Parallax
The idea came to me a few days ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about how awesome it would be. What if Bizarro's trains were backwards? It would make it more bizarre and thrilling. Don't see how it wouldn't be possible either. Won't happen, but it would be fun as hell. CoasterPrince
Believe it or not, during the transition from Medusa to Bizarro the trains were actually going to run backwards. They were even tested backwards. However park execs. determined the ride was "too uncomfortable" in that position. Would've been a fun ride IMO. b&mforever
Wouldn't running bizzarros trains backwards require all the floorless station hardware too be removed and reinstalled backwards. It would have been cool but I have my doubts that it was actually tested. The anti rollbacks on the trains would have to be reversed as well. As mentioned, all the hardware in the station and on the train would have to be changed to be able to run backwards.
coasterfreak101
^They also had to change hardware in the station to be able to charge the audio systems on the trains. SheiKra changed all the hardware in its station when it was converted to a floorless a few years ago. I'm sure there's more examples - if a park wants to change things, they can find a way to do it. Especially if they're already remarketing a ride as totally different and completely new. I still doubt it though, so I'm with you there.
Parallax
I don't see how it would be uncomfortable backwards. It would be 3x as fun I think, especially going through the Zero-G and Cobra Roll. It wouldn't be too hard to redo all of the station mechanics and would probably get more people to go to the park to ride a backwards B&M.

Uncomfortable - because it wasn't designed to run in that manner. 3x as fun - how about 33% of the fun It wouldn't be too hard to redo all the station mechanics - how many stations have you redesigned? I'm not saying I will personally redesign the station mechanics, but it has been done before. Someone mentioned above SheiKra which is a good example. -Edge of Beast-
Thought it doesn't fit the rest of the water park, it's definitely something different. I never knew they had any of these at any park. Looks pretty interesting though! Oughta increase wait times by a hand full.

A.J.
IMO, turning Bizarro's trains around backwards would cause more trouble for the park than needed. One of those "great in theory, horrible in practice" things. I was personally fine when it was still called Medusa...

I'm not saying that it will happen because it won't. It was just an idea I had and I found it funny that it was on the park map.
kunpc1
^^Agreed. I was good with Medusa as well. But if it worked for the park to re-brand it, I guess it's a good thing. I completely forgot there were only 2 seats available in the back row this past summer when I visited... I'd be okay with that if the audio worked on a regular basis! larrygator
The transitions look really rough on the map and they removed the theming. IT MEANS NOTHING!
Rollercoaster Rider
Hopefully they'll re-do the trains so they're 32 and not 30*. *PS, 2 seats were removed to add audio effects. Just in case you didn't know.
cal1br3tto
Serious idea or not, turning the trains backwards just seems too, well, bizarre for me. I can see how the theming change might bring the idea to mind, but some coasters just don't seem like they should ever go backwards. Of course, I'd probably be first in line if that ever did happen to a floorless...
UrbanLegend
I just noticed that Bizarro's trains are backwards on the 2011 park map. I would definitely take the park map with a grain of salt (the size of your fist). The Six Flags maps are even less accurate than the Cedar Fair ones IMO, and they don't even have the charm that CF does. Or maybe they're trying to tell us that they'll remove the zero-G roll as well... CONSPIRACY!!!
deguy123
The one thing about Bizarro's theming that always makes me laugh is the horse that is sideways on the front of the station. Now thats Bizarre!
Parallax
I did say I know it isn't going to happen. There are a lot of errors on the map, I just found it funny that the backwards train was one of them considering I had the idea a few days ago. The ride was fine as Medusa, but I prefer Bizarro. It's really the same exact thing, just with mist and fire so I guess it's better with more. I've only been on it as Medusa once, and about 12 since it's become Bizarro. The on board audio is just crap though. They should go back to the regular trains that have 32 seats instead of 30. And while they're at it, make them backwards (I feel the need to say that this is sarcasm).
