pkdcoaster
Well there is not much I can say that has not already been said. The ride is Outstanding however I do give the edge to SROS/Bizarro as my #1 The ride got much better throughout the day and we stayed around for a night ride and it was amazing a night, dropping into the blackness like that with nary a light back in the woods. Zipping through the course at 80+mph gives an unbelievable sense of total loss of control. I took a little over 300 pics today but I looked at Chucks and everybody else's and only picked what I thought were the very best/unique. It was also Great to finally meet Robb and some other members from the board today. Enjoy, JEFF OK TPR shirt w/ I305+ Mr Alvey should equal 2 bags O crap Opening day is finally here Intamin Sexiness at its finest here we go This thing is massive (you can tell by the FAA light way more Air on this hill than I was expecting The Future is.........no supports Another good shot of air time before we define insanity no words needed In 1 train length the train rotates 180 degrees at about 80 mph what just happened? beautiful come ride me Edited April 3, 2010 by jedimaster1227

robbalvey
Holy crap I really did get sunburned! Although I think some of it might be windburn!!! Great pics! Hopefully Larry will have enough I305 pics to choose from for the Park Index. --Robb "You got a very rare Robb-wearing-glasses pic!" Alvey
cedarpointfangirl
Really awesome pics!! I loved the uniqueness of them!! ^^That guy in the front right seat in the white shirt...his expression is priceless!! LOL! I am insanely excited. I just bought some plane tickets for a weekend trip in June. Back to the park that started my insane love for coasters. Crazy that I305 sits in the location extremely close to where I rode my very first steel coaster with a loop, " The King Kobra"!! I can remember my mom and I getting on an off that thing about 10 times in a row, running to it like a bunch of crazies!! It has been 20 years since KD was my homepark and just as long since I was there. Can't wait!!!

pkdcoaster
Forgot to mention we rode the new Boo Blasters and it was surprisingly really good....had some really cool new effects but I won't spoil anything. I think it is better without Scooby doo and I am a fan of Scooby JEFF

I think it is better without Scooby doo and I am a fan of Scooby JEFF I agree, it is easy to see that Sally was involved in the transformation, there are completly new scenes and animatronics as well. I liked it with Scooby Doo but this is even better minus the pathetic name!
ArizonaGuy
Thanks for the coaster porn! AWESOME pics Time to go rub one out now.
Airtime&Gravity
Great pictures, some of the expressions in the closeups are funny, and the other photos do a good job of showing how massive this ride is. Although, when I see photos of I305, I can't stop thinking about how it looks under-supported, although, I guess that gives it an added thrill factor. downunder
Excellent pics, I especially loved photo 4, I think that captures the how huge the coaster is. This coaster sucks for me, aside from it being 12,000 miles from my doorstep, the leisurely Halloween tour I was planning now may have to get a KD visit shoehorned in there. griffon
I spent opening day at KD with Jeff, and had a great time talking with different people from all over the place. It was nice to meet Robb and others from the site, even though I’m still lacking a TPR shirt. After a couple days to reflect on the I305 experience, my opinion sounds something like this: It’s 80% the best ride ever, and 20% “ man I wish the trims were a little bit lighter.” I don't mind that the trims are there, I just feel like it kills some intensity and makes you think "what if..." Overall it’s a beast of a ride and very high on the list. There is no way to anticipate the intensity and even though the length of time you're on the ride is short it doesn't feel like it's missing anything. We rode in 5 different places and I don't have a seat preference (yet)... the forces felt about equal in any seat. Here are some pics, most have been seen before in one form or another, but in case anyone still wants to see more: Finally spring
bgwfreak777
Whenever I get up there, I might as well not even do a PTR. lol Oh well, I'll just have to ride it instead. Side question: Are the restraints identical to Maverick's? They look to be, which means I don't have to worry about fitting since I fit on Maverick fine. KDcoasterMAN
^ the restraints are "similar" to maverick's but with a cushion of softer restraint around the hard one. These restraints are amazing. BTW, these PTR's are so amazing!
Tbcoasterfan
How is it in turns of whiplash around the turns? I personally love all the tight turns on Maverick and this coaster seems the same x10! I hope I can possibly make it to the "in planning" TPR event there in August, although I'm not betting on it cause I have a wedding to pay for this summer. In the mean time I'll just oogle all your photos and Robb's videos and just keep reminded that Cedar Point doesn't open for another month!. KDcoasterMAN
The transition S-Curves are smooth. They have a quick, but subtle pop of airtime to dull the snap of the turn. Not likes maverick's transitional S-Curves from what I've heard. I've seen "one" bad review about these turns and I don't really see the source as that credible. These turns are actually really thrilling!
Tbcoasterfan
That's good. Snap turns never bothered me as I'm tall enough to where my hear is well above the harnesses.
stricklandCC
Really great pics! Some of the most intriguing I've seen yet. IMO they show the intensity of the ride the best, ie: in picture 10 everyone is firmly grasping the handles, not a single hand up! And the picture showing the rapid 180 degree transition in a single trains' length, those quick snaps with small pops of airtime look amazing! Another thing I noticed in the POV, I really like the small jog to the right at the bottom of the first drop before the first high-speed right turn, Probably a heart-line\smoothing engineering thinga-ma-jiggy, but me likes! I had to add this coaster to my "must ride" list. Great photos indeed.
pkdcoaster
Another thing I noticed being around this coaster all weekend is that nobody screams on this coaster! It truly takes their breath away. JEFF
