strz
Yeah, they're also currently in progress on repainting the Coney Island Cyclone over here. But why bring this up in the Great Adventure thread? Am I missing something? Are they going to do Nitro or Bizarro again? Both of those could really use a fresh coat... Simply found it interesting, that's all! And figured others would as well.... Interesting that CP is repainting TTD "already," IMO.
TyRush
I think if they pained visible Nitro track like the station area and lift hill/drop it would be a happy medium.
coasterbill
I am curious as to when they'll release the ride list for Holiday in the Park. The website has been telling us to "check back" since April. Based on the map and press release it seems like we can figure it out but an official list would be cool. boldikus
Its a shame they didn't use this opportunity to get a new lighting package for the Ferris Wheel. Or at least replace the numerous broken bulbs.
michaellynn4
And I'm conflicted about them painting Nitro. Hell yes it could use it, it just looks terrible, but the majority of the ride can't be seen from the park so why waste the money they should use to completely redesign and repave the parking lot. Yea, I agree with this, too. I agree it needs some TLC, but I'm wondering how effective a thorough power-washing of the visible sections would be in improving the ride's appearance. A lot of the photos I see regularly cited as evidence of a paint job to me show mostly grime. Power-washing would be a more cost-effective short-term approach that would allow them to allocate funds to more pertinent projects.

EastCoastKid
Some more finalized info for this weekend's "extended days".... From Great Adventure Connoisseurs FB Group Bizarro, Safari, and Skull Mountain will be closed (as I'm pretty sure most people already knew), but Zumanjaro will also be closed, as well as Batman (...FINALLY being changed to forwards again? It's time) I'll be heading to the park Sunday and this will most likely be my last rides in for 2015 before I head to Australia in February and *hopefully* hit up Dreamworld and Movie World! Also, 2015 Dining Passes will not be valid but 2016 Dining Passes will be. Weird.
coasterbill
Woohoo! Batman backwards was a great experience but I'm really happy we can ride it forwards again soon. I love front seat rides on Batman.
Password121
I'll be there at opening on Saturday. Planning on parking myself in the back of El Toro most of the day. Like seriously marathoning the crap out of it. If anyone else will be there, let me know! I'll be there alone so I'd love to meet up! @boldikus--back seat of the bull at opening? I'll be there. boldikus
^^ Also now the Batman wait will go back to its normal 5-10 minute duration. @boldikus--back seat of the bull at opening? I'll be there. Not sure if I'm gonna make it this weekend, if that changes I'll let you know.
michaellynn4
Also, 2015 Dining Passes will not be valid but 2016 Dining Passes will be. Weird. I can understand this. 2015 Dining Passes have been programmed to terminate on 11/01/15, the original end of season (this has always been the advertised date - they were never advertised to work for HITP). I imagine that trying to extend them to this extra week would require readjusting each specific account, something that just isn't reasonable. The 2016 Dining Pass didn't have a scheduled start date - it began working once you completed processing.

I love front seat rides on Batman. I've ridden it in the front, but it doesn't just have the same whip that riding in the back does.

deguy123
I'll be heading there Sunday to process my pass which of course waited to do last minute! As long as El Toro is open, I'M GOOD!
YoshiFan
I guess Zumanjaro being closed was a last minute change. I was at the ride Sunday night and heard the ride ops talking about who was working at the ride this upcoming weekend. I'm happy to see Batman closed if they are returning it to run forwards for Holiday in the Park, I haven't ridden the coaster since June before they starting running it backwards. EastCoastKid
Well it looks like Zumanjaro will be open now (which makes sense as it was not listed as closed on the website). Apparently someone in the FB "connoisseurs" group with "connections" claims there are SFNE employees at the park who were training to operate the ride. Did you get the pass during the special they were having cause you had to get it processed by Nov 1st to get the Gold Upgrade.
Chris27
Should just leave Batman backwards. I also liked the new trains, the harnesses were bigger. My cousin hasnt been able to ride Batman in like 10 years, he's too tall and big for it but with backward new harnesses he was able to get on it. I bought my pass and dining pass already so glad I can use it for the few times I go. My dining pass will have paid for itself before the season is up and I got all next year to use it. Such a great investment for 100 bucks. Plus you get the drink cup and unlimited refills all year.

coneyislandchris
Whomever said Batman wasn't running this weekend must have had some misinformation. This is the current operating list... This is the current operating list... ...and here it is, still running backwards, as the crew starts decorating for HitP.

coneyislandchris
Not that bad, but busier than I expected to be honest. The super warm weather probably has a lot to do with it. So many t-shirts & shorts combos. Early morning was reride craziness on both Namtab and Nitro. Full station at Kingda Ka, but nothing spilling out past it.
