What Was the Last Beer You Drank?

Seriously.. Four Loko can kill.... It's the kind of beverage you drink when you are thinking, "I like drinking real beer, but I'd prefer a hypercaffienated, 12% ABV, Malt Bevarage that tastes like a tootsie pop (Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Etc) and might make me throw up from the smell"... This is Ball Breweries answer to the state attorney general lawsuits banning sparks with caffiene. "We'll just keep making new flavors when the send us cease and desists on the old ones"... Anyways, drink one and pray you make it through the night... One 24oz (the only size they come in) is only slightly less alcohol than drinking an entire light beer six pack...

Man.. I should get one of these tonight..

Yea, Four Loko is no joke. One day me and a friend had two and a half each throughout about a 8 hour span, lets just say we dont remember too much.

I hear they are trying to ban them in California where I live, I hope not. These things are great for a quick fix, just as long as you dont overdue it.

The last beers I drank were from Fordhams Brewing Company at a concert in Baltimore. Fordhams is located in Annapolis, and being a Maryland resident, I was surprised I've never heard of them before. I tried everything they had on tap: a summer wheat beer that tasted like Shock Top, an amber that tasted like Yeungling Traditional Lager, and an ale that I was told was similar to Killians.

I don't remember exactly what they were called, but I thought all were pretty good. The wheat beer was a bit more spiced than even a Shock Top, a bit more than even a young girly drinker like me could appreciate! I thought it tasted more like a sweet cider than a beer. I thought the Yeungling-like beer was good. I'm a big Yeungling fan (can't beat 18 dollar 24 packs!), and I have to say I could taste a difference but still really liked the Fordham's beer. The Killians-like beer was much stronger, but it grew on me. Unfortunitely it was sold out of a keg at a concert so I don't exactly remember their names. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1512 I looked up Fordham's on Beer Advocate, but unfortunitely it left me even more clueless to what I had! If anyone is familiar with the type of kegs Fordhams typically sells to concerts in Baltimore, or thinks they may know more, please let me know! I'd love to buy this stuff again, and hopefully not for the rediculous 6 dollars for 16 ounces price!

Ginger Man sampler from my trip to NY. What a great bar this place was. Left to right: Southern Tier Farmer's Tan, Flying Dog Wild Dog Coffee Stout on cask, Southern Tier Mokah, Clipper City Siren Noire.

Southern Tier Mokah stole the show of these 4 for me, but I'm glad I only had 4 ounces, that beer is RICH.

^ Yeah, seems kind of ridiculous a bunch of BA dudes 2 hours from Russian River Brewing Company traded someone in PA for a Growler. Apparently according to my buddies the only place that filled growlers of it that week was this placed called TJ's, pictured below. The growler was fresh, arrived 5 days after it was filled. Honestly though, while it was good we put this next to Pliny the Elder and Pliny was better, Blind Pig was on par. I feel like a lot of the PA people may have given it excessively high reviews because they wanted to make other people be like "Oooh look at us they made this amazing DIPA for us that's better than other hoppy stuff they do!"

As you can see the Russian River Registration Ale paired nicely with my Burger King Chicken Nuggets.

^Hey, the first rule of Philly beer drinkers is "we don't travel for beer, we make them bring it to us!"

Nothing too exciting, but after being in Holmdel, NJ for a concert on Thursday night we were in dire need of food and beer that wasn't $12 for a can of Bud Light. Fortunately Uno's was nearby and brews their own beers.

Nothing different from my visit here last year with Renee, but the beers were very welcoming

Seeing as I'm working nights this week no actual beer post but more of an announcement.

I am now officially registered as a Brewer in the UK and can now sell my beer commercially! So I am no longer just a drinker of Real Ale I am officially a brewer of Real Ale.
