Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGT Discussion Thread)

p. 348 - Iron Gwazi POV!

Recommended Posts

Are we 100% sure that the test was strength and not fit? I could see them shop assembling this complex structure to make sure all of the pieces would fit out in the field. Making a modification while everything is still in the shop is much eaiser than in the field.

Holy crap you nerds are a tough crowd.  It looks like a coaster that will make me hoot and holler the entire time I'm on it while simultaneously trying to throw my fat ass as far from the train as pos

It means that you can look forward to a fun-filled day riding Kumba, Montu, Cheetah Hunt and Sheikra and while you're in line for one of those you might be able to watch an Iron Gwazi POV on your phon

I actually agree with many of you talking about how the RMC's are all very similar.  And that's fine. There's nothing wrong with building a ton of very similar kick ass rides when most people who ride

Ding Ding Ding I think we have a winner.

We have had awesome coverage of this ride so far. Thanks to everyone , it's been fun. Probably going to get a little trickier to get good shots. Busch, it's your turn to fill in a little seeing that you have the hard hats and all. We aren't still mad about the name so help us out a little. I need to have a good shot of the drop literally the second it is completed, all the way into the trench please.

TPR has improved my spelling.

I'm headed the BGT tommorow so I'll post some construction pictures. Also is the Mountu tour worth the $19.95? This will be my first BGT trip, and probably my only for a while.

^I personally haven't done that tour at BGT, but I've found at all of the Busch and Sea World parks you usually get a good value for the money of the tours. Make sure to post all your Cheetah Hunt construction pictures when you get back!

^^ It's worth it for sure. I believe you have to buy the tickets 24 hours in advance, at least you used to.

*Edit - the BGT site has them available for noon tomorrow, says you have to be 14 years old to participate.

Busch sent us a video and there was a launch was right after the next drop as I remember, so that's one, I guess 90-100 foot drop int a LAUNCH. this might be the new world's fastest roller coaster with added acceleration at the bottom of a drop.

That was just the editing, all that first trench is in real life is a straight run under a pedestrian bridge.

Alright Guys I just got back from BGT. It was great The backstage tour was awesome, I got some great views of Cheetah Hunt. I'll try to post the construction pics as soon as I find out how. (It's a new camera that I just got yesterday)

The coolest thing about these concerts is that they start right after you gorge yourself with the BBQ,I especially like the one at Sea World which is a buffet with pretty much everything you could ever want in a BBQ buffet. In Tampa it's different,no buffet but they have 6-7 different stands that sell BBQ from different regions known for BBQ.I've been the last two years to the Sea World one,two years ago it was great,Hall and Oates in concert and the entire pavillions area packed with people, this year it was like 40 degrees and wet and some weird crappy group called Yes that ended up having to play indoors due to the weather. At Busch Gardens this year was awesome,Pat Benatar and excellent weather, the only negative was Gwazi beating the hell out of me,it was around this time I started realizing how rough this ride has gotten.
