linearinduction
^ Intamin certainly uses some more conventional flywheels. (Or, for instance, the "flywheel" for the first launch of Juvelen is the second one, and vice-versa).I thought only the Maurer one and Wicked use brakes as an generator. -- So, where are the experts to identify/confirm the manufacturer based on the footers? Third pic, look in the trench. That screams Intamin to me! Both Gerstlauer and Premier Rides have also used Flywheel Inverters on some of their LSM Coasters to Buffer the Peak Electricity Load. While Wicked, Fluch Von Novgorod, Blue Fire, Helix, Karacho, Takabisha, etc. have the InTraSys Beilim Stators set up for the Energy Recovery System, I have not heard if anyone has installed the necessary and expensive storage components to power the Flywheel Inverter. Dar
These have just been uploaded by Klugheimleaks which has been chased all over the web by PL! It can now be found at http://klugheim.0xhost.net/wp/...for now. Keep checking their Twitter feed for updates if it gets moved again I assume they've wrapped the supports and track because this part is going to be indoors? Or at least feature quite close theming? RyanTPM
I'm not sure why the track and supports are wrapped but this certainly seems like it will be a really great coaster
KarlaKoaster
My first thought was possibly spray-on concrete to create rockwork. Phantasialand really know how to integrate their rides into the park to make them look like they've always been there, particularly Black Mamba and Chipas. _koppen
Damn!! Look at the radius of those overbanks! 130km/h definitely seems likely after all. I'm gonna say the wrap is just there to protect it while they do the theming.
Paradox
These have just been uploaded by Klugheimleaks which has been chased all over the web by PL! While I understand that we want these updates, I feel bad for Phantasialand as they were trying to keep this a secret, but now it is being leaked all over the web. RCT3Bross
^Theme park's basically have lost control in this internet era. They have basically 2 choices: 1 accept the fans curiosity and let them be (like most parks do) or 2 make sure nobody can see the construction site form any direction (this is impossible, yes). People find a way to keep uploading these photo's. Seems like this will be a really big ride.
StealthFan
I'm not sure why the track and supports are wrapped but this certainly seems like it will be a really great coaster My guess would be to protect against whatever work will be done near the track from example debris, stray paint, alien laser beams and shark attacks! I305forever
They should just give up their whole rule about not being allowed to upload photos the internet. It clearly isn't working.
tarheel1231
Will someone fire up NL2 already so I can see this beast in action?
I305forever
If it actually does go 80 mph and have inversions that would make it the fastest roller coaster operating to have inversions right?
tarheel1231
^ That record belongs to Furious Baco (I think) at around 84 MPH.
rcjp
^Yes, it does. This really is looking promising, especially with the theming they put on their rides.
I305forever
Its going in the "Mystery" section of the park with mystery castle right? If it is, I'm guessing the theming will be like the rest of the section with an old gothic look and very drab colors.
intothewild
^ That record belongs to Furious Baco (I think) at around 84 MPH. But I bet the new ride will be smoother
I305forever
^ It better be. Those outside seats on Furious Baco always ruin my whole day, despite the actual ride itself only being about 25 seconds.
KingRCT3
While I understand that we want these updates, I feel bad for Phantasialand as they were trying to keep this a secret, but now it is being leaked all over the web. Well, me too - yet Klugheimleaks is really like an "underground" website and I don't think the GP have a clue of its existance. So basically the secret is shared through what, a hundred of people at max. And I'm sure Phantasialand will still be able to surprises us!
DonGeorge
I'm excited to see what Phantasialand will present. I remember being obsessed with this park last summer after Chiapas opened, and the concept of Intamin making their next neat themed coaster for them sounds very exciting. gerstlaueringvar
This is going to be one impressive ride! German parks are going really strong lately!
MARK
Man it's such a thrill to see traditional custom Intamin track going up again!
arpi
Some new pictures with more track installed. The Phantasialand wrapps als supports and track they have installed. Is this the new trial to "hide" the coaster from the visitors? The two curves look like high speed because of the heights and banking. Very nice! gerstlaueringvar
It's kind of weird to imagine a two-car-train flying around the layout at 80mph, even more with two rows of SkyRush style car. From the height and the banking of the turns, this would be one great ride!
coasterfreak101
Knowing how those wing seats ride on Skyrush, all of this banking looks veeery promising.
I305forever
^ Wait the coaster is going have the wing seats? How do you know? Anyway the coaster looks INSANE so far!
