Groteslurf
I found some great POV's of the 2 watercoasters on youtube. Water mountain is the name of the 2nd coaster BTW. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
Groteslurf
PPS Park : when i booked the villa, I didn't know there would be a small amusement park nearby. I only discovered this a week or so before we drove to Spain. The park is called PPS park, holds 2 credits and is very busy in the evenings. It's a small place, but as much as possible attractions have been crammed into the small area. Entrance Ciclon, the top credit of this small but nice park. Small kiddie coaster but fun First credit : Gold mine no bicycles on Ciclon. If you're ever near this place, you have to go there. It's a very nice, well maintained and clean park. That's it for Spain. Never saw something like this before. Lots of kids attractions Every inch of the park is used Horse trail Ferris wheel The coaster was surprisingly smooth. It actually was very smooth. Zorb balls Hopper There is even a log flume And a funhouse in a boat And nice trash cans And you can shoot at PPS park Everything very well maintained and clean
jray21
Looks like a fun carnival. Yay for surprise credits! When I saw the riverboat, I immediately thought of Splash Mountain and Fantasmic at DL. I'm such a nerd.
gisco
I like the water park. Looks like a lot of area to kick back on the grass and watch people on the slides.
Groteslurf
Last themepark of the year, Phantasialand. When you go in spring, you get a free ticket to come back later the same year, so here we were, somewhere in Octobre on a sunny Sunday, back in Phantasialand. But first I'll show you some pictures of our museum day, the day before. The weather was really great to make a bicycle tour, so we decided to bike to the city of Antwerp and visit a museum : MAS. It's the abbreviation for Museum At the Stream, with stream they mean the river Scheldt. The museum is already open since a few years but I've never visited it before. I'm far from into museums, but I was impressed by several cool stuff which was there Me. This was cool. A dark room with all kind of projections of sentences and at the same time those sentences were whispered in the room. Really awesome. I think I spent 15 minutes in that room. it was like some kind of modern meditation. Every floor holds a different museum The river Scheldt as can been be seen from the top of the museum The MAS building. Weird but cool design More about MAS More Antwerp And more The roofdeck is really great Old city of Antwerp My oldest daughter More river Back inside More random stuff Skulls are always great On our way back home, we made a stop at the 'pool-boat' Swimming in the summer, iceskating during winter 18 hours later, Phantasialand Not the biggest themepark, but it's so great how the cram a lot of big rides on such a rather small place. And the theming is really awesome. This is their new attraction of 2012. A well hidden funhouse, which we actually completely missed during our spring visit. We loved this attraction. So much that we rode it 3 times And we love 1/2 metre bratwurst Who needs to go to the other side of the world, if China is in Germany Amazing area of Phantasialand. Equally amazing as the Black Mamba area of which I haven't taken any pics this time. Other side of the park My best friend, and a friend of her daughter Winja's Laundry Hollywood tour My daughter and her friend Another ride in the funhouse Alt Berlin mainstreet Great sunny day Buddha in China Thanks for reading. This was my 2013. But don't worry, I have 'some' more updates for you

Groteslurf
So I'm out of 2013 TR's, but last year I visited a bunch of parks and because of lack of time, I didn't post the TR's so far, so here they come. Each summer, I visit a park with my daughters, but not together, I take each of them a to a park on a different day. We do that since quite some years, and every year the look forward to their special day. This time, I took my oldest daughter to Parc Asterix and my youngest to Plopsacoo & Snowworld in Landgraaf to ride their alpine coaster. Park Asterix. I bought Premium pass for our day. Expensive but well worth the money. Lunch in the best restaurant of the park is included, vip parking on the busparking about 50 meters to the entrance is included, premium seating at the shows and most important front of line at the main attractions. And they really mean front of line. I could see on the 'guest list' at the guest relations that they sold 6 premium packages for that day, so we were quite privileged and when the ride ops saw us arriving through the exit of the attractions, they welcomed us, stopped the GP from entering the ride and let us choose where we would like to sit. We rode their new B&M 7 times, front row every time, Zeus front and back row, the log flume about 6 times because it was a hot day, etc. We had a fabulous day. Oh yeah, an onride picture was also included. I calculated that if you would pay everything separately, the front of line pass was only about 20 euros extra, so very well worth the money. And hey, no people standing too close to us or breathing in our face in waiting line for us Because we didn't have to wait anywhere, we had ample time to shop Every park should have a lake Lunchtime. I actually liked Oziris. My daughter's 4th B&M Premium seating for us. Always enjoy this show I really enjoyed this airconditioned place. Great to relax from the busy park We so enjoyed our day I especially like the long straight part in the first part The man himself Basic but nice for a themepark Sorry for the jumping. The