Groteslurf
And the last park of our credit run afternoon was Blackbeard's Cave. To be honest I only discovered the name of the park after 2-3 weeks back at home. Till then, I simply didn't know what the name of this little park was. Somewhere in the corner of a parking lot, there's a very small park .... I can be wrong, but when the ride ops saw 5 adults entering the park, I think they were a little bit scared .... But there was a coaster, so we were at the right place Credit 10 For such a tiny park, the coaster was in fact quite big. Next update will be SFGAdv, which I visited the morning and evening of our creditwhore afternoon.

Groteslurf
Thanks Laura. Â 20 hours after getting home from the USA, I was on a plane again, direction Reus, Spain. Destination Port Aventura of course. We arrived at the Gold River hotel in the evening and after checking in we spent some time in the park. Port Aventura is not only beautiful in daylight I have some ranting to do about Port Aventura though. I always loved the stores at PA, the stores where you could find stuff you won't find at any other theme park. But a lot of the nice stores have been transformed into candy shops now. Probably the earnings are better, but I for sure didn't like the new look. I was time for my first Fiestaventura ever My youngest daughter Fiestaventura. I really heard only good things about this show. Because of all the good things I heard about the show, my expectations were a bit too high I suppose The show was ok, but I expected much more of it. Next morning, we took a swim in the Lucy's Mansion private pool. The Mansion is a part of the Gold River Hotel. The Gold River has 3 other swimming pools Those pools are a bit noisy with Stampida right next to the pools Lucy's Mansion from the front Hotel Gold River's restaurants It's still an ok ride, but terribly slow the second part, especially the blue train 3rd B&M for my oldest daughter. New parkzone TamTam got an extreme makeover Tamimi It's a nice zone, but it doesn't breath the Port Aventura vibe in a way. Compared to the other park zones, it's really chaotic. Hour long waiting rows everywhere Luckily we got unlimited express wristbands as a hotel guest so we had some more time to explore the hotel Next day we went to the waterpark in the morning. Back at the Port Aventura Park Baco. it was the 3 year I rode Baco since opening and I can describe my rides as follows : rough, rougher, roughest. Self portrait. Groteslurf
Yeah Chad, after the splitting up, especially the blue train almost feels like going 10mph max. Â Part II Once my favorite B&M. It's still good, but I rode better ones in the meantime Time for another rant The park is selling express passes everywhere in the park, without any limit it seems .... Because the express line for almost every attraction (here the log flume row) was way too long. Some more Sesame pics Small hotel break Mansion lobby At 6 pm, tapa's, soda and cava are served for free for the Mansion hotel guests I used to love this shop .... Now it's just an ordinary candyshop Aaaah, this shop is still there I love themeparkshops like this But she was too tall to ride with me, so we each had our own horse She had a lot of pounding to do I hope they won't ever transform those lovely shops into candy shops I was thinking of buying one for a good friend of mine, who's really into budhism Express line row Blue train was out of order again, or maybe it halted somewhere on track .... Why do I still have a donkey title ? Yes, it's tilting They got the blue train working again Templo del Fuego Hotel map Some kind of hidden Mickey ? I don't remember that thing being there ??? Best mine train in the world ..... New park map Construction works And some on rides to end
xmichellex
Thanks for all these great pics! Port Aventura looks like such a nice park. I have wanted to ride Dragon Khan ever since I saw pics of it in my "White Knuckle Ride" coaster book years ago... It still is such an awesome coaster to look at. Â I love the on-ride pictures! That drop tower looks insane
chadster
^ I agree, that onride tower photo is full of win! Too bad American parks don't have that, they'd make a fortune!
