Could tell you a long story about the reasoning behind it.. but i guess you don't care.. so i'm not going to.

Instead i'm just going to present a bunch of pictures of a bunch of rides and attractions there.

Feel free to respond and i hope you like them.

As far as i could see the Wild Eagle was not an upcharge ride. According to a sign you had to hand over 1 euro.. but i'm not 100% sure what for.

Looks like you would get a certificate after riding it.. and i assume this would pay for the costs of making those.

I did not get to ride it since it was closed when i finished my tour to the top of the hill..

I guess i'll have to go back someday..

Wild Eagle looks awesome and so does the rest of the park and your photos. That giant box was DarkRaver (As seen from the photo), and inside was a Round-up ride with its own theme music... scratch that, LOUD theme music! From the looks of someone's youtube video, it is probably the coolest round-up ever! (Spoiler Alert: This video is a pov of the ride taken by a random youtuber.)

I had never heard of this place before. Thanks for sharing this report!

What exactly does the Wild Eagle do? I can't really figure out where the ride ends/goes from the pictures.

Nice trip report, and the parks looks like a fun place to visit with lots of random attractions. It definitely looks like a great family park where people could spend a day, and it's a shame that we don't have more places like it her in the United States.

Wild Eagle looks like a lot of fun, and it is something that I can see showing up at Dollywood in the future.

Dbru-I believe it was made by the same company that made the ill-fated Vertigo. It is like a cable guided hang glider. You just go down a slope in a straight line and I think (or guess) that they pull you back up to the tower.

Nice pics of this park! I'd only heard of it. Also, they painted the speed snake like a milk snake (probably better as a coral snake which is white/yellow-red-white/yellow-black-white/yellow etc.). Are milk snakes common in this part of Germany?

I went to this fun little park last year. The Dark Raver is a Meteorite with a dance sound track and trippy disco lights. Wild Eagle is an up charge, the 1Euro is the price of the flight. It's good fun but not hugely intense, the brakes kick in too soon so only a short section is taken at full speed. Still worth doing once.

Not wanting to high jack the thread, but here's a link to my trip video http://www.coastertouring.com/Fort%20Fun.htm

I always enjoy your photo TRs, Hanno--especially when they're of places I've never heard of, like this one.

Question about the height restriction on Speed Snake--I can't read German, so I'm trying to figure this out based on the color coding, pictures and what few words I think I can decipher on the height check sign--but it looks like the green portion is the height at which you can ride alone and the yellow is the portion where you must be accompanied by someone taller. I'd always assumed that any coaster with OTSRs had only one height requirement since each seat is equipped with its own restraint. If you reach the yellow zone, how would it matter if someone taller were seated next to you in an entirely separate restraint? Is it just that the park would want a taller and presumably more mature rider with a smaller, and presumably younger rider? (Or is my lack of knowledge of the German language making me miss the point completely? )

Thanks for sharing, Hanno!

I think you are correct on this.

The green is the area were you are allowed to ride by yourself and the yellow is where you need somebody taller/longer to accompany you.

I guess it's mostly a reliability thing that they have this. The ride itself ain't (that) rough and i can see why kids would like to ride it and parents have to go with them...

It's an "easy" way to make more rides accessible to a bigger audience.

You seem veerryy enthused with your photo descriptions.

not sure what you are aiming for.. i can tell very long stories (which nobody will read) or just give the info (and still hardly anybode will read them) i can try to make jokes (and i suck at those) or just keep it simple and/or even say nothing..

This is me.. and i would like to give everybody a "presentation" of what a park looks like and what can be done.. and then it's up to you (the viewer) to make your own opninion.

Why? simple.. i don't want my mailbox spammed with complaints when somebody is having a bad time at a place i went to and had an amazing time and wrote a review like it's a must see place..

Besides.. i've been to a fair share of parks by now.. and one things for sure.. being someplace with a group is usually way more fun then going on your own...

I had never heard of this place before. Thanks for sharing this report!

What exactly does the Wild Eagle do? I can't really figure out where the ride ends/goes from the pictures.

Wild Eagle goes up the hill, about half way up compared to the observation tower. I'll see if i have some half decent picture of that later today (once i'm back home)

From what i've heard.. the speed was pretty good (as some folks talked about the wind and making it harder to breath...) but i did not ride it (so can't say anything to that) due to the lines and it being closed later during the day..

I kinda hate this place. Really. It's not really a good theme park compared to the other my country has to offer. I visited it once or twice when I was a child, because a few relatives of mine live near it, otherwise I probably would never have visited it or even heard of it. I even didn't like that park back then, really, I have no single good memory. Well yes, the Devils Mine Coaster was awesome as it is for every little boy who doesn't know that there is a place called America. However. I think, it is actually quite boring, if you compare it to other german parks like Europa or Heide Park.

Nothing that I have to visit again.

Thanks for these photos Hanno! I always love your perspective from parks. Heck - we've been on MANY of the same trips, but whenever I read and look at your trip reports, I see the park in a completely different light.

Great pictures as always.

What an awesome little park! and I'll keep my Indian mouth shut about the show [i know it's called Native American now, and why it's called that, but when i was born in 1967, it was still Indian, so...anyway, I digress] Thanks as always for the excellent and fun-to-read TR.
