coasterlover420
In my opinion, KK's launch is much more bearable than SR's. The big difference is that KK's launch starts off rather slowly and SR's begins with a bang. The thing that really gets you about KK is the roughness. Especially on the drop. jordanthejordan
I've been on I guess the top three Intamin rockets in America (KK, TTD, and SR) and I rank their launches as follows: 1. SR- It's not really the intensity. The intensity is there but it is more evident in the others. What gets you is that voice. It freaks me out every time. 2. KK- Fast but shaky. Also, it is very noticeable that at the end of the launch it dies down A LOT and like someone else sed its really like a gradual growth while SR is right from the start. 3. TTD- Bleh
Erik Johnson
They have released a clip from Harrison Ford's new movie, "Morning Glory." The segment features some poor weatherman having to ride GASM. I am sure that he was not acting while riding the coaster. http://www.reelmovienews.com/videos/morning-glory-roller-coaster-clip/
King
There's nothing to be afraid of on KK's launch. The line was so long I was only able to ride it once during my last visit but I thought it was great. If you can handle Volcano and Flight of Fear, KK shouldn't be a problem. You won't notice the difference.

sixflagsgadvguy1000
I guess everyone forgot about the Green Lantern. Green Lantern looks awesome. I am so excited to ride it when it opens this summer.
ernierocker
I guess everyone forgot about the Green Lantern. What about it? Do you have a construction update? Something new to tell us about? If not, why would anybody be talking about it?
TXman308
As a little random topic, does/is Kingda Ka supposed to go over the top hat this fast? LINK REMOVED ADMIN EDIT: I went ahead and removed the link for two reasons. The first is that you are not yet allowed to post links, per our Terms of Service, as you do not yet have the minimum of fifty legitimate posts. The other reason is that the video you linked to seems to be an unauthorized POV video, which we do not allow. chadster
I think that's one of the worst POV's I've seen in some time. I think the speed is about right, especially if the trains before this one were heavier, the ride would launch faster, plus, the camera shaking doesn't really help in making any determination. Hayzle
I've heard Green Lantern went vertical recently does anybody have any pictures?
DiveMachine
Green Lantern Update: Recently Flying Phil went on another one of his flyovers and something strange popped up. There are 4 white pieces of track that are apparently for the corkscrews that will remain that way. Weird? I was told there would be surprises in the ride, but this is just puzzling. What do you guys think?
phantomfan93
I know white is actually a big part of the Green Lantern if you read the Brightest Day and Blackest Night. Anyway Green Lantern I believe is going to be awesome.
Blind Idiot God
I know white is actually a big part of the Green Lantern if you read the Brightest Day and Blackest Night. Anyway Green Lantern I believe is going to be awesome. This is based off of the film, however, and the villain of the film is Parallax. Necron and the Entity, if they ever do appear in a Green Lantern movie, are most likely a long ways away.
CHILLERLC1
White track to reflect green LED lights in the canopy/tunnel sections?
Hayzle
how about it just snowed and the pieces are coated with snow?
traincrossin
how about it just snowed and the pieces are coated with snow? I love your logic! Hopefully all the footers are poured and that they can get this ride up during the Winter! If not, they'll have to wait till the snow melts. DiveMachine
how about it just snowed and the pieces are coated with snow? I thought that too, until I stumbled upon this at greatadventurehistory.com: Cool, the special (not green) sections have arrived for the corkscrews! B&MIntaminGCI
how about it just snowed and the pieces are coated with snow? That wouldn't make any sense, 4 pieces out of all the track pieces magically stay covered in snow while the rest don't..
Hayzle
Some of the pictures make them look white other make them look coated in snow. All of the pieces are being repainted and if the paint was fresh the snow would stick to it as we have not seen these pieces before. And besides it could just be a primer that they will paint later. I wont believe it until trains start running.
