SFGam a couple of years ago, but we didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy the park. We set aside a day and a half this time. It was great! We started out at Dark Knight, they opened before the park opened, then went to Ragin’ Cajun, V2, Whizzer (finally rode it) and continued with the rest of the coasters. It was a great trip to the park and we decided to not go for the next day since we finished everything. The next day, we headed to Mason, OH (Kings Island) by way of Indianapolis. We stopped at Hard Rock Café (we usually do) and Indy 500. Once we arrived in Mason there was a HUGE thunderstorm. Oh well, another travel day and no park issues. After a long drive through a thunderstorm, we had to go to the pub outside the hotel. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...Yep, 6-Flags! I can't believe 6-Flags has a line for no bags! I have a weird feeling that this park is so familiar... First ride on Dark Knight. Everyone else waited for Superman and the rope to drop. We got on this BEFORE the rope dropped! Making up for the last trip V2... I don't know why, but I had to ride it. Wow! Little Dipper.... Stuck on the lifthill. No, I wasn't on it! I never rode this at Great America in Santa Clara. I finally got on it here. Gyendolynne was highly disappointed that she couldn't ride in the Wiggles car. Do we have ERT on the Bull? Goofy look from Gyendolynne, while I try to get the shot of the empty queue. After 4 rides on the Bull, we went to ride Superman. It wouldn't be a complete trip without a beer. The park still has the areas that we used to have at the original Marriott's Great America. I had to ride Iron Wolf too... I think I still have my brain scrambled! Beer hat and Beer mug...check. The new Buccaneer Battle, well new to me... The following day, we're onto Wednesday, we headed to Mason. First we had to stop at the Hard Rock Cafe in Indianapolis. Yep, we have been to many of these. This is Nikki Sixx busted up guitar. He actually wants it back. We couldn't go through Indianapolis without stopping at the Indy 500. The next stop is Kings Island...see you soon.
Coaster Palooza
We went to Kings Island on Thursday (6/3) with our Club TPR membership cards in hand. The early morning walk back to Diamondback and The Beast would prove to be very beneficial. We were able to ride Diamondback 4 times and The Beast twice. After that, we went around the whole park. It was a blast! The crowds were light because of the thunderstorms, from the night before, and the rain in the morning. Arrive early and this is what you'll see. It is 9am. What a beautiful morning! ERT on Diamondback! Diamondback will eat your cellphone. Next stop... ERT on The Beast! Italian Stunt Job. We rode this before, but it is still a nice ride and with no wait, it was better. Does this count as 2? I will let Rich and Scott discuss this. I know what Jeff's answer is. Raise your hand if you're a Pilot. The blue side opened up later and we raced. We couldn't believe the price for this. TOTAL Denial! Gyendolynne likes hanging out with Snoopy Yes, I did fit on this. Boo Blasters wasn't a bad ride, once again, no wait! When you arrive at 9am, you get the first parking space. Gyendolynne is getting ready to ride. She is in the third row. Hi! Yep, gotta get the smashed pennies. I was happy that there wasn't a line... I love the fact that Kings Island has a full bar. Day 2, and it will be another great ERT on Diamondback. See, this ERT is just AWESOME. That's it, next stop will be our final one at Holiday World for Holiwood Nights. Diamondback onride photo. Isn't it true that fat TURNS INTO muscle? Six Flags Enthuseast
Great TR so far! I wish I would've been able to ride Xtreme Skyflyer for only $5. CGA's charged $15 per person while I was at BAB.

Coaster Palooza
Our last stop on the MidWest trip was at Holiday World for Holiwood Nights. We had a great time meeting up with friends and riding the coasters. The Voyage is a beast, but The Raven more than makes up for it! Have a look at Scott’s TR for a full review on it. We all can’t wait for the Timberline trains. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55592 We also had so much fun at the water park. A BIG thanks to Scott and Shannon for suggesting that we go to it. Wildebeest was so fun. I am so happy that Holiday World has unlimited sunblock and drinks. I can't believe this picture is blurry. Hi Santa, who doesn't take this photo? First stop, we have to wait out the park getting emptied. Many people went for the photo op on the new TL Trains... we went with Scott and Shannon to ride. Shannon's extra special Bank Pen. she was able to give the pen to Will Koch (RIP). Gyendolynne and Scott on the TL train for the photo op. Hi Guys! Day 2 of Holiwood Nights, after a full morning in the Water Park! We took a walk around the park and took some photos. I'm thinking of Grease for some reason... Did we ride one of the oldest Carousels? Ya gotta get a picture with Holidog! I have to wait in line for my smashed pennies! I'm so happy that there are smashed pennies. We saw Heath and Kim too! I think they enjoyed their ride. Gyendolynne and Shannon wait patiently for the front row. Luckily they had the "smooth" ride in the blue train. On our way back to Columbus, we stopped by the Kentucky Speeday. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, this isn't Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse! That's All Folks...for now. Coaster Palooza
^Sorry about that Matt. It didn't sound like you were going to be around when we talked at West Coast Bash. We'll have to meet up the next time we come through. I really want to go to the Friendly Confines. We have never been there. They were out of town when we came through this time.