Groteslurf
Okay, quickly moving on to the next update. This will be a music update before my Italian theme parks TR's. Between Spain and Italy, I had to work 3 weeks and during the day after Spain and the day before Italy, I went to 2 music festivals. The first one was Linkerwoofer in Antwerp. A free festival and despite the really bad weather it was quite crowded. My daughters and I went to see only 1 band : De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. My favorite local band. Well, in fact they are dutch, but we speak the same language , so ...  The day before going to Italy, I went to Laundry Day, Antwerp with a friend. It's a dance festival, originally started as a street party in my favorite shopping street in Antwerp back in 1988, Laundry Day grew to what it is today : 60000 people, 150 dh's, 15 stages. My friend already went a few times to Laundry Day, for me it was my first time since it grew so big as it is today. I had a really awesome day. The music and company were sooooo great. I decided already to go the next edition too and to another dance festival next summer.  Before moving on the pics, some youtube impressions I shot during the 2 days.  De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8W5bJO3pi9s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su5KJn5PXYc  Laundry Day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tURdkDVIcIo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNRX1rsB1Jc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxv3W4bFSa4 Linkerwoofer : the weather really sucked It's at the left bank of the river Scheldt I'm a bit claustrophopic so I could have never ever done what my daughter is about to do here De Jeugd van Tegenwoord The rain stopped magically during the concert They were really awesome. Time for Laundry Day It was a really hot day Circus Brussel, the stage of my favorite radio channel Studio Brussel. Bling Bling stage, not really my favorite music, but my friend liked it, so I liked it 15 stages in total Dubstep stage My friend and I Dr Lektroluv Main stage I luv Dr Elektroluv Schedule of the day Mmmmmhhhh, Baccardi Our local hero : REGI !!!!! Laundry day .... At midnight, right after the fireworks, the music died, and it started to rain big time. We were TOTALLY soaked when we got to our car, but we didn't mind ... it was such an awesome day :-) :-)  Next up : Italy
Groteslurf
After 3 years of autumn trips to Germany, this year we did a 6 days Italy Trip for in total 8 different parks, 1 sea life center and 1 waterpark. Â The first Sunday of September, we arrived in Rome. Waiting for our flight at Brussels airport A few hours later we were already exploring Rome Somewhere over there is the vatican and some very old buildings .... that's enough culture for this trip. Time to eat And yeah .... drink We spent our Rome evening in the Trastevere district Because we had some 5-adults-fitting-in-an-average-car problems last year, we rented this van in Italy Park 1 : Rainbow Magicland Opening ceremony First coaster of the trip Still testing Hans was interested in other stuff At 10 am sharp the park opened It looks awesome It's a great ride, but no top 10 material Next ride The flying island Ancient sexual lessons I assume Some areal pics Shopping outlet Parking lot with covered parking spaces. Be on time if you want to avoid the line IOA Parks showing the way to the nearest bar must be good The theming at the park is totally awesome Fooking Elfies darkride Blur Elfie Approved by EB & Hans They didn't bother to approve it The rest of Rainbow Magicland coming up soon in part II
Groteslurf
Part II of Rainbow Magicland Madhouse Wacky worm time Kiddie raftride Such a weird element Hello !! The theming in the park is overwhelming Oops Huntik, by far the best ride in the park. Similar to Spiderman, Indy, Dinosaur, Darkastle, .., but it includes shooting. Waiting area Random restaurant theming Souvenir shop More Huntik Even the drop ride was themed Mike got soaked on one of the waterrides and didn't ride the drop tower with us but in stead tried to dry up in the sun. It worked perfectly, except .... here Planetarium 4D movie Bye bye We still had a long drive ahead to Toscany and shortly after we arrived at the hotel, I noticed my friend ... We had an excellent dinner at the hotel "Document your food", Hans told me I do remember I had a whole bottle of excellent wine all to myself Goodnight Toscany
Groteslurf
The reason why we drove to Tuscany, was a small themepark called Cavallino Matto. If the park wouldn't have had 4 rollercoasters, we would probably never have gone to this park. But I'm very glad we did because I loved this cute little park. The hotel we stayed in was just great in daylight. I had a room in one of the separate buildings near the swimming pool That's the name of the hotel Main building of the hotel The views were stunning Time for our morning park that day : Cavallino Matto Entrance plaza Parkmap Mike catching up some sleep before the park opened. The huge park entrance Guess what this is ! Great kiddie rides Let's ride Next credit Big Cheese Hans didn't really fit in the train Airtime hill Hans had problems to get out of the train too. Spaceshot tower This was such a great ride. Amazing before it reach over the top of the trees The train building you saw before, is just the train station Splash battle Giant Octopussy Biggest coaster of the park Park train Area NO picnic Mini canoe Go EB !! Last credit Horse ride Another great ride you don't see very often Droptower Safari Adventure Random drinks advertisement CF, don't those colors look great ? Next Up Fiabilandia. The Flux Capacitor!
