Sticky Nicky
Thanks for sharing. I'll bet that they are working on the cobra roll right now as we type.
DRACHEN_FIRE_FAN-BOY
dear god I hope so..... Â I still say that it was dumb of them to first advertise that it would be open on opening day this year. Â we all knew there was no way in hell that was gonna happen. KDcoasterrider66
The cobra roll is up! My son and I went on our weekly walk up there and saw the cobra roll, and they are still working full steam on it. There is still alot of track still sitting in that lot, though. That is a long ride! pkdcoaster
/\ You guys should take your camera on your weekly walks  Thanks for the info  JEFF
KDcoasterrider66
We keep meaning to do that, but keep forgetting to take one! We'll try to get some shots on Saturday when we walk up there. Season is almost here! Â Joe and Josh
pkd freak
YEs, the season is almost, just one more week, and hopefully I will have some photos from opening day up.
carolinacaniac
I am telling you what, the location they picked seems like a good spot for it after seeing some of these other pictures. Can't wait to see what it is like when it is all said and done. May have to sneak up there for a day and ride.
Jekoon
The new park map is up at their website.
swampfox
Yeah, and I must say I'm not a big fan of Cedar Fair's map style. I guess I'll get used to the cartooniness though. It's not as bad as the mid-90s Six Flags ones where they color coded it and you couldn't tell what type of coaster was what. Â Can't wait to try out Dominator. They said it'd be ready in May right? Sticky Nicky
I thinks it is scheduled to open on May 23, 2008. That's the Sat. of Memorial Day Weekend.
KrakenKing
Wow. Almost a year delay. Â Are you sure it isn't supposed to be May 23, 2008
virginiansasquach
Drove by the park the other day and it looked like it was coming up well. It was just from the highway but it looked like they had a lot up.
pkd804
Here is a Dominator construction update from Coaster Crew on March 15 Â www.coastercrew.com/intheloop.php?action=play&fileid=126 Â
vacoaster
At first I was doubting the location... but that video helped me see how its sets in and looks from within the park. Its gonna fit well. It will have inversions of any coaster in the park. And will pretty much tower over the other coasters. I just hope they will plant a few trees amongst the space within the coaster layout and weave the queue line within the structure/layout as well. Sticky Nicky
Coaster Crew has some new photos up as well. Here's a small sample: Â Â Â Â Â New colors of the track. The loop will still be yellow though. Â Â Â Find more at Coaster Crew.
yankees15
I am not to sure that I like that color orange. Not only does it look bad in my opinion, it looks like they did a messy job painting it on. I will have to see how it turns out once the whole ride is painted.
KDCOASTERFAN
^^The loop will not remain yellow,it will be painted a lighter shade of orange than the rest of the track.
knottslover77
I like the idea that the loop is a different color. Â --Jay
ECZenith
The ride will definately look better once it's all painted, they would never leave it looking "messy" like that. I actually like orange better than yellow for the track, Volcano's track is yellow already and it's pretty close to this ride. I'm looking forward to seeing the ride finished, painted, and landscaped, and I love the location at the front of the park. DOMINATOR looming over the front King's DOMINION, it just works... vacoaster
I like the idea of the loop being a different color too especially with the absolutely enormous size of it. The picture posted by pkd804 from the parking lot is my wallpaper because I underestimate the size of that loop. They should try like a color transition gradient similar to the color transition gradient technique used on avatar the ride at Nick universe . That would be cool how the orange transitions to the yellow (or light orange). I think that thing that doesn't work for me is the support color... I think id look better if they were the purple color that would match the trains, but I agree when its all finished it will look great. Â Anyone have pictures of the newly painted Beserker? Â Also just throwing this out there of no intention of starting a topic... I'm sad to see HS:XLC gone!!!! I had a similar experience to Will Holder from Coaster Crew if you read his Thrill Holder Blog.... however.. I think that space would be perfect for a Delirium/ Max Air Clone or Perilous Plunge Clone since Diamond Falls was removed!!!
sam06pr
I like the idea that the loop is a different color. --Jay  I don't it seems like a cheap or gettho way to "enhance" or make a ride look interesting

alpengeist04
Not looking forwards to an all forward Rebel Yell, though. Â Tell me about it. Going backwards was so much better than forwards on that coaster. Thanks Cedar Fair.
