deathbydinn
Kiddies will love to take a few laps around Kiddieland on the Little Dipper coaster. Those hills may be small, but don't be fooled, they pack a punch! *Shot with Permission* Not exactly your typical Wild Mouse. This thrilling coaster came to the park in 1993. What makes it so special? The cars have no restraints of any kind! *Shot with Permission* These Chance Tobaggon rides used to be everywhere, now theres only a few left and Little Amerricka has one! The vertical lift and long helix are the highlights of this compact thrill. *Shot with Permission* The parks one and only wooden coaster. This coaster started thrilling people in 1953 in Illinois. It opened at Little Amerricka for the 2007 season. It's a ride that everyone loves! And you get three laps! *Shot with Permission* Take a look at this awesome wooden coaster...backwards. *Shot with Permission*

deathbydinn
On June 22 I got to go to BGT for the first time. I was really looking forward to my visit and was pretty happy with the result. I had a Quick Queue but I ended up not needing it. Lines were nice and short for pretty much everything. Heres my ride count and reviews: Rides: Cheetah Chase - 1 - I actually found CC to be fun. Even though it was trimmed pretty bad I still thought it was a nice ride. Scorpion - 3 - Scorpion really exceeded my expectations. It was intense in the front and back, the crew was great and of course, not having OTSRs gives it an A+ in my book. Kumba - 2 - While Kumba is very purdy with its new paint job, holy freaking hell that thing is way too loud! While it is somewhat cool that you can hear it from far away, it really took away from my ride that I could barely hear anything else. The tunnel gave me headaches both times because it is just so loud. The ride itself is great but the sound really took away from my experience. Montu - 1 - I really liked Montu. It had a few elements that I hadn't done inverted yet and I thought they were really fun. It's pretty smooth with light headbanging on the corkscrews and tight turns, but the same thing happed on the other invert I've been on, so its nothing to get upset about. Sheikra - 3 -. Oh Sheikra, how I love thee. Sheikra ended up being my favorite coaster. It was smooth as glass and had great airtime in the back row. It rode it in each row and the back was by far my favorite. It was the only ride I saw breakdown, but at least it happened about an hour before closing. Gwazi - Tiger 1 - Lion 2 - I was VERY pleasantly surprised with Gwazi. Yes the crew did suck...bad, but I didn't think the ride itself was that bad. Sure there was no airtime, but it wasn't rough. It was a little shaky and bumpy but thats it! When I got off I wanted to smack everyone who said "Its a horrible ride, Gwazi is the roughest coaster I've been on bleh bleh" Gwazi is fine!!! Its not a rough ride. Take Hades turn from when you come out of the tunnel. Thats rough. That one turn is worse than all of Gwazi put together! I thought Gwazi was a very good ride and while it might have been a little bumpy, I would not say its as horrible as many people do. Sandstorm - 1 - Nice flat, they could use some more. Phoenix - 1 - Another nice flat, I had no problem with it like some other people have. Might have been because my shoulders weren't touching the restraint. Tidal Wave - 1 - IMO Tidal Wave would be better as a boat ride with maybe a smaller drop. It would be a nice ride for younger kids to, but I saw kids looking at the drop and then not wanting to ride. Congo River Rapids - 1 - Congo will get you soaked. The water jets right before you go in the station were pretty cool and caught a lot of people off guard. There really is no way to come off Congo and not be drenched. Stanley Falls - 1 - Stanley was nice, a bit jerky at some times. The first drop does nothing but the last one can get you pretty wet. Wild Surge - 1- Wild Surge was one of two new rides with Jungala. It's small, but has some pretty good air on it. Zip Line - 1 - I forgot the actual name of it, but the ziplines in Jungala were actually pretty fun. They were small but it was cool to try something new. Shows: Katonga - I really enjoyed Katonga. It was a great way to get out of the heat and the show itself was very good. The actors could actually sing and some of the scenes were very impressive and well done. Kinetixs - Wow, Just wow. Kinetixs is a must see show. It starts after the park closes and is in Gwazi park. The songs were good and current, the singers were good and the stunts were amazing. Really something that must be seen if your at the park! Pictures coming later today! Edited August 21, 2010 by deathbydinn

