^They had to ditch the Gansevoort partnership because of the owners alleged ties to the Russian Mob, but it looks like they just slapped a new name on it and kept the same interior designs.

I'm personally thrilled to have Drai's back. After hour parties don't get better!

Some exciting news that is pretty close to my heart, the High Roller's lighting was turned on Monday and is undergoing testing and programming. Anyone that has seen it can vouch that it looks absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to share this wonderful attraction with the world.

The wheel was also featured in Travel and Leisure's "World's Coolest New Tourist Attractions."

Here is an image The LINQ posted on Facebook.

Looks great, but it's still kind of weird not seeing lighting in the middle. They missed an opportunity to have the largest LED sign in Vegas!

Rumored pricing is $25-$35 depending on when you ride.

I'm sure it will still do insane business, but for me personally, I'd much rather get a nice view of the strip for free in the lobby bar of the Mandarin Oriental! It's just about as quiet there as one of the pods would be too!

I Just don't see this wheel being a huge hit. We will see when it opens.

I really do see it being a hit. . tho wish there was something behind it instead of just parking lots.

but the view onto and down the strip will be amazing!

^ The parking lots will also doubles as festival area too. They are having an Academy of Country Music multi-day festival before their award show on April 6th.

I don't get why people talk so negatively on the wheel when they have yet to give it a shot or even seen the frenzy it's creating among locals and tourists for just being lit up at night. The wheel will do just fine.

I'm actually more curious to see how the businesses themselves do. The wheel is sure to bring a lot of curious folks in, but the question is will they spend money at the Linq? I'm sure the Yardhouse will do amazing business, but the other places may have to try harder.

I'm also curious about the reaction. I am sure there are some cool things being planned for the pods, but I personally think keeping people entertained/spending money is going to be a challenge. "Ok, I got the cool strip views and my photos…now what? I'm still stuck here for another half hour…"

And honestly the location is perfect, its smack in the middle of the Strip, I have a feeling The Linq will be very very busy.

Like for example, Manhattan Express is always busy, but had the ride been built, oh lets say at The Sahara. It wouldn't have as much ridership.

The Linq and High Roller are in a central area where it will get a lot of foot traffic.

The ACM Festival is the only thing that's been announced. There are definitely other events in the works though.

Got a chance to preview the new Yard House tonight. The food is the same as other Yard House locations (which I think is fairly delicious). Best part is what Yard House does best, the amazingly huge selection of beers. 175 Taps and and addition 65 bottled options. The building is on par to most other Yard Houses except this one is gigantic. It was a huge downstairs and a sizable second floor. They also have a great balcony with views of the High Roller and neat little patio on the ground floor for people who what to lounge and drink but not be seated in the restaurant booths.

mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2014-03-03/caesars-sells-four-casinos-to-affiliate-for-2-2-billion.html

Caesars Entertainment Corp. (CZR), largest owner of casinos in the U.S., will sell four properties to an affiliate for $2.2 billion, freeing up cash as the company works to restructure $24.5 billion in debt.

Caesars is selling the Bally’s, Quad and Cromwell casino-hotels in Las Vegas, as well as Harrah’s New Orleans, to the affiliate, Caesars Growth Partners LLC, according to a statement today. The transaction leaves Caesars Entertainment Operating Co., the company’s largest subsidiary, with more than $3 billion in cash, some of which will be used to reduce debt.
