Token Yankee Guy
So I worked from 3-9 today so I decided to bring my camera along and do a photo TR to show you guys a day at the service desk. Of course it's a new adventure every day, so come take some childrens tylenol and join me on the trip . Enjoy the ton of photos And here's my polo shirt that I wear to work. At the end of the night, the store becomes Stop & Hop. A popular gentlemens club that...umm...ignore that last part At the end of the day, the scratch tickets, lottery money, media for both registers, and western union & money order reports go into the bin to be locked up. This is the Bake Shop I worked a few shifts in. This is the front of the desk. fellow Co-worker Kristen, stops buy to buy $19 dollars worth of scratch tickets. Even I try my luck, but failed. Local customer and friend buys a scratch ticket from me that I suspected was a winner. She won $10 bucks We are even the only state (if I'm correct) that sells a $30 scratch ticket. We're a good store to buy scratch tickets since we got a wide variety Sketchy Guys Bag!!!! Turns out he was only in the store for 30 minutes this time...Usually he's in the store for more than 3 hours doing nothing. I got a brief moment to visit TPR. When the SurfControl some how disables it self I have access to the internet. ..and put it into the computer This is a fun part of my job. I take the department net sales from these reports yeah, we got a mini fridge behind the desk. Time to grab my department sales reports for the day....but where are they? Great view of the store from the two-way mirror. See Soren, cashiers stand up here and we got baggers. Greatest snack ever! me enjoying the thrill of drinking a loosing coca-cola bottle. I always buy regular Coca-Cola. Turns out I didn't win a free soda. Here's the conference room/break room with TV, microwave, and mini fridge. Debbie hides from the camera as she keeps an eye on the desk for me while I go on my break Dave, cringes because he was called to the bottle room. Yes that's a spoon on the bottle room keychain. It was put on there so people will know that they have them if they leave the store with them. At the start of my shift I gotta balance lottery to make sure it isn't off before I start my shift. Turns out lottery was -$3.00 This is what the desk looks like from behind, yeah it looks a bit messy but it's completely organized compared to other stores Here we are at the Stop & Shop...Pretty much in the middle of no where in Granby. That's how it is, Dunkin Donuts and Gas Stations everywhere, yet all the supermarkets are hidden. This is one of the ass-ends of town. This area is where the big nursery (plant nursery) which owns land on both sides of Floydville Travelling down Route 187 Driving down the neighborhood. BelizeIt
Holy Crap!!! Check out all those Scratcher tickets! A whole friggin wall know less! Not to mention one that cost $30.00!, I think that the max we have here in CA is only $5.00. You must have one hell of a lot of Lotto junkies in that state. So you work the "Customer Service" desk, have you ever reached across the counter and bitched slapped some whining customer??? Or does your employer frown upon that type of behavior? By the way, since you live in the land of the Red Sox, I assume your fellow coworkers give you frequent beatings?! Go RedSox!!!
Token Yankee Guy
Holy Crap!!! Check out all those Scratcher tickets! A whole friggin wall know less! Not to mention one that cost $30.00!, I think that the max we have here in CA is only $5.00 haha, the denominations we sale are 1,2,3,5,7,10,20,30. We were going to sell a 4 dollar scratch ticket, but it was intented for the first ever PC Scratch Game. But the state stopped the lottery corporation a day before the release on the base that it targeted children since it had cartoon figures on it. It was some legal law. You must have one hell of a lot of Lotto junkies in that state. Yeah, we do, just ask all my frequent customers that come into the store just for lottery. *cough*i.e. smelly joe*cough* So you work the "Customer Service" desk, have you ever reached across the counter and bitched slapped some whining customer??? Or does your employer frown upon that type of behavior? I haven't, but I have been tempted to bitch slap some customers since they are too thick headed on the assumption that they're always right. But it's fun to see their expressions when I prove them wrong. By the way, since you live in the land of the Red Sox, I assume your fellow coworkers give you frequent beatings?! Go RedSox!!! Actually, Connecticut is divided between Red Sox and Yankee Fans. The Southern part of the state near NY is more Yankee Fans. In the middle, a mixture of both fans, and in the northern part of the state it's mostly Red Sox Fans. And the yankee in my name makes a reference to someone who lives in New England. BelizeIt
^Sorry I misunderstood the Yankee connection. I myself, was born in Providence RI, and I have many family members living in that area. In fact when two of my cousins were visiting a "Southern" state, they were given some crap (By the locals) over the fact that they were "Yankees". The bitterness still continues after all these years!
AllisonY2K
Dude! I've never seen (or heard of) $30 scratch off tickets before. I think $10 is the most expensive we have around here. great pics, nice to see the place you've talked about in chat a few times. ..and you didn't have a winning coke cap, you didn't win anything on your scratch off ticket....it just wasn't your lucky day. :? Token Yankee Guy
^ You should see him at bowling. He is far humoris when it comes to bowling. He's the only one I know of that does a tennis grunt when throwing the ball down the lane. Craiggers "It sounds like a women's tennis grunt" K. Space Freak
Go Yankees!!! (As in the New England Folks). Oh, and the way I put it (I'm from West Hartford), half of CT goes to the Yankees, the other half goes to the Red Sox, and everyone else goes to Mets. So, thats like 107% or something like that.... You know, seeing pictures of your work makes me want to show you pictures of my work. Unfortunatly, I would probably get thrown in jail if I did that. Stupid Government Contractors... I dont even work in the military side of things!! Pish posh. Only 3 more days until I can leave this hell hole known as Everett Washington...
