I might be late in this discussion, but do we know where Dinosaurs Alive is going?

 

DA is going in the wooded area in between grizzly & WWC just behind the go-karts.I just hope they save enough room for an extra ride or two to go in the remaining woods since OV could use some flats or even a small coaster like a mine train or something along those lines.

I really want KD to post a picture of Windseeker from top of the Eiffel Tower! Anyways, this looks great and I'm glad they got it up so fast!

Wow! That went up fast. WindSeeker's location is superb, and it looks good with Xtreme Skyflyer.

^ I think the location will be good while riding to because on one side, you will have nothing but Virginia countryside views and on the opposite side there will be the whole park to look at. Also, it will give riders views that they've never seen before from that end of the park and all 4 300'+ attractions are spread out pretty well. FInally, this should give drivers on I-95 something to look at...

I wish the Windseekers came in other colors. I know Knott's is different, but all the others are the same so far.

Funny how KD came from behind to get the tower up before carowinds did.not they have to install the carousel portion & the seats before starting the first test runs.

Drove past KD over the weekend and with the Windseeker tower, the park has quite a number of tall structures to gawk at from interstate 95. (At night the Windseeker tower was lit.)

So heading south on 95 what pops into view first? ET or windseeker?

^Usually I see the ET first but this time to ME it was the Windseeker tower only because it is something I hadn't noticed before since they topped it off. It was really brightly lit up at night though, when I went back passed the park, so you definitely knew what it was. Now it is pretty cool to have ET, Windseeker Tower, Drop Zone, and I305 all towering in the sky.

That's good to know that they already have the lights on the tower. It's really going to light up that section of the park.

 

Also, that's good to know that the park has a good skyline from I-95 south towards Richmond because I know when you come from I-95 north towards D.C. you have to look through the trees to see Drop Tower and Intimidator 305. I'm sure you can see Windseeker from I-95 north since you can see the Eiffel Tower and that's further away from the interstate than Windseeker is.

 

I'm hoping the park or Coaster Crew does another update soon!

I'm looking forward to Windseeker, becasue it sounds like a "flat ride" that I might actually like (I do enjoy Star Flyers).

I'm looking forward to Windseeker, becasue it sounds like a "flat ride" that I might actually like (I do enjoy Star Flyers).

I'm also looking forward to it. It doesn't seem like a thrill ride, or and kiddie ride, just a ride to relax on.

I can never see I-305 through the trees You guys must have a good eye! Could anyone possibly take a picture of the completed Windseeker from outside of the park?

We didn't get anything up here but just a scant 30 minutes away Woodbridge sure got hit.

Really? How do you get that much snow there when here in Ohio, further north, we've at most gotten a quarter inch.

^I'm about 80 miles north of Doswell and I've gotten less than two inches total this entire winter. It's been a weird/terrible winter!

I'm in Roanoke, VA and we got 8 inches of snow Sunday/Sunday night, which is more than a lot of our family from Ohio has gotten. Here is part of my backyard...

 

 

As far as the amusement parks go, I'm sure KD and BGW is thrilled with the mild weather on the eastern side of the state for Windseeker and Verbolten construction. It also helps them get other park improvements done such as pavers, paint, ride rehabs, ect.

 

Back to the original discussion though, Windseeker sure does look good in the KD skyline. 4 attractions over 300 ft. is quite impressive. One thing park visitors do notice about the height of the attractions.