deathbydinn
Here are the pictures! I tried to include somethings that aren't shown as much. What a great site to see pulling into the park! We went to Timbuktu first for the low capacity rides. What a nice way to get out of the heat. I see two great coasters! The drop was actually really good! Three layers of intense! The only picture I took of Cheetah Chase Yum! I really liked Phoenix! Hey! You arent in the index! Doesnt really fit in with the area...but whatever! Sandstorm was pretty fun. Hmm thats not right Much better! Weee! Or Ouchh! Three rides in one shot! Before After Opps, forgot to put this in earlier. Well, here it is now! Is there a reason behind the 34? You can get some nice construction pics by RR! It's little things like this that really add to the park. They will come right by the truck! Mysterious... Yum..with a 10% discount. Club TPR FTW! This little museum was nice Maps! Old maps! Yeah! More maps! I like Montus color scheme. One of two new elements for me I took this from the train. It didnt turn out great but I still like it. Trying to be artsy... Not great, not horrible With the crew it had, I'd have to wait ten minutes to get a train in that shot Gwazi, meet your maker. No seriously trees made Gwazi. Here's another one of the index I think its just a helicopter ride..without the helicopters. Zebra! I think the train op said these are some of the worlds smallest giraffes I really like this shot The night effects on the train. They were kinda cool. Too bad it didn't get really dark until after the park closed. The bumper cars had lights too. Your tree has coaster growing out of it Porn. This turn was pretty fun. Wee ROARRRR *ow my ears* Jungala! Weeee! The water are was pretty cool Everyone was amazed by the bathing tiger! mmmm Sheikra Trying to be artsy again.. Hot mess That looks like a lions tail not a scorpion... Kinetix! Gwazi. It looked really cool at night! Thats it! Thanks for reading! traincrossin
Nice report Jon! Busch Gardens is one of those parks that I want to get back to when i'm in Florida next time. Of course by then the new coaster will be open!

Jerrykoala2112
Me, personally, I think Gwazi is horrible. I found it rough, boring, and my favorite part of the ride was getting off. Busch Gardens still having Scorpion though, makes up for it's awfulness. Great trip report, I'm still surprised it wasn't crowded (It wasn't crowded when I went last July, but still...) Can't wait for your next report!
Mastersax68
This makes me sooo sad. When I went, it rained for the first hour. Then I watched that show that starts with a K, can't remember it exactly. For the rest of the day, I had Heat Dehydration, and didn't get to ride anything. Awesome TR, though. Makes me wish even more that I had ridden something!
deathbydinn
Not too far from BGT is a really nice zoo called Lowry Park. While having the credit and log flume give it an A+ in my book, the zoo itself is amazing. The site said it was rated #1 zoo (by Parents magazine) and I can see why. It had incredible theming and most of the animals were in big open air areas, which I love to see. Most of the zoo was outdoors except for a few small exhibits. As for the rides, the flume was short and doesn't get you very wet but is still nice, and has some good theming. The coaster is just a single helix Wisdom, but still looks very nice, has some good theming and gives you three laps. The other rides were kiddie rides. They also had the normal zoo rides like a sky safari and safari tours. Overall its a really nice zoo,and while it doesn't have the biggest selection of animals, I highly reccomend at as a place to spend an afternoon. The first animals you see are the monkeys. They seemed a bit lazy as first. Looks like he's getting ready to do something.. There he goes! We must've watched him go around the structure for at least 15 minutes. The baby wasn't quite getting the hang of it. The tigers weren't as active. And you thought Cedar Fair has bad names for rides. That looks like it hurts... Stingrays! Gotta love sting rays! Gator Falls log flume. Very nice theming. Not a huge splash, but still feels good in the Florida heat! This was the *third* time on the trip that I had walked up to a carousel to film it...and it stopped. >.< Wallaroo Station houses the rest of the rides Cha-Ching! The lift. The drop And the helix. The very slow helix at that. One last look. Thats all for this report. Redneck fair coming up next!
Jerrykoala2112
Even though this parks has 3 rides (from what I saw...) it should still be worth visiting for those monkeys! Great report, (some pretty funny captions too!) Thanks for posting!
deathbydinn
For the fourth of July my family was invited to my dads co-workers house for a party. Normally I would turn this offer down, but after learning about a fair a few blocks away, I couldn't pass up a chance to get a few rides in, and maybe even a credit! The fair was very small, it was really just the rides, a few games, food and one band. The collection wasn't too bad for such a small fair. It had the normal creepy ride ops, (some of which I had seen at fairs before). The highlight was probably the safety spiel for the Zipper. I dont know about you, but I prefer to hear all of it instead of, "Stand up, stay back and blah blah blah" Anyway, onto the pics! My favorite picture I took The first ride of the day, lots of spinning! Swings are always fun First time I've seen this outside of RCT Much more fun with other people! I've always liked the art on tornadoes. Yep. Imma whore. Zipper <3 Fun ride, but the restraints REALLY need padding. I dont care how old you are. Slides are fun! Thanks for reading, Italian fest is next!
deathbydinn
I don't want to do a lot of talking now because my next few reports will have lots have it. Long story short, I went to a Italian fest for the free midway. I love this ride. Held together by duct tape. Literally. The ride op (guy in the purple) was actually having a lot of fun. I thought some people on here would like to see this Notice anything? Waukesha Beach has been closed for 61 years now http://rcdb.com/5339.htm Thanks for reading! Timber Falls up next. traincrossin
Wow, i've never seen amusement rides on the Summerfest grounds! I always thought that they should have some during Summerfest.

