DATman
^Really? I didn't think the footprint would be that big. Unless they aren't using all of the space, or are putting in a few flats.
swampfox
Perhaps they will use the extra space for themeing, as those 2 rides are pretty near each other if I remember correctly. Nice themed line like Batman maybe? I'm kinda wondering how these Dark Knights will turn out. Looks promising on the themeing side right now, but they haven't told us much either. kraxleRIDAH
^ Yup. Movie Town Water Effect is literally RIGHT next to Chiller (only a few feet from it). To get an idea of just how close MTWE is to B&R:TC -- http://www.amusementpics.com/SFGAdvNotesFall2007/092907-032.jpg
TheRapidsNerd
Anybody have new/more recent pics of the dismantle? I'm archiving any found for reference. Thank you to those who've already taken pics.
BuddyChrist
Here are pics from Amusementpics.com from last weekend. http://amusementpics.com/SFGAdv%20News%20&%20Notes%20Fall%202007.htm#Chiller
Axman
This whole thing is so sad. I still remeber looking at the ride's concept art when I was 6, and being blown away. Also, the tradoff from Chiller to indoor wildmouse will be difficult to take for the thrill seekers out there.
BuddyChrist
I remember when I saw it at the park for the first time I said "Where's the rest of it?! Why are they running it when they're not finished building it!"
Scaparri
I still can't get over this! I really hope it finds a new home somewhere in the U.S. This is up near the top of the list of rides I want to ride. Yes, I am a self-professed Premier fanboy. DATman
They do seem to be taking it apart rather carefully for me to think it's going away forever. My bet is that, for now, it will go into storage, and my prayer is that it becomes the replacement for Psyclone at SFMM.
kraxleRIDAH
^ Ugh the last thing Magic Mountain needs is another unreliable shuttle coaster.
DATman
^Deja Vu has been pretty reliable in recent years, and, well, no one really rides Superman anyway.

Medusa1861
Just at Gadv today. Update.. More of the cobra roll is gone, the LIMs have been "unplugged" You will probably see pics of that later. Also, the air gates are now removed. Oh and the stairs to Robin's cobra roll are removed and still assembled but placed inside Water Effect. Axman
I always thought this ride was sort of an eye-sore. It did to SFGAd's Gotham City what Superman did to all of SFMM. GAd's Gotham City will probably seem so open after its gone, but not after the new building is built.

A big sign as to why i don't like the new Six Flags, GAdv doesn't have a gotham city, it's called "Movietown" and it used to be... related to movies and not just all about Batman. supermanrosfan0810
It would be cool to see them take down just the cobra roll first so for a bit it would be just Batman's top hat.

Scaparri
^Or what would be totally cool is if they carefully take it down piece by piece so that it can be built somewhere else.
Jim S.
Can you imagine how ridiculous they're going to look if they sell it and somebody actually gets it running properly?
asr
Can you imagine how ridiculous they're going to look if they sell it and somebody actually gets it running properly? Not really... Enthusiasts already do mass amounts of complaining about the Six Flags chain, it wouldn't change much... Unless of course another Six Flags park bought it and fixed it. I don't know how that would be responded to be enthusiasts.
