COASTER FREAK 11
So, there is an app/Facebook game called My Vegas Slots. Its a free game and you earn gold that you can use toward all sorts of things. Well, since MGM Resorts partnered with Royal Caribbean, there are now rewards for things related to Royal! Like on-board credit, free play in the casino, percent discount off cruise fare, and even free cruises! Just wanted to let people know. I have a cruise coming up next July, so I'm playing to earn on-board credit.
Mr Stratosphere
^I believe Royal Caribbean said it would be 'setup' for Dynamic Dining during the refurb but it wouldn't go into effect until March. My parents are on the transatlantic now so I'm hoping they'll hear some actual confirmations on all the drydock stuff happening. I am so jealous of them! Bucking list for me is to take a trans-Atlantic sailing, I bet Allure would be a blast for those days at sea!

RCCL says they never heard of it and tells you to call the game people and the game people don't respond back. Also, it was being reported that most of the good rewards were already gone. COASTER FREAK 11
The rewards seem to renew every day, but I'm not sure. As for using them, I think they probably show up under M Life points, because that's who is running the game. That''s weird though.
jray21
I hope they eventually figure it out because I'll definitely be saving a ton of points! That new ship really looks great, I can't wait to see more of it.

Stu K
you will love allure ! Oasis officially blew my mind! Just had itinerary change got St Croix instead of tortola any tips? Stu K
DirkFunk
St. Croix's shore excursions are all completely overpriced. Don't bother with them. Option 1) get off the ship, walk down the pier, go to the fort. Fort Frederik was originally built roughly 250 years ago by the Danish and costs some hilariously nominal amount to enter and tour on your own - its like $3. We self toured it and spent about an hour reading all the signage, taking pictures, stuff like that. I actually found it informative and discovered how shockingly little I knew about the USVI's history. You can then walk along the water front, get some drinks which will be cheaper/stronger than on the ship and return. Option 2) Get a taxi and take it to a local beach. I'm told Rainbow Beach is nice and I plan on doing that when I go in about 4 weeks time. Taxi ride is less than $30 RT and you can get a couple loungers and an umbrella for something like $25 once you arrive.
Stu K
Thanks for that may mix up option 1 and 2 found a nice bar on line at rainbow beach!

_koppen
Here's an seriously amazing video of the navigating out to the sea for one of the biggest ships Meyer have ever built (Meyer weft is located upstreams in a river). I am so not jealous of the captain in the tugboat!
Nrthwnd
I cannot imagine myself, ever on anything as HUGE and stunning, as this ship is! I mean, the overnight ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki on the TPR Scandi Tour did me in, that second time (first in '09). I was in cruise ship heaven, even with this being an "overnight cruise", heh.
