boldikus
Has Magic Mountain been sued numerous times by guests that were seriously injured by flying phones?
Sven18
I was at Magic Mountain last week, and not a single ride forced use of the paid storage machines. Not one. Oh, and ride opps were as good, if not better than Great Adventure. So those of you who defend the forced paid storage machines should visit the chain's premiere park to see how it is done. X2 requires paid storage. They have people watching to prevent people from trying to dump stuff on the side or hide it in the station.

Sven18
Has Magic Mountain been sued numerous times by guests that were seriously injured by flying phones? Somehow I doubt New Jersey has a monopoly on frivolous lawsuits. Getting hit with a loose article that causes actual injury is not frivolous. The parks get sued but in fact the parks should make patrons liable if they have a policy of no loose articles on a ride. The main culprit of loose article violations is cell phones which could be solved by a state law making use of cell phones a crime, ie...Ohio. The patron is not only be prosecuted criminally for breaking the law, but liable of any injury the cause in violation of the law.

X2 requires paid storage. They have people watching to prevent people from trying to dump stuff on the side or hide it in the station. Not when I was there. You are guided to the storage area, but you could leave your stuff on top. Considering there are only 3 trains worth of people allowed in that area at the time, it is safe. Additionally, placing the paid storage in the station is much better than at the ride entrance, as it lets you have your items during your wait. alilstronger
I cant wait till FF and I hope they improve all the trails. The atmosphere at the park during halloween is awesome. Its going to be great The only improvement I want is for them to actually be scary. I wasted over $100 last year on the their haunted houses and regretted it. They send way too many people through at once. And NO ONE popped out at us. They just stood there and shook their little home made rattles. jamesinclair
One more thing MM did 100% better than Great Adventure.... Attendants in the parking lot organizing the flow, so people park in orderly rows and dont leave empty spaces.

DoinItForTheFame
Sooooo, I know it's not till next season, but I am super thrilled that my partner and I are going to be going to Great Adventure together for the first time! (Previous trips I've always gone alone because he has been working.) I think the highlight of this entire trip is going to be getting to ride Zumanjaro: Drop Of Doom with him! can't wait!! boldikus
The last time I was at the park (Memorial Day wknd) they had attendants directing traffic and guiding people into spots. I've heard from friends they encountered this a few times over the summer.

I went last season with my partner. It was the first time for both of us. I have to admit... getting his ass on zumanjaro WAS the highlight lol. He freaked the hell out the whole time. I died laughing. Lol. You two will have a blast.
larrygator
Lol a couple friends said the same thing. BAFF, ROTB, a concert, and this beautiful weather? Of course it is! I figured it must be a BAFF day. I only stopped by on my way to Atlantic City to activate my 2018 pass. Surprising there was a short line at the cheesesteak place, so i grabbed a bite to eat. Of the two Freestyle Coke Machines at the Sky Bar. Only the right side one had Barqs Cream Soda. If you get it with orange flavor it tastes like a creamsicle. Chasehat
Congrats to El Toro for winning #1 wooden coaster at the Golden Ticket Awards! thefed29
Made my return trip down to Jersey this past Saturday for my second ROTB event. Fantastic event with fantastic perks. Highlight of my day though was putting my big boy pants on and getting on Zumanjaro. Only drop tower I have successfully conquered was Scream at my home park, SFNE. I can do Ka no problem, but man Zumi is just intimidating. Convinced myself once it got dark I would give it a go (as maybe It wouldn't seem like being so high??). But man it was amazing! What a rush. So amazing I did it twice. So glad I got myself on that thing. If anyone out there is in the same boat just do it!

There are several wooden coasters out there that are far superior than El Toro. . . I mean, El Toro isn't "bad" but it really isn't the "greatest woodie on earth."