deathbydinn
This past Sunday and Monday I went up to the Dells with Jeremie (Jerrykoala2112) Griffin, (GriffyTiffy), and Jo (Jojo19799). We went to Knuckleheads, Timber Falls and Mount Olympus. I didn't take any pictures at Knuckleheads so if you want to see some, go here. We only stopped in Knuckleheads for the credit. After that we stopped at the Deer Park and ate at Monks before heading to the first park, Timber Falls. Timber Falls is a small park that consists of four mini golf courses, a log flume that wont get you soaked but has great theming, fun but slow bumber boats, the amazing Hellcat coaster (yet all signs still say Avalanche) and the awesome Sky Scraper. Even with the all day pass you only get 5 rides on Hellcat which is to help keep costs down. (Mt. O is killing them and people used to marathon Hellcat resulting in high maintenance costs.) Sky Scraper is $11 with an all day pass and $22 without. But enough about costs, here are my reviews: Hellcat - Still amazing. While it didn't seem as great as last year it's still a top ten for sure. Smooth the whole time in the front, only some slight roughness on the turns in the back. Timber Wolf log flume - Doesn't get you soaked (unless someone splashes water on you...Jeremie ) Doesn't have the best transition onto both drops though. Great theming through out the ride, wish the volcano effects were still on. Mini golf - We only did the course in the park. Kind of confusing layout with only one hole that we completely failed at. Sky Scraper - Completely worth every penny. If you just sit there you wont flip upside down a lot. Now if you want to go upside down a ton, you should do what Griffin did and ride with Zach. Zach is the ride op who knows how to flip the car and make your ride much more insane. To see what he's capable of, watch the video here. Now enough talking, onto the pictures! It's impossible to take pictures of the bumper boats without getting wet. Each car has a sprayer that goes well into the paths. Just amazing. Just because it isn't tall, doesn't mean it cant pack a punch! No more fire Skloosh! Small and oh so insane. I love shots like this. Jo and Jeremie Jo seems confused and unfocused These creepy creatures add more wetness to the bumper boats. Great views from the queue Somethings missing... Better! Heavenly. The flumes smaller first drop As you can see here there are lights on the side that light up the track in different colors. Something horrible is happening in this picture. Time for Sky Scraper! Seatbelt restraints ftw! Weee! For when you're too cheap to buy the DVD Zach on the left, Griffin on the right Now thats hairtime! It also brings this PTR to a close. Mt. Olympus up next! Jojo19799
Mini golf - We only did the course in the park. Kind of confusing layout with only one hole that we completely failed at. You mean the one that involved the massive water trap where we couldn't get the balls over it? I think I took a video of it.

Mr. Starr
So, what was Jo doing in the trunk of that car? I've never realized why I've never been to Timber Falls, Mount Olympus, or any of the other Wisconsin parks, considering that I live so close! Nice P:TRs, looking forward to more! Jerrykoala2112
I really think Hellcat is a very under appreciated coaster! I would HATE for it to be torn down because of Mount Olympus, but stuff happens. Anyways, it was definitely an awesome weekend! Fun, woodie filled weekend! Can't wait for the next update...
