New computer to be built from ground up, topping it off with a transparent case lit up via ice blue LEDs. I've always liked those kinds of cases. jammy2by4
^^Your next one sounds amazing and the transparent case with ice blue LEDs, wow! Model: Samsung RF511 S01UK OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5 2410M @ 2.3GHz RAM: 6GB Graphics: nVidia GeForce GT 540M Hard Drive: 640GB @ 5400 RPM I was really picky about which one I wanted. It had to have a silver background, black keys, a number pad, good speakers, a microphone, a decent webcam and good graphics to play RCT3. I call him Mr Fiddles. Angry_Gumball
Ever-so-slight change in plans, found a pre-built that will do what I need it to do while shaving off some cash. Currently set up with 2 computers via a KVM: Original and new machine. New computer has: AMD FX8100 8-core processor (For some reason, I manage to keep coming back to AMD. Fine for me, does the job!) The idea of an "Octo-Core?" sounded cool, as opposed to the original Quad Core. So far it's doing what I need it to do. 10gb DDR3 memory 2TB hard drive GeForce GT530 2gb Windows 7 Home Premium It's an HP computer, I've always liked HP and Compaq (Compaq was my first 'puter back in the 90s). Gave her a test run with Premiere CS4 last night and I was amazed...my original machine couldn't even play back anything unrendered, let alone taking hours just to render the video for preview. Encoding went pretty quick for an HD MP4. I'm also happy because I can now actually play back the videos taken from my iPhone without it choking up on me.