multiple picture uploader mixed up the order of my pictures because the weren't numbered correctly in iPhoto. Elephants are the best Ready to take the tunnel on Zeus More shopping Some nice elements Very tasty Expensive shopping I'm gonna get you My daughter riding a rabbit. Hope that doesn't sound too weird Plopsa fountain playground. Kids love it on hot days And their terrain coaster called 'Coaster' Oh yeah, Oziris has a tunnel Another new character : Maja the bee That's better 2 days later I took my youngest daughter to Plopsacoo Rabbit ride Vicky the Viking station The maze is huge and difficult to find the way out Thank you Parc Asterix for making our day unforgettable Maya Green parks are great And eat our lunch at the top of the hill Plopsacoo may not have the greatest rides but it's such a relaxing park. Plopsa bought the rights of Vicky the Viking some years ago so that liscence is being rolled out in their parks now Vicky the Viking ride Wildlife tour Almost falling asleep Vicky the Viking is a great addition for the park We got ourselves the all you can ride wristband of course Petting zoo The belgian Niagara falls Great to see the wildlife below For lunch we always take the cable lift to the top of the mountain My daughter loves this Going down again Hooray for alpine coasters Not the longest one, but absolutely enjoyable There's also a very long rope course We could have done another lap of the park, but my daughter enjoyed the bobsleds so much, that I decided to take her to another place to ride her first alpine coaster But we're here for the coaster In fact it's a place to ski, but we're not into that. As they added an alpine coaster, it attracted my attention Last ride on the bobsleds My daughter is terrified to ride any roller coaster, but I guess this pic says it all Snowworld, Landgraaf We rode it 10 times that afternoon We enjoyed it that much, that we drove back there the day after, together with my other daughter On ride pics Plopsacoo on ride To close this TR, the same onride picture but 4 years earlier. Next visit in 4 years Edited December 8, 2013 by Groteslurf
WFChris
Very fun reports! I'm not sure but was that the first positive review of Parc Asterix to ever hit TPR? I've always wanted to go despite the reports of their coasters being rough.
Nrthwnd
Excellent trip reports! And those alpine slides are great! But - when this popped up, my head went to the finale of Disney & Pixar's A Bugs Life, with the popping sheaths of grains, like a big bug-sized fireworks display. Very cool. Nice photo. Great shot. One of my favourites, here.
Groteslurf
^ haha, great discription of that picture ^^ thanks. An excellent front of line system can turn a lame park in an excellent park I guess

Groteslurf
Europapark, probably my favorite park of the world. There is so much to do and the theming is just awesome. And the hotels are in my opinion the best themepark hotels in the world. We booked a suite in their latest hotel : Hotel Bell Rock. This was our welcome package Our roof terrace. Actually being a bit weird being in between of the roofs, but any terrace is better than no terrace room art The room was very spacious and nice The hotel (Bell) Rock(ed) It's a really nice themed hotel My plan was to book the top floor in the tower but that room was already taken While the kids where in the swimming pool, we had a 'high tea' Loved this And we love fountains Room view the theming of the room was awesome Batavian pirates Wodan is a very good woodie My youngest didn't dare to ride it but she had fun with this But she dared to ride this One of the better themed and fun splash battles It's really a lot of fun Giant splash boat You don't get that wet on the ride Time to eat Of course we had chosen the roller coaster restaurant Your order is served right in front of you through this mini roller coaster track It wasn't only fun, the food was actually pretty good Russia Greece Poseidon is really an awesome ride And it also doesn't get you soaked Silver Star waiting building Italy Epcot I love this area. Switzerland. It's just like being in the Wallis area If you show this pic so a non-themeparkfan, they will say you were in Switzerland I'm not a fan of this ride, though it's so great on pictures Back home I love this hotel. It's the best of all 5 Europark hotels Europapark has done a really good job with the lighting at night Not a fan of sculptures but this one, in front of Bell Rock is awesome Lunch with characters Blue Fire Faking Well hidden but best shop of the park Signature picture Group picture More Poseidon And Blue Fire On our way back home Edited December 14, 2013 by Groteslurf

Nrthwnd
Thanks for the wonderful TR, Benny! And between the Roller Coaster Restaurant and the Raclette place in the Swiss section, I have got to get myself back there, eventually! Where was the coaster restaurant, by the way? I didn't even give it a thought when we were there in 2010, and I believe the place was open by then. Of course, I also missed out on the raclette too, lol. Groteslurf
Thanks. ^^ the rollercoaster restaurant is in between Holland, England and Russia, next to Euromir if I'm not mistaken. Groteslurf
