Vote for your "Top Three" Favorite designs!

 

First off, I want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone that submitted a design. And even if you do not win this contest, please, if you are interested in helping out with other designs for the website (Site layout, T-Shirt logos, DVD covers, etc) please drop me a PM or an email and let me know! We may have other fun opportunities for you to help out!

 

WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!!! Lots of it! Now that all the cards are together and easy to look at all once, please let us know things like "I'd really like to see the logo from Card A with the layout of Card B", etc, etc...

 

If there are elements you really like, let us know as it's very likely we will combine designs to create our final card.

 

To give you all a little update for Club TPR - we have heard back from about 15 different parks in Europe and the USA who are interested in giving our club members park discounts.

 

We also have been told that our club members will be invited to HoliWood Nights, CoasterMania, and able to take part in the Kings Island morning walkbacks.

 

I expect to have final details and roll out the club registration in early March.

 

If you did not specify "official entry" on your card entry, I went with the latest one you submitted.

 

Please remember that the final winner will be decided by Robb & Elissa.

Great results from everybody, I can't wait to see how this turns out. I voted for jcrouse, rcrider, and n7.

 

Personally, I really liked all of jcrouse's entries, but I'm really not a fan of the red bar on the side. If his design is chosen, perhaps other colors could be considered?

^ I have to be honest that I am leaning towards jcrouse's final entry as well, but there are a couple of things I'd like to see. For example, a version of his card that has:

 

- Something "theme park related" as of right now there isn't much that says "theme parks and roller coasters."

 

- Perhaps a version of his card with jds' logo

 

That's about it, really.

 

My top three are Angry Gumball, n7, and jcrouse with jds as a runner up for his logo (wasn't a fan of his actual card.)

 

And I'm kind of bummed that n7 hasn't responded to the thread in over a week. What happened? I think his card has a lot of potential.

Lol, I don't blame you. I wasn't into my card much either, I should have started earlier.

^ I do think that had we seen more revisions from you with our feedback it really could have stood out more.

 

But as it is an actual photo won't work for the card (it just won't print well) and some of the elements were either too busy or just wouldn't quite work. But I did like the overall design and I *LOVE* the logo!

I really like the donkey on J man's card, but am missing something themepark related in the background. I like the backgrounds on the other 2 parks.

Maybe that with the logo of Jds03, I would like to see that.

My Top 3

N7 - the card is crisp and fun

Angry Gumball - Clean, timeless, but didn't the silhouette used to be more rides than just a coaster?

Jman - the donkey might be too light hearted for some, but this card just screams TPR

 

My favorite logos were supertrooper and AlmereStars but don't think their cards are as strong.

I agree - what is kind of a shame is that over the years we have actually had many people (senior management at parks, actually) suggest that the reason why we have used the donkey was a subliminal nod to the democratic party!

 

It has NOTHING TO DO with anything political!

 

And it's because of this is why we've kind of gotten away from it over the past couple of years.

 

That being said, it is probably likely we will do another T-Shirt with the donkey on it, but it's not something we would probably incorporate into our Club TPR logos.

That's a bummer because even as a hardcore conservative I never had a problem with the Donkeys. I thought it epitomizes the random fun that the site is all about.

^ It does...and we will continue to use it with some of our materials, but probably not something that will be seen by parks who have made comments on it in the past.

I voted for n7 as one of mine but honestly I liked his very first design better than the one in the poll now. This may be because it was simple, like myself.

I voted for jcrouse, n7 and rcrider. I must agree with piers. The first version of n7 looked the best in my opinion.

 

but the logo of jds03 is also great. Don't like the card.

n7's is good but I don't like the current logo he has on the card. The older one is better.

 

rcrider's card makes the logo really stand out. Nice. Wish it had a little more color to it like n7's

 

Liked Calaway Parks too but not of the logo. Replace it with rcrider's.

I like n7's design a lot. I think it's a bit too "bright?". I think that design and layout would look good with colors similar to what rcrider had for his (which was also a great card).

I'm not a huge fan of jcrouse's card, just seems a little dull and not very stylish ether, hmm, rcrider's is my favorite and i like Angry_Gumball's card and logo, n7's card is good too

 

If it was my decision i would have no clue which card and logo to choose... none of them seem to go perfectly together, and its like they all were a few inches away from something fantastic.

I would actually love to see a combination made between the three I chose, but I'm guessing that unfortunately, (based on Robb's above explanation) the Donkey wouldn't make the cut.

 

I voted for n7's card because I find that it has the best overall look for a membership card. I voted for J man's because of his use of a well-known TPR "icon" of sorts. My final vote was for jds03's card, purely because I think his logo is the best one I've seen in this contest out of them all.

I really enjoyed Angry_Gumball's card. It is both theme park related (Which would, of course, make sense) and very sleek and professional. He really did a nice job!