Wow...I have been lurking on these forums for about a year (Hi, my name is Ku, and I'm a chick from the UK. I'm 23) but omg I didn't know anyone else in the world had been to Cavallino Matto - I went there with my folks a few years ago. I even bought a t-shirt. All the credits were RUBBISH. vuurvogel
Woohoo, great pictures B. I always like seeing me on a roller coaster. Â ^ I thought the coasters were nice. It is all L&T so kind of rare. The two kiddies are not that special but I found the Mouse to be quite smooth and a funny lay out and project one was a good coaster. Not very save, but good. Groteslurf
^^Hi Ku, I was thinking about buying a t-shirt too  ^ It were not the best coasters ever, but it was such a lovely park that I really enjoyed the credits, especially Project

Groteslurf
After a noon drive from the italian west coast to east coast, we arrived as scheduled in Rimini for our afternoon visit to Fiabilandia. Yay, we're there Ticket booth Fiabilandia Castle The theming looks old but it's really another lovely park, with some unique rides and exceptional landscaping. Let's dark ride Into the castle Wonder what's inside ... This is .... so weird, but at the same time really awesome in a way Spacemouse I think it's the same model as you can find in Castle Park in California. I think it was that park where this mouse is, which on the lifthill, the cars are already hanging aside 4D cinema This may sound weird but you have to ride it to agree on this : this wacky worm/big apple is by far the top attraction of Fiabllandia It's not a thrill ride, but for the rest it really has everything including big apple themed waiting row It's probably the longest wacky worm in the world. And it's a terrain worm Funky themed trains Great theming BIG apples Weird signs : no signs that it's forbidden to smoke, drink, eat, copulate, etc on the ride, BUT DON'T YOU DARE TO WEAR HATS !!!!!!!!! 2 adults + 1 child in 1 car .... no problemo 5 adult TPR members in 1 train .... no problemo Dark ride sections Animatronics Tunnels The ride keeps on going and going it's really amazingly long The ride is called Valle deli Gnomi and unfortunately rcdb doesn't know how long the ride is It even has onride pics !!! The park really is beautiful Swingdoors ha ! (Max Headroom - Paranoimia) Hey, let's look for Roxy and Chris They were nowhere around But we did find another coaster This was (also) a very long custom made mine train. I may say something forbidden now, but I liked this ride much more than BTM Where Indians live ... and you can visit them Random kiddie ride I love this park I also love fois gras. I loved this random walkthrough aswell Oh no, again fooking elfies Yes EB, I got you Park train Wow, what's that ? Don't care for now, let's follow the bar sign I wanna ride this now oh wait .... are we going to get soaked ??? Oh, the soaking is turned of when the train passes by .... so let's ride !!!! Buta firsta, we maka pizza EB sayings 'prego', his own made pizza And now I wanna ride this thing !!! Hans & Mike getting ready Don't be afraid child, they will turn the water off ... And luckily they did But you'll get eaten by that random dragon Deep throat Maze time I want to be taller than Hans ... Maze fun.(part II coming in a few minutes) Edited October 8, 2011 by Groteslurf
Groteslurf
part II More maze fun Insect house Slash battle Fiabilandia is in Rimini, so was our hotel, right next to the beach Another sea credit Go EB Room with a view In Rimini you can buy politically TOTALLY incorrect wines. Yeah, the real fascist Il Duce wine. i'm not really sure, but I think I might end up in prison when I would drink this in public out here .... but yeah, it's a ******* country where I live I guess. What do you do in Italy to eat. Find an Irish pub ..... Rose & Crown Restaurant Closed the night at the bar right behind our hotel After the beers we had that evening, we couldn't figure this out anymore .....