Or should I say, year in random pictures ? In this TR, only pictures of events and stuff I attended during the past year. Things I want to share here, but combined in 1 report because this is all non-themepark related. Still, I hope you like the pics. Aper'eau, the summer after work events in the city of Antwerp. Every 2 weeks at another location, they put up a bar with a DJ and about 1000 people are coming together for a drink in open air. In fact, it's a spanish thing. In spain they organise these random apero evenings via internet. In Spain everybody is bringing their own drinks and they just have a drink together. Here in Antwerp, it's more commercial with a bar and nobody is bringing their own drinks, but it's cool to come together with a lot of people during summer. Hope you enjoyed I had to go to Berlin for work. We made a TPR-style stop at this building, the bundstag or something like that. 'Get off the bus, and take some pictures. In 5 minutes we will leave' At the gasstation, my cool daughter gave me the devil sign Work invited some clients for a boat ride through the port of Antwerp. Having to concentrate and watch out what you say to the clients, is actually much more tiring than sitting in front your screen at the office. At least, you get to take some nice pictures In the back of the car of 2 friends, after spending the afternoon at Soulfest. A soul music festival in the city of Antwerp. Here's my good friend Michael emptying his glass while cruising through the city on to our next stop. Next stop Another Aper'eau evening with some colleagues Cirque@ttack, a free entrance festival in the village where I live. In the afternoon it's great to hang out with my kids In the evening with friends, it usually ends like this Antwerpen Proeft/Antwerp tasts : awesome concept. Some 50 restaurants sell their stuff at moderate prices and you get to taste all kinds of different stuff. And drink of course Me With my brother-in-law at a party for my youngest daughter Olmense Zoo. One of the best zoos in Belgium Close encounters My friend won 2 tickets for MDNA, worth 300 euro. I don't get people want to pay that amount of money for a concert of hardly 2 hours Even if it is Madonna. Heather Nova at another free entrance festival Casa Blanca One of my favorite DJ's : Dr Lektroluv And on to the next festival : Summerfestival. 60000 youngsters celebrate the end of the school year. We felt quite old at that festival Casa Blanca is held at a former abbey Another party we threw to celebrate the birthday of my daughters. Michael ended up in the swimming pool It was very hot that day, so the pool was really welcome Awesome day and party I don't even remember which event this was. I remember there was vodka in those things Another hot evening during summer at Bocadero Antwerp. One of the city beach experiences we have here Houza Palooza. Yet another dance music festival we attended Yeah, we're getting old And only dring water this time No angel Great festival though La Fuente And more Dr Lektroluv And clearly, this is Laundry Day Don't think I will go again next year. It's just too overcrowded Laundry flags My colleagues and me Michael and his colleague Gastronautica: an event for the branch I work in. The food always sucks. At least, there's an open bar I assume there is some wodka in this Sunset festival. One of the better festival I attended The settings at the lake are so beautiful Really beautiful We spend most of the time in front of the hard style stage. Aerial pic of the festival I borrowed some pics from the festival's FB page because they are so awesome Fireworks is always good Off-shore the place is called where I took this picture. It's at the left bank of the river in Antwerp. Exellent place to take pictures of the right bank where the old city is situated Cuba in Antwerp Muse in Antwerp I still like Muse, though I liked them more a few years ago Winter in the city centre park Fête Burlesque in a castle It was a GREAT evening when these girls started their show. I have some pictures of the ladies taken some minutes later, but those will be too shocking for you Sensation White. Great indoor party. You can't get in if you're not dressed in white great great show It ended at 6 am Fireball !!! (or something like that) Flying persons Mr White My own f*ck you midget 80/90/00's party. What an absolutely great vibe Another Antwerpen Proeft/Antwerp taste event. This time we bought vip tickets. You get ample food tickets and more important, you can drink whatever you want at the nice price of 0/zero euro I really wish a could drink more that evening 2** Michelin chef food During lunch, I tend to go to this place near work. Excellent place to be on you own and relax a bit and just, enjoy life My youngest daughter asked me to paint her face for Halloween. She scared herself when looking in the mirror My daughter likes to prepare dinner during the weekend. I'm not exaggerating, but this was real good food Last Octobre we organized a party. This is me with my best friend. Btw, thanks Hans for coming over from Holland Some weeks ago, we tested an electrical car with some colleagues. it's a MIA car. The concept is that the car is designed like how a kid would draw a car. I admit, it's not the most beautiful car there is, but it's really nice to drive it. Some last pictures of my random TR, Swedish House Mafia They were doing a last tour before their split. This was one absolutely crazy night, I swear It's weird to call it a concert, because they're DJ's, but I have to say it, this was one of the best 'concerts' ever
djcoastermark
I am sooo jealous of your cocert trips over there. Unfortunately here, most of the big concerts seem to usually be about monster trucks, driving around in a pick em up truck with a 12 pack, gun racks and throwin chick'n bones out the winders, singing about the saddest day of their lives when the dog left them and the wife stayed. you get the drift. Those shows over there look so immersive and fun.
