Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

LOL what debate? There are no lines at Dorney. You know it, I know it. The only ones who want to debate this are the locals/employees on here that know the truth based on obvious evidence provided by the surrounding parks, but feel compelled to defend their home turf. I get that, but there is no lines at Dorney and there is no debate to be had about it. (I'm no talking about the waterpark, I know it does well.)

But seriously, they could have just moved the Screaming Swing right there where that queue switchback is in front of Thunderhawk that probably hasn't been used in over a decade. If new trains and paint job change that I'll eat my foot.

Paint looks great but when will Dorney realize they will never need all that queue?

One day Dorney will be more popular than all other Cedar Fair parks COMBINED...

...not really...

Yea in the year 2346 when we're long gone and Cedar Fair decides to re-do the entrance ala Cedar Point and Carowinds.

Even then the park will recieve only a Tradional Giga when all the other parks are getting levitating magnet coasters.

preseason update

Up in the employee lot, saw them moving dominator a little up and down the tower and a slow speed. And Stinger was testing for about an hour or so.

I didn't realized that until news plus notes showed it. Any thoughts or predications as to where it is going to be? I think it will replace a haunt attraction.

Dorney Park update: I was at the park today to get my season pass and noticed a couple things. They are still taking down those Halloween things used in the water park. Talons trains were on the transfer track. Cedar Creek Flyers had a crane down there. Wave Swinger still needs to be set up.

People were going through here for the open house today.

Those little houses still need to be taken down from the Halloween event.

If you look closely, Wave Swinger still needs to be set up.

They displayed Thunder Hawk's sign and what the new trains look like.

There is a crane in that green fence to help get ready for Cedar Creek Flyers.

The crane for the flyers is because they are getting ready to rebuilt it. The open house was yesterday, I know there was training all day today. They also have been working little by little and the swings.

I knew that about Cedar Creek Flyers. Yeah people were going in and out of the park for training.

Dorney Park haunt management confirmed of a new maze coming. Now Mike hinted a haunt and it looks similar to Voodoo at Knotts. So my question for all of this is if they are going to get rid of a haunt, or if they are going to put it in the new pump house being built by White Water Landing?

:b

It's a bayou themed haunted house. Mystery solved.

Oh?

I will say that I worked at Halloween Haunt at WOF last year (Bayou was new) and when Dorney reps came to visit, they were "very impressed" with it. Also, the plans from the Thunderhawk sign photo match almost perfectly with the plans for Blood on the Bayou last year.
