tinkerbell
I'm still not used to it yet, but I'm really liking the new forum so far. Also, it seems to be working a lot better on my iPod touch than the old one, which is definitely a plus.
robbalvey
^ Yeah the new forum certainly keeps mobile devices in mind more than the old one did.
PriestofSyrinx
This could be just a bug with the extension, but my Firefox Add-On called Fastest Fox, which loads the next page of forums, blogs. right on the same page without clicking the next page button. Â It works well going from page to page, but when there are no more pages in that topic, it treats each new week of the TPR calender as a new page, thus loading what should not be loaded. Â Nothing major, just a little mishap!
dammie16@vt.edu
There is something I don't like about this new look, but I can't put my finger on what exactly. But overall I like the new look much better then the old. Â I love it that you guys look out for your people and ask for feedback. freekeee
Has anyone else noticed the add foe button? What an amazing idea! (although really we should hope it doesn't get much use!)
ArizonaGuy
Hey Robb....is there a way that links placed in the forum by users can be set to open up in a new tab or window? It seems that every time I click a link that is placed in someones post, it opens up in the same browser/tab that I'm viewing TPR in. Â Just a thought. Thanks! traincrossin
^^That should be something you can change in your internet browser settings, not the TPR forum.
ArizonaGuy
^^ That would work great for me with the exception that I'm using a note book. As far as changing it in the browser settings, it seems like all other sites are opening links in separate tabs/windows. Considering the old forum would open links in separate tabs, I figured I would ask Robb about it.
robbalvey
^ Actually you make a very good point. The old forum opened up links in a new tab. Let me look into this... Â Or, let me ask Hanno! Â --Robb
coolhandluke
^^I was actually wondering the same thing (and also from a laptop, so the mouse solution wouldn't work). But it's already being looked into--awesome! Â Aside from that, I've been impressed with the new updates.
robbalvey
Should be fixed now for all links that are posted from here on out. For example: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?productID=
thrillrideseeker
I must say that I personally do not like the new TPR Forum, but thats just my opinion! I prefer the old style! I guess it was just because I was so use to the old one. I do like the way this one looks though, I just don't like the way it is laid out! But again... just my opinion. ~Matthew
robbalvey
^ I really want to respect your opinion, but we really did go to great lengths to make the layout as similar as possible as the old one. I don't like change either, and if it were possbile, we would have made it look EXACTLY like the old version. But look at the two images below. Don't you think we got it pretty darn close? robbalvey
^ But which version? Â Many sites (including Facebook) are no longer supporting anything below IE 7. Â For phpbb3 if you are using IE 6 or below, you really time to upgrade. Â --Robb
Hhappy
screen resolution might also be a cause. Are you running 1024 (or bigger)?
kidcoaster 2
It is IE 7 and yes I am running 1024 by
ebl
^ Just my two cents'...I was running IE6 and was hesitant to upgrade to 7 or 8, or to Firefox. But I bit the bullet and went for the Firefox 3.5.7---and haven't looked back. I say, "GET IT!" You won't regret it. Â Eric
austinlee
Overall I am very happy with the upgrade. The site loads much faster which I really like. I just have one question. Is it possible to have a button on each topic which jumps to the first post since your last visit to the site, rather than the most recent post in the topic?
